[HEADING=1]-The Road To Indigo-[/HEADING]

Hello there, young trainers! My name is Professor Oak, but you can call me the Pokemon Professor! Even though it's longer than my actual name! This world is inhabited far and wide by Pokemon! But coming from all over the place, you probably all knew that! I study Pokemon for a living, and I am proud to share my expertise on the subject with you! Now I know you don't actually need a starter Pokemon, since you all already seem to have one, but still I'm going to explain to you exactly what you are here to do.

You have all come to Kanto for a reason: to take the Pokemon League challenge and become world-class trainers! You all have your own reasons, and honestly, I don't care what they are, but I can tell you it will be a long, dangerous journey. Not only will you have to traverse rough terrain, and swim over the oceans, but evil people, calling themselves Team Rocket will be around as well, attempting to give you a lot of trouble, but you can just overcome them with your spirit! Yes I'm sure of it! Now, go off on your journey everyone! The world of Pokemon is yours to explore!
Author: That's enough rambling from Grandpa there. Forgive him, he's getting up there in years. All right then, this is indeed a Pokemon based RP, to go along with the handful or so already up. This is different though. This is a reboot, based on a Pokemon RP I was in back in the day, when I was just starting out on the site, and was nowhere near as good. It's a much darker tone than the actual series, Pokemon die, people die, despite what 4Kids wanted people to believe. So this won't be a romp through the Safari Zone. I will be GMing, and as Co-GM I am happy to report that I have one of the main forces from initial RP, as well as the full GM for the sequel to said RP, Mookie_Magnus! *applause* Yes. Anyway, he has the same amount of power I do, we will be discussing story arcs and what we want to do with them, respect him as such! This probably leads nicely into the Rules section.

1. If you're sending in a sheet for this RP, I expect you to send it in and then actually follow through on the character, and post regularly. If you disappear for a lengthy amount of time, I will not hesitate to kill your character off. And I will do it in an embarrassing way. I'm talking a Weedle stinging you to death.
2. When you post, I expect certain standards of the English language to be hit. I'm no Grammar Nazi, but textspeak? Not happening. Also, if you could try and post more than two sentences per post, that would be great. I know there are certain situations where one sentence is all you can put, but those are few and far between.
3. This is an RP, not a chance for you to be a God among men. I have an extreme dislike for Godmodders, and if I catch you doing it, I will nerf you so hard little kids will be throwing your head around for fun. Also, if you got an idea for how you would like the story to go, that's great. I would love to hear it. However if you try to turn the RP into an all-about-you ego fest, again, nerfing/booting will occur.
4. Romance? Perfectly fine. Hell I encourage it. Just remember though, that kids are present on the internets, so if you're going to get up to anything that can't be shown on the Disney channel, then either take it to PM or just time skip over it. Everyone will be happy, and I won't have suburban soccer moms calling for my head.
5. Posting rules & symbols: Italics = Thought in the person's head. Bold = Altered Voice. Also, anything OOC that you want to post should be done in spoiler tags = (spoiler)(/spoiler) (only with square brackets.) Please keep posts in the third person as well.
6. Um...no running with scissors? That's probably a good rule.

All right, now that we've dealt with that, let's move onto the character sheet! Now I'm anticipating quite a few sheets, so we will be picking the best ones to be included in this RP. We will be looking for diversity as well as actual RPing ability with these, so try and be creative and stuff. I wish to be entertained.

Name: (Duh.)
Age: (Keep it between 10-21, please)
Gender: (I would like to have an even ratio for this if possible).
Hometown: (Can be anywhere, but everyone's starting in Pallet.)

Appearance: (I want to see actual descriptions here. Pictures tell me nothing about what I want to know.)
Personality: (Tell us what kind of person you are, and I will say right off the bat that weird loners who talk about pointy things and killing things, probably won't be invited into the group.)

Profession: (Trainer? Breeder? Coordinator? You can do whatever you want, as long as it's already a defined role, or you tell me what you want to do.)
Talents: (Any kind of special talent you might have, but be reasonable. For example: Excellent cook = good. 15 year old assault rifle specialist = bad.)
Inventory: (Again, be reasonable here. Again for example: Pokeballs, Potions and a sleeping bag = good. $100000, a car and an nuke = bad.)

Starter Pokemon: (Everyone's getting one Pokemon at Lvl 5 to start. I don't care where it's from, but it's gotta be the first stage of an evolving Pokemon.)

Biography: (Give us a little backstory. What made you the person you are today? Anything interesting happen in your life? Read any good books? You know how it goes.)

Notes/Other: (Anything else you want to mention that's relevant that I forgot to mention before hand.)

I'm looking for around 8 people including myself and Mookie to participate in this RP so spots are limited! I'll close off the sheet submission on Monday, February 6th!

Update: Due to Mookie_Magnus bowing out of the RP, CounterAttack has been promoted to the Co-GM slot.

Name: Jordan Kelly
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Hometown: Fuchsia City

Appearance: Jordan is a tall, tanned Caucasian, standing at 6'3, a fairly average looking young man. He's got shaggy, dirty blond hair and blue eyes, nothing remarkable about his clothes either. He wears a black and ocean blue Fuchsia Sharks baseball hat, a black t-shirt worn underneath a gray hooded zip-up sweatshirt, a pair of blue jeans and a beaten up pair of gray sneakers. He has a pair of ray-ban sunglasses he will wear when conditions are appropriate, and he wears a Sharpedo tooth hanging from some string around his neck because it "looked cool."
Personality: Jordan is what you would call a "beach bum". Laid back, not really caring a lot about anything, just out for a good time. More interested in surfing than training, he doesn't really try to push his Pokemon at all. He's got a good heart and will try to help, if it doesn't take much effort, but in the end, he'd still prefer just relaxing on the sand.

Profession: Trainer
Talents: He is an excellent surfer, he wants to get a Water Pokemon so he can learn how to surf on top of it, but he has yet to find one that is good enough.
Inventory: 5 Pokeballs, 3 Potions, Sleeping Bag, Frying Pan (perfect for Beach BBQs). He's traveling light, partially because it makes easier to travel, partially because he couldn't be bothered to bring anything else.

