Pretty self-explanatory title: what are the most and least impressive things thus far?

Most impressive for me would have to be the demos for "The Last of Us" and "Tomb Raider." Oh, and Assassin's Creed 3, though the naval battle looked kind of lame. Putting it lightly, all looked hella cool. Far Cry 3's SP demo didn't look too bad, either, though the co-op demo was lacking.

As for least? Well, to say that I'm disappointed by "Splinter Cell: Blacklist" would be putting it pretty lightly. Literally nothing I've loved about any of the previous games- and I've loved all of the previous games- is returning. No personal storyline a la Conviction, no true stealth a la Chaos Theory, no action stealth a la Conviction... so on, so forth. And where the hell is Michael Ironside? Yeah, some bullshit about motion capture, but come one, no one will give a damn about how realistically Sam moves. People will give a damn about Michael Ironside!

Also, Resident Evil 6 and Halo 4 could go either way for me. My real problem? Dead Space 3. I'll give it a shot since I love the Dead Space storyline and characters, but the gameplay and scares have gotten a little... strange. To say the least. I dunno about this. Not to mention the jackassery of Carver's character- terribly voice acted, just unnecessary.

And here is the coup de grace: my real problem: almost every game essentially played itself due to the setpieces. Just look at the demos and see what I mean. Nearly every game had less character interaction and more "oh sweet, look at this." As you may have figured out, I'm a little disappointed thus far. Hopefully Aliens: Colonial Marines can pull me out of my funk.

EDIT:
Hot diggidy damn, almost forgot about Watch Dogs. That makes Most Impressive, though it also conforms to the idea of games playing themselves that I've grown to hate, but I guess it's a growing trend to whatever.

Most impressive for me was definitely Watch Dogs. Looks hella awesome and has some real potential.

Least impressive? Microsoft's conference was really... meh.

Watch Dogs gets my vote for most impressive. It came out of nowhere and really added some energy to the press conferences. Far Cry 3 also looks to be shaping up to be great.

Least impressive? Probably the new Gears thing. I just feel like so soon after the third installation that we would all be better off with a break.

I've got to say, if you would have said that was a trailer for another lost planet game I would have believed you. I'll probably try for the same reason you are, but I hope the whole game doesn't take place on that planet.

Most Impressive: Wii U And Zombie U. Zombie U looks like a ton of fun, and it would actually be nice to play some shooters on a Nintendo Console for once.

Least Impressive: Playstation All-Star Battle Royale. Can anyone say "Ripoff of Smash Bros."? Cause I certainly can.

Most impressive: Definitely Watch Dogs by a fair stretch with Beyond probably the closest after

Least Impressive: Wonderbook, or possibly EA's conference as a whole.

Dishonored has stolen my heart, it's exactly the sort of game I'd been hoping it would be and all the gameplay and interview I've dredged up about the game only encourage my excitement. I genuinely can't wait to get my hands on it, I suspect it'll be one of my favourite games in years.

Least Impressive? Probably Tomb Raider, although entirely for selfish reasons. It just looks like they've done away entirely with that made Tomb Raider good. Hint, it wasn't Lara Croft and her chest and it definitely wasn't the shooting elements. It was the puzzles and environments. The massive labyrinth caverns that acted as huge mysterious mechanisms in need of figuring out! Everything I've seen of the new Tomb Raider however and everything said in interviews has just been Uncharted, Uncharted and more Uncharted.

So while it might be a good game and hell, I might even pick it up and enjoy it. I like Uncharted after all! It's just not Tomb Raider.

Was CoH 2 at E3? I'm really looking forward to that.
Sadly no as far as I've been able to tell, unless everyone has just been ignoring it.

Most impressive: Watch Dogs, Last of us and somewhat Halo 4 (although it worried me slightly, I'm thinking this is just a way to drag on the series, but I hope it's done well and doesn't feel forced)

Least impressive: Tomb Raider...god, I wanted open world survival on an island with traditional TR skills, instead I get Uncharted the female version -_-. Wonderbook was interesting but boring and just about everything none game related at Micro's dull conference was unimpressive. I actually got bored and started playing Ghost Recon multiplayer because of IE talk, arrogant boasting about TV stuff and Usher.

Most impressive: Watch Dogs, for reasons that have been explained 8 billion times already, and the Scriblenauts game for WiiU, because, damnit, Scriblenauts is awesome, and it looks like something that will actually benefit from using the WiiU's controller. It's not enough to make me buy a WiiU (nothing has been enough to sell me on the system yet), but if I were to buy one, I would definitely pick it up.

I'm also really looking forward to Far Cry 3, and Dishonored is still my most anticipated game, but I was already sold on those prior to E3.

