Seeing how USA is currently electing a new overlord president, I thought it would be fun to gauge the political ideals of the members of the Escapist!

The Political Compass is a test that gives you statements that you have to either disagree or agree on. After it's done, it places you in a two-dimensional chart like this:

Of course you don't have to post your results here if you don't want to!
Anyhow, here's my result:

You can take the test here: http://www.politicalcompass.org/test

Mine looks almost exactly the same as OP's, but I'm almost entirely certain that's just a coincidence!

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you guys. Bronies 3 for 3 on the lefty libertarian scale, it seems. Huzzah?

I guess I'll throw mine up there, why not?

I'm in the same area as pretty much everyone else.

I took this test awhile back and matched up exactly with Alexis Tsipras on the first chart in the OP. Then, as an American voter, I looked to where the candidates were and sighed. I'm still not overly enthused about my vote.

Well, I got the same as a lot of you.

Not sure what it means as I've never had a political stance on anything.

It is a little discouraging isn't it?
It's also sad they're pretty much in the same area with only slight variation, which makes all the arguing seem so much more pointless.

Not sure how to link the image but apparently these are my results:

Economic Left/Right: -6.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.54

Not so surprising really considering my out look on life.

Edit - ty for info Folji

Just right click the chart, "view image" and paste the URL. It's not a per se image URL, but it can still be parsed and shown as an image.

Anyone else got a feeling the majority here will be in the bottom left?

I feel so average looking at all of the posted responces.
My image link wouldn't work! D:

There's too many people in the green field here. And yes, I am aware of hypocrisy.

Okay, it's changed a bit since I last took this test a few months ago. I've moved up and right from where I was previously. Seeing as I had quite an extreme result last time it's probably due to regression towards the mean and increasing discussion of the issues causing increasing Apathy.
For topical comparison, I seem to be on a direct diagonal from the US candidates:

Huh, farther left economically than I thought.

Want something even more depressing? Here's the map of our senators by state:

Really drives home the whole "in America, there's the right, and then the extreme right" point.

Well, here's mine.

I actually would have considered myself more authoritarian than this, but seeing as most of the questions were geared toward Americans and the current issues they're having with gay marriage, abortion and religion in government (Which have been mostly resolved in Canada), I think the results got skewed a little.

Right click on it and click on copy image url. Then put it in the image BBcode tags.

Anyway, here's mine, with it looking pretty similar to most people's

Economic Left/Right: -3.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.00

Also Libertarian, instead of sounding like a political leaning, sounds like it is an ancient race from another planet at war with the Authoritarians. Almost like the Autobots and Decepticons.