Starter Pokemon: Scyther, named Vince

Biography: Jordan was born and raised in Fuchsia City, the son of a Safari Zone ranger and a housemaker. His father's job kept him away from the house at all hours of the day and night, he had to be ever vigilant and on the watch for poachers. His mother resented him for staying away from the house so much, and raised Jordan to avoid Pokemon, saying they sucked the life out of people. This point was only further hammered home during his first swim in the ocean. He had gotten away from the beach a little bit and a Tentacool stung him hard. He was quickly pulled to safety, but he had sworn off Pokemon for good.

He remained steadfast in his beliefs, his mother was very happy, his father couldn't tell what had happened. It stayed that way until his parents when on a long overdue workation to the Sevii islands for a couple months and 13 year old Jordan was left to stay with his uncle, who lived on the Fuchsia Beach. His uncle was an avid surfer and Jordan came out with him every day, mostly because it was summer, and everything on TV sucked. His Uncle would go out there almost every day on his Blastoise, surfing the good waves that crashed on the Kanto shores. Jordan was still a bit frightened from his earlier experiences with the ocean, but when his uncle hoisted him aboard that Turtle Pokemon and he felt the spray of the water hitting his face, he knew he found something he could truly enjoy. He started going out with his uncle, but since he didn't have a Pokemon, he just used a surfboard. He was a fast learner and he would keep going out with his uncle every chance he could get after that. He had slight ambitions to get a Pokemon like his uncle, but it didn't really matter now. He was enjoying the thrills he got when surfing. When he wasn't out riding the waves, he was hanging out on the beach with other like-minded teens, but it wasn't going to last.

His parents grew weary of his laissez-faire attitude around the house. It had been two years since he graduated high school and he showed no ambition to do a thing with his life. He would stay out on the beach like he always did. There was a huge fight between his parents one night when Jordan was down at a beach bonfire. His father figured he had the perfect solution and his mother was so opposed to it she started throwing china around. When Jordan finally returned from his little party, his father was sitting there, waiting for him, surrounded by a sea of shattered porcelain. On the kitchen table was an egg. His father told him that since Jordan didn't seem to want to pick his path, his father would pick it for him. He was going to be flown out the next day by his father's Fearow, to Pallet, where he would be registered for the Pokemon League challenge. The egg contained his Pokemon. Jordan would have no say in the matter, and if he ever wanted to return home, he had better get cracking on the League path. It would be a rough ride. Jordan mustered what little protests he could, but it was no use. Jordan was taken to the tiny town in the West part of Kanto and stranded there. No money, no way home, just the clothes on his back, a few meager supplies and the egg his father had given him. Soon after he arrived, the egg hatched, revealing that his dad had at least given him a good start, a Scyther appearing before him. He was disappointed it wasn't a Water Pokemon, but the little guy was showing a fair amount of spirit. Jordan named him Vince and decided if he was going to have to fight his way back home, he better start now, so he could get back out on the waves he loved as quickly as possible.

Notes/Other: His uncle is the famed Surfing Guru of Fuchsia Beach.

Name: Rochelle (Jane) Sanders
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Hometown: Goldenrod City, Johto

Appearance: Rochelle is Caucasian, 5'7" tall, with green eyes and dark red hair that reaches down past her shoulders. She is not the strongest or toughest person that people will meet, but her endurance has been built up by her travels and (fairly) heavy weight that she has had to carry around. She wears practical, lightweight clothing, and normally ties her hair back with a black bandanna.
Personality: Rochelle is normally a bright, cheerful person, spreading cheer wherever she goes. She befriends people and Pokemon easily once she gets to know them, and is not one to hold a grudge. She is a quick thinker, able to react to changing situations effectively.

Rochelle will sometimes value the safety of her friends, and/or their Pokemon, above that of her own in times of crisis.

Profession: Trainer
Talents: Rochelle can sometimes talk her way out of a difficult situation. In addition, due to her experiences when travelling from Johto to Kanto on her own, she can tell the difference between most edible and inedible foods. Rochelle also knows basic field medicine.
Inventory:
- Map of Kanto
- Map of Johto
- 3x Poke Balls, a gift from Rochelle's parents.
- 2x Potions, also a gift.
- Sleeping bag
- High-powered flashlight
- Safety firelighter
- Small first-aid kit with limited supplies
- A week's worth of clothing and other personal items
- $500 in cash, and a debit card linked to a bank account containing $2500.

Rochelle's inventory is carried in a large backpacker's pack.

Starter Pokemon: Kirsten, a female Horsea.

Biography: Rochelle was born and raised in Goldenrod City (Johto region), living with her parents Dayna and Jonathan. She had a good life growing up, her parents being careful to give her a good education in addition to a healthy social life. She learned about Pokemon quickly, who they were, what they could do, and the various types and species of the creatures.

At the age of 18, once her high-school education was complete, Rochelle made the decision to begin a career as a Pokemon Trainer. She left Goldenrod with her parents' blessing and a pack full of clothes and equipment, and the advice to visit Professor Oak in the Kanto region. She spent six months travelling across Johto, bought a ride on the SS Aqua to Vermilion City, and made her way to Pallet Town to begin her journey proper. Rochelle spent most of her time between cities living rough, sleeping under the stars and foraging for food whenever she had the chance.

On the way to the small town, she met a wounded Horsea in a lake near Cerulean City and nursed her back to health, not wanting to see the young Pokemon suffer without her help. The Water-type took the act as a sign of friendship, and began to cry when Rochelle continued on her way; Rochelle quickly turned and came back, trying to console the Pokemon, but the wild Horsea made it obvious that she wanted Rochelle to stay. While Rochelle had never met Pokemon up close as a child, she grew to like the Horsea and accepted her as her first ever Pokemon, naming her Kirsten. The two reached a compromise in the form of a Poke Ball, and Rochelle took Kirsten with her on her journey to Pallet Town.

Notes/Other: None.

Accepted Sheets:

Name: Aeris Crimson

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Hometown: Cinnabar Island.

