Hello Escapists,

As the subject of this topic says, this is the MW3 storyline hidden behind those spoilers.
You might be wondering where I acquired this information and it's pretty simple, I brought a recent edition of a xbox magazine. This information is also available from other sources on the internet but i'll be quoting from the magazine. (It appears to be explained in a British way.)

Mission 1 - Dharmasala, India:
Things start with a bang - MW2's closing bang to be precise. The game begins just moments after the last games conclusion with Soap and Price nursing their wounds having finally offed traitor Shepherd. Now the duo is en route to an Indian Safehouse along with Nikolai. The former heroes are in no shape to battle when the team is attacked, so you play through the first mission as Nikolai's henchmen: Yuri. With the safehouse compromised, our warriors are extracted via helicopter in search of a safer location.

Mission 2 - New York, America:
Action shifts across the globe where Russian forces are invading NYC. Russian ships and subs are camped in the Hudson Bay, bombarding the city with missile strikes. Step forward Delta Force operatives Frost and Sandman who must fight to the top of the New York Stock Exchange to destroy a jamming tower to open up counter-offensive options. Job done, the squad then leaps into a Blackhawk chopper. After some air combat the team is dropped onto an enemy sub, to capture it.

Mission 3 - Ilyushin II-96PU, Russian:
The third new playable character is a Russian Federal Protective Services agent tasked with guarding the Russian president as he flies to America along with his family to sign a peace treaty. Makarov's men hijack the president to try and obtain Russia's nuclear launch codes.

Mission 4 - Sierra Leone:
Mission four heads back to Yuri and company who have traded Asia for Africa. In addition to nuclear ambitions main franchise bad guy Makarov is trying to get his evil mitts on some chemical weapons. Yuri meets with local arms dealer for information about the exchange to try and obtain the gear before the terrorists.

Mission 5 - London, England:
Time for another new character. An SAS soldier is fighting the good fight in England; battling terrorists in a London dockyard, clearing out Underground tube stations and then making a stand on Victoria Embankment as unmarked trucks explode around Parliament, scattering deadly toxins in the process. London isn't alone in this tragedy either; the same events take place all over Europe, handing Russia a golden opportunity to steamroll the West with minimal opposition.

Mission 6 - Mogadishu, Somalia:
Back to Africa where our favourite unit realises the arms dealer in Sierra Leone had double-crossed them. Price and the team track him down to Somalia to extract information thatill unmask the major culprits behind the European chemical bombs. Here it's revealed that Makarov's second in command, a beefcake called Volk, is heading up operations in Paris...

Mission 7 - Hamburg, Germany:
With Russians already ploughing through German streets, Hamburg is the next port of call. You play the role of an American tank gunner as he valiantly but unsuccessfully, tries to hold back the regiments of Red tanks through the city and shelling everything in sight.

Mission 8 - Paris, France:
With Price having uncovered the location of Volk, Delta Forces squaddie Frost teams up with French special ops to storm the terrorist base of operations hidden somewhere deep in the city's network of catacombs. In a smart nod to the first Modern Warfare, be prepared to body-swap
up into a circling AC-130 gunship to gun down forces waiting for Frost on the surface.

Mission 9 - Prague, Czech Republic:
The mission is a success, and during Volk's imprisonment Frost discovers Makarov will be attending a meeting in a Prague hotel. Yuri and Soap head to a Russian-occupied Prague to lay an ambush. Unfortunately things go wrong, and the duo has to escape the city sans Makarov.

Mission 10 - Czech Republic Mountain Range:
Prague's a bust but Yuri discovers Makarov's HQ nestled deep in one of the country's many mountain ranges. He storms the castle in search of clues and discovers that Makarov has tracked down the Russian president's daughter - who evaded terrorist capture on the Ilyushin II-96PU - to a secret location in Germany.

Mission 11 - Berlin, Germany:
Knowing that the president's daughter is a high value target for Makarov's group, Frost heads immediately for Berlin to secure the asset. His objective involves finding the girl and escorting her out of the fallen city. Delta Squad doesn't stay Frosty enough, though: terrorists capture the daughter and extract her from Berlin before our hero can stop them.

Mission 12 - Moscow Kremlin, Russia:
Makarov has been busy transporting all the hostages to the Kremlin where he can keep an eye on them. Knowing time is of the essence, Frost leads a task force straight into the bear's den in one final rescue attempt...

Mission 13 - Dubai, United Arab Emirates:
Slippery customer Makarov escapes yet again and retreats to Dubai. (Feel free to play some Yakety Sax here to highlight the preposterousness of it all.) Yuri, Price and Sandman are on location to assault his hotel - and finally bag Modern Warfare's major threat once and for all.

Mission 14 - Washington DC, America:
MW3 signs off with a post-credits level set in the burning American capital. Details on the contents are currently unknown but expect something major. This is the final scene of the trilogy, after all...

So guys I want to know what you think of the storyline, whether you think it'll break the stereotype that Call of Duty doesn't have a decent singleplayer, and what you would of written into the storyline instead of what it appears to have?

Also just to say I haven't proof read this to check for any errors, sorry!