Least impressive: Nintendo Land. I mean seriously Nintendo? If you want to sell the WiiU, you could do better than a fucking minigame collection filled with motherfucking Miis. At this point, Miis only serve to piss me the fuck off, and the fact that they seem to be everywhere in the WiiU is really turning me off to the system.

Also, that Harry Potter storybook thing for the PS3. I mean, whats the fucking point? There's barely any game there, leaving it to just be a super fancy (and super expensive) of those pop up storybooks, only much less awsome. Then again, I may be a tad bit biased, because I hate anything to do with Harry Potter merchandising with a passion.

For me I really enjoyed the Last of Us trailer. But I loved Naughty Dog since the Crash days. Many franchises are getting some interesting next chapters.

I was extremely disappointed with Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Dead Space 3. 2 franchises that are going through changes that I am not really fond of.

I also didn't appreciate the focus on all the things that my 360 can do other than play games. I won't be going to the next generation because they are aiming at having a multimedia centre whereas I have wanted a gaming console. I already have a computer and have no need of IE on my console.

Finally, I was quite disappointed in the PS Vita getting Assassin's Creed: Liberation. A really cool take on the franchise with a side story to that of Desmond's and it won't be accessible to the majority of gamers.

Least impressive was probably Tomb Raider. First of all, why is she suddenly not British? And all she did throughout the whole video was go, "Oh God, oh no, ahhhhhh!" That's not the hard-ass I remember from the series. If you want to make an island survival game with a femme-tastic protagonist, make your own IP, I say.

Most impressive was probably Watch Dogs... but even that didn't really get me pumped up.

Most Impressive:
Watch Dogs (holeeeeee shit, where did that come from!?)
Halo 4 (a huge step in the right direction for an old franchise)
Star Wars 1313 (uncharted gears of star wars? yes please)

Least Impressive:
Splinter Cell: Blacklist (while the gameplay looks nice, no Michael Ironside = no me)
Dead Space 3 (a huge step in the wrong direction for an old franchise)

I'm also kind of psyched about Tomb Raider, Last of Us and Forza: Horizon (that one could go either way though).

The most interesting was Watch Dog but I would have to saythe 360 magic glass app could be the most impressive is it works right and is supported well.

Least impressive would have to be either the lineup for the 360 or the Wiiu; probably the latter as it's the new system and the launch games are titles everyone played last year.

Most impressive: Majora's Mask trailer Oh, wait, that was fake... Somewhere between everything ACIII, Revengeance and Square Enix' tech demo.

Least impressive: That... book thing from Sony. Also Microsoft's press conferance. If you don't like GoW or Halo, you had no reason to watch it.

Most impressive: Dishonored, Halo 4, and Beyond: Two Souls.

Least Impressive: Wonderbook, and most of Microsoft's conference.

Most Impressive:
Watch Dogs (Of course. Made me excited about e3 again after I was getting cynical about it all. Any game that can do that gets my vote)
Beyond (Also of course)
Far Cry 3 (Archipelago of islands? Kick Ass)
Assassins Creed 3
Pikmin 3
New Paper Mario+New Luigi's mansion.
ZombiU also impressed me more than it had any right too.
Star Wars 1313, also more than it has any right too.

Least Impressive:
Pretty much everything at Microsoft and EA's press conferences.
That Nintendo park thing.
That WiiFit thing.
Some other stuff too. But, I like to concentrate on the positives, so I will. Watch Dogs and Beyond have pretty much restored a lot of lost hope, and for that, I am great-full.

The Last of Us looks like it could be pretty nifty. I'm sick of cover based shooters, but still, it might be worth a look

The worst was Nintendo's lineup. "For the 3DS, we have New Super Mario and Scribblenauts! For our shiny new WiiU, we have New Super Mario and Scribblenauts! But that's not all! New Wii Fit! Wait, where are you going? Did I mention Arkham City? Arkham City! and Mass Effect! They might be a year old, but motion controls! Guys?"

Eh Hem...(Shameless self plug for my thread that somehow got no attention)

I'm gonna say the best is a toss up between Assassin's Creed 3 and Watchdogs. God damn does Assassin's Creed 3 look good. Like suspiciously good. Like really fucking good. And the Naval gameplay on the boats? Jesus.

I think I'm gonna say watchdogs comes in at a close second, because once the shooting really started, it seemed kinda mediocre and a little scripted.

As for the worst? I'd say the new Splinter Cell game. They really are sticking to their guns and ignoring what fans they had left of the game, and sticking to the mark and execute first with stealth secondary gameplay.

And no Michael Ironsides. So fuck that.