Appearance: Standing at 5'9", Aeris has almost fire-like red hair that reaches down to her chest level. She's got green eyes and a soft face. She has a few scars on her arms, and one or two on her cheeks, from burns after trying to hug some of the hotter fire Pokemon. She doesn't hide them, however, as she wears a red t-shirt with short sleeves and an orange vest. She also wears red shorts or blue jeans, depending on the weather, and green sneakers. She sometimes wears her hair in a ponytail, but only if it's too hot for her to have it flow freely. She has a red cap which she sometimes wears to block the sun from her view when she needs to, otherwise she just stores it in her red backpack. She doesn't have a big chest, being a B.

Personality: Aeris is a nice girl who is willing to help others, but also likes to pull a few pranks now and then. Just harmless pranks, such as putting a whoopee cushion on a chair for example. It's easy to make her laugh and she loves hugs. She's got a particular fondness for fire Pokemon, and will claim that they look cute. She does think most Pokemon look cute, but she thinks fire Pokemon are the cutest. She's prone to try and hug them, which, as mentioned above, has in some cases caused a few burns and left a few scars on her arms and cheeks.

Profession: Pokemon Trainer.

Type Specialty: Fire and Ghost.

Talents: She knows how to handle fire Pokemon most of the time and is rather good with treating burns, having treated her own many, many times.

Inventory: Which is kept in her backpack, obviously.
-5 Pokeballs
-1 Greatball
-3 Potions
-2 Antidotes
-Kanto World Map
-$700 in cash

Starter Pokemon: A female Charmander named Blaze.

Biography: Aeris grew up on Cinnabar Island from the day she was born. Her first encounter with a Pokemon was with a young Growlithe, which licked her to show her it's kindness. She liked that and it seemed like every fire Pokemon she met liked her. Except for one Magmar she once met, but it didn't attack her. It just didn't seem to want to show any affection towards her. She was glad about it, too, since getting near a Magmar is too hot for any person and most Pokemon. She still liked it and hoped she would get one herself.

Aeris is afraid of water, not just because of her fondness for fire Pokemon, but because she had an incident with a Tentacool when swimming one day around the island. And no, it did not involve tentacles going to inappropriate places. It did, however, involve her getting stung by it and almost drowning until a Seaking carried her back to the island where she was taken care of. That Seaking was the only water Pokemon Aeris wasn't afraid of, and she visited it often.

She's always been a kind girl who liked the company of others. Her parents encouraged her to get off the island and meet other people and Pokemon. They were very supportive of anything she did, though they were a bit concerned about her scars caused by burns, but they saw that she was able to handle the burns with ease. Aeris is also a bit fond of some ghost Pokemon, Haunter in particular. She wishes to capture either a Ghastly or a Haunter one day.

Aeris met her Charmander while exploring Cinnabar Island and found it wandering aimlessly. As with all other fire Pokemon, it was fond of her when it saw her, as she was fond of it. It walked up to her, and with her knowledge of various Pokemon, she was able to tell that it was a female Charmander. It seemed to be a wild Charmander, considering that no trainer was in sight, and so Aeris took the Charmander home. She was worried about whether the Charmander had gotten separated with it's trainer if it belonged to one, so she had posted ads all over the Island asking if someone had lost a Charmander. The Charmander lived with her while she waited for an answer. In the time of a couple of weeks, a few people had come and claimed that the Charmander was their own, but every time someone tried to take it, it just cowered behind Aeris. She knew that it couldn't have belonged to any of those people, since a Pokemon would never cower away from their trainer. The Charmander had now become so fond of Aeris that when she tried to set it free, it just came back to her with a smile. She gladly accepted it as her Pokemon by handing it a Pokeball which it entered, and named her Blaze. She knew it was unoriginal, but it fitted her Charmander, who also liked the name.

She had heard about Professor Oak and how she could become a real trainer by getting a Pokedex from him. She got enough money for tickets to Pallet Town, and to have a bit of cash on herself, and went on a boat towards Pallet Town with her Blaze. Even though she was afraid of the ocean, but there weren't any planes going from Cinnabar Island any time soon.

Notes/Other: Aeris is a bisexual, though she's never really considered starting a relationship, caring for fire Pokemon more than other people, though she still cares about people. She wouldn't turn down someone should they offer her their feelings.

Her neck has a black chocker with gold spikes in the leather; she had a green top with a white shirt underneath. She wears a short white skirt with black spandex shorts under it.
Personality: Fary is warm and understanding to anyone and everyone. She loves Pokemon due to her life being raised around them. She's an intelligent, creative, wise crack and witty person that loves to joke around and have fun but is serious when she needs to be. She's laid back and at times can seem uncaring when really she doesn't let things bother her. She's bold and stubborn to the point of being combative when she feels something is wrong, or is being done wrong. She's also bold when it comes to flirting with guys or girls she likes and shy when it comes to talking about her feelings.

Starter Pokemon: Zorua [http://pokemon.wikia.com/wiki/Zorua]

Biography: Fary was born and raised in Black City with her mother Hanna, a coordinator, and her father Marik, a breeder. Fary spent her life learning how to be a breeder and a coordinator with her mother and father. She loved watching her mother in Coordinator events and helping her father with the Pokemon he was raising; her parents taught everything they could. Because of her father's work she was raised around Pokemon ever since she was born keeping them as pets; her first being an Eevee.

At the age of 5 Eevee evolved into Umbreon because of how much time they spent time outside at night watching the stars. For years Fary and Umbreon spend time around Black City until Fary 11. Umbreon was walking around the city with Fary when it started to cough up blood and couldn't move. Fary ran home trying to get her family and Nurse Joy to help but there was nothing they could do, Umbreon was dead within hours.

She was going to leave to be a trainer at age 12 but that lose of Umbreon had crippled her will to leave, therefor leaving her at home to help her family. She grew close to other Pokemon but still wasn't over losing Umbreon. She was afraid losing another friend to a random illness but still wanted to help her mother and father.

