If everyone plays games relatively similar to the reason I play games, i.e. to live out a fantasy. What would gamers be good at, if games gave "real-world" experience?

I'll start:

The best generals.
The best farmers.
Best city planners
Greatest architects.
Most badass rockstars.
Gods

I'd be the most incredibly skilled coach in existance. Although I'd only let my players train against certain opponents.

Plus I'd probably be arrested for selective breeding & eugenics programs. All in the interest of making the ultimate athlete, of course!

Ahem. Most players you will find playing almost any mainstream FPS today SUCK. Besides, IRL they would be fighting each other which would remove any advantage given. In fact, very little would be changed. Sure, productivity may improve but gamers aren't going to gain an advantage over each other as they will ALL improve. The only real difference would be if aliens / monsters / zombies were to invade the earth. They would be defeated in around three and a half seconds.
