Easily knowing i'm not the only fan of the concept of MMO gaming, there have been some massive steps in the genre that have proven and shown a list of make or break combination. An example of this is World of Warcraft, going with an already huge fan base, WoW is still the most popular and familiar title in the series of MMO gaming. An example of the latter would be Tabula Rasa, which i never got the chance to try for myself since the servers have been taken offline.

But with all great games, comes great competition, there have been many who have tried to dethrone the colossal giant Blizzard has created but now there is a game which i am sure you have all heard about which may take the title of MMORPG-Kingslayer, That game is Guild Wars 2.

Arenanet is bringing it big with GW2, if you haven't been keeping up with it, i'm posting these few videos from 'Alexrediculous' who has done great work on these and has made me and i hope many others want this game as much as humanly possible.

Now i don't know this guy in anyway, but if you like his videos, give him some support, he has done a hell of a job and i personally think he deserves the attention.

I don't know about pants wetting, but the more I'm hearing about this game, the more I'm becoming interested in it.

Guild Wars 1 was really bad though.

I know, BUT IT WAS FREE, but that was my problem. When I play an MMO and group up with another player, I expect them to at the very least have all five senses. Instead, I was being dropped in groups with seven year olds, morons, assclowns and idiots.

The monthly fee is like... it's like the velvet rope at the club. The VIPs can get past, but the normal plebs can't. I want that rope in my online games.

The Old Republic, on the other hand...

So only smart people pay $15 a month for a game they already purchased and can't keep when the company decides to take the servers down? Those same people are in any MMO when you grab a pick-up team. Pick-up teams suck because obviously you have to deal with the straggler's no one else wants to play with. There is a reason they need a team too.

I think Guild Wars community has better odds of showing maturity randomly surface than any other games I have played. Many Guild Wars players play other games too because they don't feel obligated get their $15 dollars worth. In P2P MMOs I rarely meet anyone who knows much about games outside of that MMO. There are 2 or 3 people in my guild that only play GW all week long but they are nice to have around for the rest of us. They call a lot of us "noobs" often jokingly because there are quite a bit of us that have a hard time keeping up with everything when we average 10-20 hours a week ingame.

I'm looking forward to this. I like the look of the combat but I'm sad I can't play as one of those polar bear men 'cause lets be honest; Nowts better than a 12ft bipedal Polar bear.

Hooray, someone who shares my complete hatred towards GW1!

OT: Yes, Arenanet is showering us with promises and all the gameplay they've shown has indicated they fully plan to follow through with them. What happens during the beta, and eventually the weeks following release though will make or break the game.

I will try it "IF" I have enough money. However, all of my money will be going towards ToR first no questions asked, and GW2 will get the short end of the stick for me.
