First Ezekial and now WolvDragon.

This is dumb. You mods know nobody else is going to make threads, right? WolvDragon has nine threads between the first pages of GD and OT. That's 20% of non-sticky threads. You are just shooting the forum in the foot by permabanning the highest outputers of new topics.

The permaban is killing the forum.

Just being able to create a thread means your exempt from criticism?
No but WolvDragon's ban was odd given what he was banned for and how much others have gotten away with posting over the past few weeks.

The site desperately needs someone to be returned to the position of overseeing the mods and appealing decisions. The attitude of all people being equal within a hierarchy doesn't work for that type of work.

I mean, its pretty clear that WolvDragon was either a self requested ban, decision based on past actions or a carry over from something he said on the lost day.

Anyone selling he was banned over the post which is marked is more interest in pushing an anti-mod agenda than actually knowing what happened.

I think everyone (including the mod team actually, believe it or not) would be happier if they just came to Sanctuary instead of dicking around over here. But I've already said my piece on this many times.

It's all you say these days, to the point that I wager the only reason you're not wearing a spam/advertising ban is because you'd use it to claim censorship and power abuse and all that jazz.

And that makes sanctuary bad because...?

I didnt give an opinion on sanctuary, just pointed out an account with fewer posts that switched to only posting to tell people to go to a different website would have been banned by now.

Because this site is both 1. abandoned and 2. broken as hell. Trust me, if this site was actually doing well, I would never have bothered starting Sanctuary this soon and I wouldn't be bothering you guys about it. It's causing me more stress these days than you think. But that's alright. I ain't complaining. I knew what I was signing up for when I restarted the site. I believed in it then and I still believe in it now. And I'll still believe in it six months from now.

Hey, I did nothing to get either WolvDragon or ChocolatePickles banned. Despite my Wild West reputation as some Mod lickspitle, the only users I've ever reported were the obvious bots I could find multiple copies of across multiple websites. It may seem harsh, but I don't care enough to report real users.

And for the record, I do not think either WD or CP posts against me were worthy of a warning, let alone a ban. And its not a matter of offense, I simply didn't see the COC violation.

The escapist far-left circle-jerk is almost complete.
Since the far-left always eats itself, the bannings won't stop either.
Once any semblance of a centrist of right of center individual is gone, the journey to the extreme will begin.
Woe betide anyone finding themselves the least extreme one, or just accused of being so.

Most of my favorite users have been banned, and if you are one of them still lurking here, I hope to see you coming Into Sanctuary.

Wolv had all the chances he needed to not be snippy with people and yet he decided to keep kicking the hornet's nest, so it's his own fault for getting banned. Being a popular poster doesn't give free reign to be a dick and break site rules. And just because the site is dying/dead that shouldn't make those any more lax than usual. I have half a mind to go out in a shitposting glory of dickitry to liven things up a little and have some fun but I don't think that'll help in the long run

Why do you automatically assume "more topics=good"? If they don't get many replies or get closed early on (as many of WolvDragon's were) then they haven't really contributed to any discussion. Surely you want quality not just quantity. I mean, ideally both, sure, but thats probably not happening

Just another example of why the "X amount of minor warnings equals a permanent ban" is a dumb system, assuming his ban wasn't a self requested one.

He may have gotten snippy at times, but at least he was bothering to make threads and get people engaged in conversations 🤷

I guess that eventually an empty forum is a peaceful one, so all bans might lead to something good in the end.

I don't think we should throw all rules away completely. Definitely not. At the same time though, the CoC is garbage and the warning/ban system is too harsh in that warnings can stack up over the months until you one day get a random ban. Having said that, NewClassic has told me they actually can't change the CoC because of the brilliant way this site was built.

Could a mod actually let us know why WolvDragon was banned? If it's a requested ban, then a mod should just be able to tell us (or edit the post like they normally do). Either way, it's pretty obvious they weren't banned for the post that the forum software is linking us to.

But I suppose we won't be getting a mod response about this. That's what I liked the most about the Wild West; mods actually engaged with us...

Not meaning to shit on Arnoxthe1, but their forum site has been linked and promoted on Gamergate hubs such as KIA.

So if you want to leave this site and leave its GG shadow behind you, going to intosanctuary might leave you sorely disappointed.