On her 21st birthday her parents gave her a Pokeball, it was a Pokemon her father had raised for her to take and start her quest as a trainer but by then she wanted to be just like her parents, a breeder and a coordinator. Inside the Pokeball was Zorua; before she left Black City to meet Professor Oak she got to know her new Pokefriend finding she reminded her of Umbreon. She's sill hesitant to fully befriend Zorua but she's willing to try, for Umbreon. Now her goal is to train and raise a dark based Pokemon team, including training an Umbreon.

Notes/Other:Fary doesn't like to keep Zorua in the Pokeball at all times; in fact when set up at camp Zorua is out of her Pokeball and running around playing with Fary.
Also Fary is bi and excepting of other people.

Name: Simon Braddock

Gender: Male
Hometown: Slateport City
Appearance:

Basics: Simon is 5'7" tall and weighs 130 lbs. He has blue eyes and light skin. His black hair is tapered through the back and sides and a bit longer on the top (it's supposed to be textured and styled but it tends to just stick out every-which way after Simon speeds down a hill on his bike). He has a set of crisscrossed scars that start on the back of his left hand and extend down his forearm about two and a half inches past his wrist. These are the result of an accident when he was younger.

When he's not wearing his uniform Simon wears dark jeans and a t-shirt. Simon is slightly nearsighted and wears glasses to correct his vision.

Personality: Simon inherited his mother's temperament and is a polite, conscientiousness young man. He tends to fallback on being polite when he is not sure what to say to someone. Starter Pokemon: "Shadow" - Poochyena (male) [Tackle, Howl]

Biography: As his mother tells the story, Simon's father was a handsome and charming deck cadet when she met him one sunny summer afternoon. Simon's mother, Elaine, was an assistant at the Oceanic Museum on her lunch break when she bumped into Jack, quite literally. After apologies from both sides the two talked for a short while, then parted amicably. Two weeks later when Jack's ship returned, he casually entered the Oceanic Museum and requested a lunch date with Elaine. Fast-forward a few years and Simon's parents were married aboard the deck of the S.S. Tidal III. Simon was born a year later. New father Jack was promoted to boatswain when Simon was two months old. Due to his new responsibilities, Jack's time with his family became extremely limited.

Elaine did the best she could raising Simon, as a busy almost-single mother. In addition to her assistant duties at the museum Elaine took a part time job at the local post office. Simon spent a lot of time with his mother at this part time job, and made fast 'friends' with her coworkers.

When Simon he was ten years old he took a job as a newspaper delivery boy for the post office. At fifteen he was hired by an executive member of the Ninjask Courier Company. As a new hire Simon was gifted a collapsible Mach bike and a map. On his next shore leave, Jack threw his son a small party in honor of his new job. During the celebration Simon's mother presented him with a sleeping bag 'just in case' he needed one on the road. Simon's father gave him an S.S. ticket stub, which would allow him to travel to a destination of his choice. His father also gave his son a pocket knife and several sturdy lengths of rope, having previously taught his son the art of tying knots 'as tough as a sailor'. Simon received some Pokeballs and Potions in the mail as a joint gift from his grandparents.

Simon started out doing only morning deliveries. When he proved adept at the low-income job he was bumped up to having regular routes. During one of these routine routes Simon met an elderly couple who specialized in raising Dark-type Pokemon. Simon delivered several large packages of food bi-weekly to the couple (who, of course, lived on top of a very steep hill). Late in the Spring a litter of Poochyena was born. This meant more food had to be sent. One particularly humid afternoon, as Simon was getting on his bike to leave the breeder's house, one of the litter escaped from the pen and proceeded to growl at his bike. The small Pokemon trotted to the front of Simon's bike and sat on its haunches next to the front tire. It took several bribes of food to convince the young Poochyena to return to its litter mates. The elderly couple apologized to Simon and insisted that the pen needed reinforcing.

The next time Simon stopped by, the same Pokemon once again escaped. This time it was scolded instead of bribed and with its tail tucked between its legs the Poochyena returned to its pen. Twice more Simon was delayed by a howling young Poochyen. The Pokemon's litter-mates were given or traded away until the only one left was Simon's follower. Finally the elderly woman asked Simon if he would mind capturing the Poochyena to take with him. The young man cautiously replied that he needed the night to think over the idea. That evening Simon asked his mother if she would like a 'pet' Pokemon because one seemed to like him. His mother replied that she wouldn't be able to care for the Poochyena, but if Simon wanted to train the Pokemon she could help point her son in the right direction.

On his trek back up to the Pokemon breeder's house Simon debated on his options. As a boy he'd been interested in Pokemon training but once he gotten a job his profession had taken over his dream. And at seventeen, he was a bit older than the 'usual' trainers. Simon was still debating when he knocked on the door. Before he could voice his opinion he was greeted by the sound of scrabbling paws and tackled by the young Poochyena. When the elderly couple reached the front door they found a laughing Simon holding a softly glowing Pokeball. "So, you're taking your shadow with you?" The elderly woman asked Simon. The young man looked down at his newly captured Pokemon and replied. "Yes, yes I am."

The next three years Simon spent his free time training and learning about his new Pokemon. At the end of the three years Simon ran out of printed and verbal material to go through. Simon's mother found some old articles about a 'Professor Oak' in Pallet town and suggested that Simon try to find the professor. He could even 'look into challenging the Pokemon League'. When his father voiced his own encouragement, Simon decided to begin his Pokemon journey. But he was not certain what to do about his job.

Simon requested a long-term leave from his boss. Not wanting to lose one of his best workers his boss decided to shift him to a different department. Instead of regular routes, Simon was instructed to, on occasion, call into or stop by one of the offices. If there were any deliveries to be made in the area Simon would then be given the authority to take care of them. It wasn't the steady paycheck he was used to, but it allowed Simon to still earn money while on his new journey. After thanking his boss and saying goodbye to his mother, Simon and Shadow boarded the S.S. Tidus III. Simon used his father's ticket to set sail to Pallet town.

Notes/Other: Simon's Pokemon is more adventurous than he is, often times forcing Simon to deviate from his delivery route because of its curiosity.

Name: Tyler Page
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Hometown: Saffron City, Kanto.

