The memory that you would relive forever

Alright, first let me give a bit of context:

Last night I watched "After Life", a Japanese movie by Hirokazu Kore-Eda. Not the greatest film I've watched, but it introduced an interesting idea about what happens when you died. You are given 3 days to think of the most meaningful/happiest memory you have of your life. Once chosen, the thoughts and feelings that you had in that moment of your life would loop forever in your mind.

Even though, or perhaps because of the fact I'm only in my 20's, it took a few minutes of deep thinking about what would be the greatest part of my short existence. My choice in the end was a day with a storm. The clouds were blackish-gray with spectacular lightning and the rain was poring down like nothing else. What did I do? I ran outside in the fields for a good hour or so, singing and yelling merrily to the sky. It was a moment where no one in their right mind would leave their house, so it felt like the entire world was empty, and that all the possible worries were non-existent. Eventually I came back home completely soaked to the bone. I wrapped myself up with a blanket to warm myself up, and although I could already feel that I would go down with a cold, it was absolutely worthwhile.

So, what part of YOUR life would you relive forever?

This thread has made me deeply realize that I haven't made much of my life because I'm honestly having trouble thinking of a moment like that. I honestly don't have a memorable moment where I could just relive it forever. But it is a very interesting concept, and has gotten me thinking. Thanks OP.

My pleasure, though I'm pretty sure you must have at least one memory worth reliving. The best finds would be discovered in childhood memories, when you were young and naive :)

Well, this is sad. I can't think of anything. I'm only 17, nothing has happened yet.

My life is uneventful. My idea of a good day has been one without complications.
I do go to some of my friends' parties sometimes, I guess I'd have to choose that...

EDIT: Most of my touching moments are memories of chatroom friends on the internet, that have mostly left now...
I guess I could choose the time when one of the ones closest to me who doesn't get online anymore and rarely appears on MSN, logged on, and she said "*glomp* I just want to do that, bye :)"...

Definitely a spontaneous half-marathon across a moor. It was incredibly sunny, visibility was great, and it just felt amazing conquering those hills.

Hell, that reminds me of the time when I walked up a mountain and then walked straight back down. I was furious to have failed my driving exam for the second time, so I thought of proving to myself that I don't need a car to get around.
It was an exhausting trip but in the end you had a phenomenal view and the knowledge that you've accomplished all this with just your legs.

"...memories can be distorted. They're just an interpretation, they're not a record..."

The time I got told I was gonna become an uncle was awesome

I can't think of any memory I'd want to relive. If possible, I'd probably rather relive a future memory as I hope that I someday experience something worthwhile.

For I don't do or experience much. A friend of mine commented on that once, "you don't do much do you?", and it is the truth. I wish I did more, and experienced more, but there isn't a lot of things for me to do.

Now that I think about it, I'd relive one/some of the dreams I've had. They are the most memorable experiences. I still remember a dream I had, five years ago, that was one of the most powerful emotional experiences I've ever had, even if the dream itself didn't have a good ending (a dream I had half a year later did finish off the dream though, making it a good ending instead).

Well, I guess I'd relive either the memory of a visit to family members in California, or when we brought our dog home for the first time. A happy memory, obviously...

Unfortunately I don't live near many mountains, but that sounds like a pretty awesome memory to relive. Anything physically exhausting/challenging would be pretty good, as you wouldn't have to overthink it too much, you'd just be experiencing it.

Every time I make love, it's a small death and a small victory, something to be relived endlessly.
