That's right, pies; what type of pie do you like? hate? find best for throwing?

Personally, my favourite is pumpkin pie. I hate it being seasonal and only having it around Thanksgiving. If they can grow apples year-round, they can grow pumpkins; you get the pumpkin stuff out of a can anyway. My least favourite would be pot pie because I like my pie to be a dessert. Or rhubarb.

I'm very hungry now.

While those are clearly the best choices for pies, you've awakened feelings and cravings I've been safe from since Thanksgiving. Where the hell am I going to find pumpkin pie in August? Where? I can't stand pie. I'm crazy picky about textures, and pie filling is just... eyuch! French Silk pie is ok if I'm in the mood, and so is strawberry pie, but everything else just doesn't do it for me.

First off, this topic is the best topic ever, because pie is the best food ever. That said, while I love all pies, including pot pies, I'm going say that raspberry pie and blueberry pie are tied for my number one pie, with chicken pot pie in second and pumpkin with whipped cream on top in third.

Key Lime pies-- but only when they're done right. The center of the pie is supposed to be almost white with a subtle hint of green, not neon green. And the crust must be gram-cracker-- no substitutes.

If you don't know about it, Red Neds is the best pie shop in NSW (Won Gold 15 years running). I have never tasted better pies anywhere else, though.

If you're ever heading Port Stephens way, go near the Nelson Bay Marina and ask a local.