Appearance: Tyler is about 5'8, with blue eyes and short-ish black hair in a part. He also sports a goatee (sans moustache), which is the same color as his hair. His "standard" outfit consists of a plain black t-shirt, dark blue jeans, and black-white-and-grey flannel pattern shoes. Tyler is a somewhat big guy for his height. Not morbidly obese or anything, but don't expect him to take his shirt off at the pool.

Personality: Personality wise, Tyler is a decent enough guy. He isn't excessively mean, dark, or brooding, but isn't a bubbling ball of sunshine either. He tends to be lazy, something that he has been trying to work on since he graduated high school. Tyler is a nerd through and through, and doesn't attempt to hide it at all. Due to his habit of hanging out with like-minded people for most of his life, he is at a disadvantage when communicating with the common folk. Despite that difficulty, he tries to maintain at least polite relationships with others and only gets angry when the particular target deserves it.

Profession: Tyler never held a job, unless you count his brief stint leading a campaign for a tabletop game with some of his friends (Long story short, it didn't turn out well). He is a hopeful Trainer, having caught his first Pokemon, an Abra, at age 16.

Talents: Tyler is not extraordinarily talented person, but he knows basic wilderness survival skills from a Scouting program his parents made him take when he was a child.

Inventory:
Black-and-purple checkered backpack
Pokeball x5
Potion x5
Repel x2
Antidote x2
Escape Rope
Swiss Army Knife
Sleeping Bag
$300 in cash

Starter Pokemon: A male Abra, nicknamed "Geist".

Biography: Tyler Page's life was relatively uneventful as far as origin stories go. His parents work at the Celadon Department Store, and as a result, the family was always well-off. His parents were never Pokemon people, and never got one for a house pet, something that Tyler always complained about. In middle school, all of his friends began receiving their own Pokemon as birthday gifts. When Tyler asked his parents for one, however, they denied him, saying he wasn't responsible enough to handle the task of raising his very own Pokemon. He spent the rest of his middle school and early high school years envious of his friends. However, when Tyler turned 16, his parents told him that they thought he was ready to finally receive his first Pokemon. To his surprise and initial dismay, his parents gave him an empty Ultra Ball and told him to go outside and capture his one on his own.

After a few days, however, Tyler warmed up greatly to the idea of catching his own Pokemon and set out for Route 6 early in the morning. After a disappointing day sifting through endless legions of Oddishes, Pidgeys, and Rattatas, Tyler was about ready to call it quits when he found an Abra sitting cross-legged in the grass. Knowing that this particular Pokemon was rare in this region, he went right for it and hurled his Ultra Ball. Before the device ended anywhere near it, however, the Abra teleported away. Determined to catch the stubborn Pokemon, Tyler followed it around the grassy areas surrounding Saffron City for the next four days. Each time he ran into that damn Abra, it always teleported away. Finally, on the evening of the fourth day, Tyler finally managed to catch the Abra off-guard, in between teleportations. Not hesitating for a moment, he tossed his Ultra Ball and caught the elusive Pokemon. Filled with a sense of triumph and excitement, Tyler ran home as fast as he could, nearly breaking his nose tripping over some rocks on the way back. He decided to name his Abra "Geist", German for "mind". Tyler and Geist quickly bonded and Tyler became the envy of all his friends due to his rare and difficult catch.

When he graduated from high school, Tyler was finally in a position to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming a Pokemon Trainer. His parents, surprisingly, supported his decision and helped him obtain the necessary equipment to set out on his own. Due to their positions in the Celadon Department Store, they were able to buy Tyler's items at a discount. As a final present, they paid for transport to Pallet Town, where the great Pokemon Trainer Ash Ketchum began his journey. There, according to rumor, Professor Oak would give Tyler a Pokedex...

Notes/Other: Geist knows Hidden Power (Taught via TM10) in addition to Teleport.

Name: Eileen Weismann
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Hometown: Cinnabar Island

Appearance: Eileen is a relatively tall girl at 5' 9" with light brown, wavy hair that she always keeps pulled back. Her style of clothing is very simple; usually keeping it to her lab coat (many pockets to carry numerous miscellaneous items and relatively weather-resistant), a long-sleeved blue shirt, and dark grey pants. To complete her nerd look she has a pair of black glasses and a larger-than-normal black, blue and white messenger bag. She is not particularly athletic due to her upbringing, but strives to push herself forward and not be a burden.

Personality: Prideful in her knowledge of Pokemon, Eileen tends to never stop talking about about them (often to the annoyance of others). Her lack of social-upbringing makes her normally very aloof and nervous around others, though if she believes that someone has the wrong information she had no problem telling them how wrong they truly are. Some may call her pride of knowledge arrogance, but she simply doesn't know when to keep her mouth shut. When it comes to her Pokemon she likes to push them as far as she can to make them the best they could be.

Profession: Beginner trainer, future Pokemon Professor
Talents: Her vast knowledge of Pokemon and science doesn't necessarily translate to a knowledge of the outdoors, but she knows her way around difficult problems, chemicals, and computers.

Inventory:
*Map of Kanto
*$400
*Numerous books on Pokemon
*Notebook to write down new data
*4 Poke Balls, 2 Great Balls, 1 Net Ball (all gifts from parent's co-workers)
*Sleeping bag
*2 Potions
*2 Antidotes
*Numerous vitamins for her Pokemon
*Escape Rope
*Various clothing and food for travels

Starter Pokemon: Hughes, her male Growlithe.

Biography: Being born to Scientists who worked at the Pokemon Lab on Cinnabar Island meant that Eileen's life was planned for her. Having to constantly go to her parent's work as a child meant that she quickly excelled in many studies, though her childhood suffered for it. While other children enjoyed the resort on Cinnabar, Eileen spent her time in the lab (learning alongside her parents until she joined the team at the Lab) with her main friend being a young Growlithe (Hughes) her parents had gotten from a older trainer who retired.

Once she hit twenty, however, Eileen decided that she needed a change in life. She knew that she would become a Professor, but felt that experiencing things first hand would give her knowledge she wouldn't be able to get stuck in a lab. She explained to her parents about the importance of going out and seeing the world (both completely silent as she expressed her feelings), and that she was going to go out into the world whether they liked it or not. Of course they expressed concerns before deciding that they would allow her to make her own decisions, giving her the supplies she needed as she headed off onto the beginning of her journey with Hughes.

Notes/Other: Of course her parents didn't let her go without assigning her a task of retrieving a few things from the Museum in Pewter City.

A black belt with a green bag attached to is worn around his waist. A white wrapped bandana is worn across his forehead in order to keep sweat and hair out of his eyes. He?s 5?11? with a slim build and several small fading scars across his arms and back due to falls and other mishaps throughout his childhood.
Personality: Callum?s always been more of a free spirit. He?s never been one to like responsibility and always wanted to be outdoors as much as possible. He loves nature and the world. He has a less than focused attitude that makes him seem slow at times , since he?s not always paying attention to what?s going on in front of him and tends to get lost in the world around him. Being light hearted has always been his way going forward and loves to express how others should be the same way. He?s not one to depend on though, as this care free attitude often leads him to collapse under pressure.

Profession: Research Pokemon Catcher.
Talents: Due to his outdoor experience Callum is good at identifying berries and is knowledgeable about their effects on Pokemon. Callum is also experienced in climbing in both regards to trees and cliff sides.

Inventory:
Backpack
$600 cash
2 pecha, 1 sitrus, 1 chesto berry
A hammock
A 5x5 meter tarp
2 pokeballs and 5 netballs (netballs are the gift from the Devon Corporation)
A compass
A fresh water canteen
A 100 meter length of rope.

Starter Pokemon: Nincada (male)

Biography: Callum grew up in a rather poor family. They never had much money growing up which meant that Callum?s parents couldn?t generally afford toys. With a lack of toys throughout his child hood the only real option for entertainment was outside along Route 115, 116, and 104. The constant time outside caused him to yearn for the world around him while he was trapped inside. This caused some problems in school because instead of paying attention to the teachers, he?d always just look out a window or at a clock waiting to get out of the prison-esque feeling of the building he was inside.

Although being trapped inside started to make him feel miserable it also caused his love of the outside world to flourish further. He began to want to explore further into the world. He wanted to get into every nook and cranny that existed, whether it be at the top of the tallest tree in the forest, up a cliff wall, or inside a pitch black cave. Although this exploring was generally lack luster event wise. Although this lead to some less than favorable events involving wild Pokemon and Callum stepping foot into their territory. Those events ended in long winded chases around the local area before Callum would either have to dive into the water and swim away or the Pokemon would get far enough away from its comfort zone that it would turn around and head back.

After keeping this life style up for many years and gaining a dream to explore the whole world a sad realization came to Callum. It became apparent to him that despite his parents loved him he was current just a drain on their limited finances with no real future in sight. Knowing that he had to change this by either getting a job to contribute or move out and live somewhere else; trying his hand at the latter was the favored option for himself.

The first place he looked was the most obvious, the Devon Corporation. Although his attempts at gaining employment at the corporation, he did terribly during the interviews and outright failed them. Upon trying to leave his last interview he managed to get lost in the building and ended up stumbling into an obscure section of the building. There he ran into a pair of scientists working studying a nincada. After trying to ask one of the scientists for directions out of the building, explaining that he got lost after an interview, it became apparent that the scientist wasn?t paying attention to him when he became surprised at the mention of the interview.

Cutting him completely off, the scientist started talking about how the job posting wasn?t supposed to be up till the next day and about how the stupid project manager couldn?t do anything right before telling him that he could do the interview now. Not sure about what to do Callum just kind of followed him and walked into the interview having no clue what the job would be.

Soon enough Callum learned that they had a job offer was for someone to travel the world and capture all the bug type Pokemon. The scientists? project was to research their DNA in hopes to find what gene in their DNA allowed for such fast evolution in parts of the species and the much slower evolution in other parts of the species. Upon finding evidence of what caused this the scientists wanted to isolate the faster evolving genes and engineer them into other Pokemon for faster evolutions.
The job itself would only provide a small amount of initial pay followed by payments for each bug type Pokemon caught and transferred to them with a large portion of money to be paid out if the scientist did discover something that turned out to be useful and profitable for the Devon Corporation.

With a paying job that had him traveling over the world on the line Callum did his best and ended up convincing the scientist that he was the right person for the job. Despite the project?s limited funding it had limited access to Devon Corporation products, so Callum was given a pair of the compressed air running shoes along with five netballs in order to help out on the journey. Since the scientists also had finished their research on the nincada they gave it to Callum to use as his first Pokemon on the journey. The last thing the scientist told him before he left was that he should head to Kanto and to register with Professor Oak since a registration for trainers was running there soon and it would be easier to travel and perform this task as a trainer.

Notes/Other: Nothing that I can currently think of.

Name: Charles ?Charlie? Delacroix
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Hometown: Goldenrod City

Appearance: Charlie stands at 5?11, a fair skinned type of mixed pedigree (Father being French-Canadian, Mother being African-American), with dark brown eyes and long, puffy brown hair, shagged, and usually wrapped into a crude ponytail with a scrunchie. With a thin build on an average frame, Charlie wears a short sleeved blue V-neck, with faded ?urban camouflage? cargo shorts, worn blue sneakers, and a black C-Gear.

Personality: Charlie likes to consider himself to be a bona fide hardass (as his father likes to say), cold and calculated in his ways. In reality he?s a bit of a happy-go-lucky goofball that tends to take value in his friends, as well as headstrong and proud whenever it?s necessary. He?s also more eager to help then he realizes, and smiles a lot more than he thinks. However, unless initially greeting someone, he usually won?t be one to start up a conversation (usually this is even harder for him if the person in question?s in his age group). It?s a trait he?s working on changing.

Profession: Trainer

Talents: Between a mix of the things his father taught him and the things he?s figured out on his own, Charlie has found himself to be a fairly experienced survivalist, knowing many tricks to living off of the land. He?s yet to have a problem with making his own fires, finding civilization, locating fresh water, making makeshift shelters, and hunting for food. He?s also pretty good at climbing trees.

Inventory:
-5 Pokéballs (3 used; 3 bought)
-3 potions (originally had 5; 2 already used)
-Town Map
-$700 in cash, which he usually keeps in an old leather wallet
-Another outfit for colder climates (a grey knit sweater picked out and bought by his mother and a baggy, holey pair of blue jeans)
-An extra pair of underwear
-A multi-purpose knife/tool
-A sleeping bag
-Assorted toiletries (also packed by his mother, yet he rarely uses)
-Carried in a medium sized duffel bag that doubles as his pillow.

Starter Pokémon:
-A female Cyndaquil, named Quinn. 15
-Along his travels, Charlie managed to catch three other Pokémon:
-A female Nidoran, named Nina 15
-A male Spinarak, named Parker 15
-A male Pidgey, named Talon 15

Biography: A native to Goldenrod City, Charlie spent his whole life growing up there. He spent the entirety of his younger years waiting to be the appropriate age to be a trainer, and as he reached the optimum age of ten, he excitedly packed his things and rushed out the door?only to be promptly stopped by his overprotective mother, Dalia, and his stern, stoic, father, Samuel. Not quite ready to let their son go, they decided that he?d embark on his journey at an older age.
After school, he?d watch in envy as budding trainers entered hopefully into Whitney?s gym, sometimes sneaking inside to catch a battle. If he didn?t do that, he?d go outside the city, visiting the Day Care, admiring the pokémon left by their trainers (slightly happier whenever someone dropped off a Ponyta or a Mareep). While his mother worked as a manager at the Goldenrod Department Store, his father was one of the City?s firefighters. Once he eventually (albeit reluctantly) completed school, his parents finally deemed him worthy (and old enough) to begin his journey as a pokémon trainer.
Upon giving him his duffel bag, multi-tool, C-Gear (he in return subsequently freaking out over how expensive it must?ve been to have this imported from the Unova region), and money as graduation gifts, they told him to work his way towards New Bark Town first, to talk to Professor Elm about his first pokémon. With one last hug from the both of them (and a plea to call often from his mother), Charlie excitedly began his trek, eager to start the long road ahead as a pokémon trainer. The trip was starting to form into a bit of downer, due to his lack of a companion (and all those poor youngsters he had to turn down when they found out he possessed no pokémon). But despite the shortcomings, Charlie safely reached New Bark Town, where he obtained his first Pokémon, Pokédex, and Pokéballs from Professor Elm, re-re-deciding that his adventure starts here. However, Elm stopped him at the door (Charlie snidely remarking on how this happens way too much to him). He told him of one of his colleagues from the Kanto region, and how he was looking for trainers from regions other than his own for survey and how they?d match up against the Kanto League Challenge. Charlie frowned initially, seeing as he was looking more towards a gym battle with Whitney in his hometown, but quickly saw the positives in this rare offer, with new pokémon and a whole different experience. He agreed finally, and with Elm?s Lapras, the two began towards the region.
Bypassing Route 26 (Elm telling the budding trainer how he?d be able to come back here when he was much more experienced), the two successfully arrived in Pallet Town, where Charlie was shown and introduced to Oak. After the two Professors caught up, Oak told the trainer of the Kanto League Challenge, and of how they?d be much different than the gym leaders he?s come to know in Johto. After which, Elm gave him a few last words of encouragement before departing.
Now in this fresh new region, the fresh faced trainee worked (more like wandered) his way through the routes, taking on whoever or whatever dared face him (occasionally exchanging replies with a seldom trainer who?d remark on his ?strange looking? Fire type). He anxiously reached Viridian City, almost bombarding his way into the gym, only to be stopped at the front by a non-trainer, who told him that he needed the first seven badges before he could face Gary. Disgruntled and confused at the way the gyms worked, Charlie instead began to make his way towards the next available place, Pewter City. With his pokémon party already three strong, he fearlessly took on the leader, coming out successful in the end. As he received the gym?s Boulder Badge, he thanked the gym?s squinty-eyed leader before making his way out of the city, words from Brock saying that his destination would be Cerulean City, and its gym leader, Misty. What Brock failed to tell him though, was of how her specialty was Water types. Because of this, he found Quinn to suffer tremendously at this gym. With the handicap of his starter pokémon, along with gaining a bit of a one sided infatuation with the gym leader (it was just something he found attractive about that swimsuit?); he found this gym to bit a bit of a challenge. Despite this, he eventually succeeded in defeating her. With both he and is pokémon exhausted from the battle, Charlie excepted the Cascade Badge, and tried his best to look attractive, but his constant panting and sweating worked against him.
With words from Misty to head towards Vermilion City, Charlie did so, only stopping in Saffron to heal his pokémon and take a breather. In due time, he made it to Vermillion, but not quite ready to take on the city?s gym leader. Instead, he managed a glimpse at the giant cruise liner in the city?s port, the SS Anne. With curiosity piquing his interest in the ship, Charlie managed to snag a ticket for it, hopping on just as it was beginning its voyage. With his four pokémon in tow, he made himself comfortable, and wondered what would happen next for him.

Notes/Other: His father despises Fire-types and Electric-types due to his occupation (as he prefers and works with Water-types), and just doesn?t know what his son sees in them. And despite their outputs on pokémon, neither parents ever owned one.

Name: Sarah Hobbins
Age: 21
Sex: Female
Hometown: Castelia City

Appearance: Sarah stands at 5' 4" and weighs about 105 lbs. She is frail and thin, though not quite to the point of starvation. Her hair is a red-brown that comes down roughly waist length, with various coloured ribbons woven into it; her eyes are an evergreen colour.

Her general wear is a t-shirt and jeans with a sweater left open in the cool weather, her white sneakers show evidence of mostly urban walking, as there are no heavy grass or mud stains on them. She wears a silver light chain around her neck and a matching bracelet on her left wrist. On her left wrist, only really noticed when staring intently at it, there's a pencil thin white scar that travels up towards her elbow. Her ears are pierced, usually having either small studs or hoops in them. She carries a backpack with her basic supplies hung on one shoulder at a time. The backpack is orange and black with a multitude of pockets.

Personality: Distant would be an apt word to describe Sarah. While she always maintains a presence in a conversation she's part of, her voice sounds as if she's constantly thinking about other things during the conversation. She is easily distracted off task, usually seen daydreaming or drawing in dust; this could be seen as either untreated mild Attention Deficit Disorder, or simply just the nature to put aside all other thought for an interesting idea that has just popped into her head.

Despite this all, she remains a friendly person, not above anyone else despite her apparent intelligence. She tends to question the ethics and moralities of those around her as well as the very purposes of their own and Pokemon's existence.

Profession: University Student, currently writing Master's Thesis in Philosophy.
Talents: Sarah was never a particular outdoors type before she began work on her thesis, so her knowledge of various outdoorsy activities is quite limited. She does however have limited knowledge of both human and Pokemon first aid, she's well read and a very good runner, due to her time on the university track team.

Inventory -5 Pokeballs
-3 Super Potions
-$300
- 2 Notebooks
-6 pens
-Dried Foods and snacks
- 2 bottles of tetraglycine hydroperiodide tablets
-sleeping bag

Starting Pokemon: Gothita

Bio: Sarah was born and raised in Castelia City, the only daughter of a Nurse and a Lab assistant. Due to her parents' demanding careers Jessica spent most of her time being watched by others, seeing her parents only on the weekends. While the early years of her life were easily spent away from her parents, as she grew older, she missed the parental figures in her life. When she learned to read, she escaped the world around her in fiction and non-fiction readings; she loved to read about Pokemon, their trainers and the combination's lifestyles, she was entranced by the idea of the Pokemon trainer and wanted to be one from a young age.

Her parents disagreed with the choice, education was the prime idea; in order to find work, one needed to go beyond the Pokemon battles, something that few enough people could make a sustainable career out of, chalking it up to no more than gambling with savings, something she could never do once she had a family of her own. She was enrolled in a private school instead. She worked her fingers to the bone studying, writing and reading up until the age of 16 when she graduated with top honours and an already arranged seat in the University of Castelia. When deciding on a major to pursue, she remembered all the questions about life she had asked as a girl and seeking the answers, enrolled in a philosophy major.

Again she excelled in her classes, driven by the attention given to her by her parents when she called them to announce her current grades. The smiles on their faces, their acceptance of her became her fuel to succeed. The University was known to be one of the best in the world as well and so her professors were very involved in her education, even outside of lectures. Her favourite professor was Dr. Kitano; the Dean of the Arts Department and head Philosophy expert in the University. The two of them would consistently go on trips outside of the Uni, into the park where trainers commonly battled and practiced, in order to further understand the Pokemon-Trainer bond.

Eventually, at the age of 20, she graduated her Bachelors of Philosophy with a minor in psychology. Dr. Kitano presented her with a graduation present and a hint that it would be easier with the gift to finish her Masters Thesis. Upon unwrapping the gift, she saw it was a Pokeball. She unleashed the Pokemon inside; it being a Gothita. She named it Mai; after the Professor's daughter that she had babysat time to time.

Degree in one hand and Pokeball in the other, she went to her parent's house and showed them her accomplishments. While they showered her in praise for her successfulness in the classroom, they were hesitant about her heading out on an adventure to work on her thesis. She informed them that it didn't matter, for she had already booked passage on the S.S Anne to Kanto. She packed a few things, taking a few medical supplies from her mother. At the docks, they saw her off and she boarded the ship and opened her journal and began the introduction to her Master's Thesis on the Trainer-Pokemon bond.

Will o' Wisp

Biography: Conway grew up in the Castelia city. He was the older of two children, his younger brother, Shawn, who didn't inherit the left eye problem that Conway did. Despite this defect Conway grew up a strong, physically fit young man. Conway was never outspoken but got through life quietly. Both his parents were concerned about his behavior so they sent him on a school field trip to the desert where he and his friend Audrey got lost. Much to their surprise they were found by several Yamasks who surrounded them, and grabbed onto their arms and proceeded to drag them towards their group, all of whom were looking frantically for them. It was after they got back to school when Audrey realized that one of the Yamasks had snuck into her backpack. Audrey gave Conway the small Yamask, Conway nicknamed the easily scared spirit pokemon, Cheshire, saying "So you'll remember me." Soon after that, Audrey moved away to Kanto. He was very sad at Audrey's departure but he understood. However his peers assumed he was depressed and went out of their way to do things for him and he was very thankful but he was a little confused about how people thought he couldn't do anything by himself, so he set about proving it to himself and others. After he graduated school he took up weight-lifting, body building, pretty much everything that could improve his situation, in addition to that he participated in several small time contests and one official contest with his Yamask. He won the official contest after a very close match. As he stepped out of the contest hall he decided he'd go to a far off land, so he pooled together all of his money and bought a ticket to Kanto, hoping for a better future and maybe to find his friend.

Notes/Other: Chessi was taught Will o' wisp from TM61.

Name: Rochelle (Jane) Sanders
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Hometown: Goldenrod City, Johto

Appearance: A girl of average height and weight, Rochelle stands at around 5'7" tall. A long mop of brightish red hair reaches down just past her shoulders: she often ties it back using a black bandanna. The aforementioned bandanna has small, silver Gyarados designs in each corner and a large silver outline of a Poke Ball in the center. She has a little bit of a fringe, but it isn't a very long one, only about a quarter of an inch long. Green eyes can be seen as part of Rochelle's normally smiling face.

Rochelle usually wears lightweight, practical clothing: no heavy overcoats or high heels for her, though the latter may be present for a special occasion. Her preferred choice of apparel is a plain coloured T-shirt, lightweight denim capri pants, tennis shoes and socks, and a thin but longsleeved jacket over her shirt. A belt is always threaded through her pants, on which she carries her Poke Balls thanks to a number of clips.

Rochelle is not particularly strong or tough, but her endurance has been built up by her travels and (fairly) heavy weight that she has had to carry around. This weight takes the form of her large, light brown, backpacker's pack, capable of holding a considerable amount.

One is used to hold her Pokemon.

Notes:
- I'm aiming for a high degree of realism in regards to my character, hence the expansive inventory and its pack.

Pokemon: Misdreavus named June

Bio: Nathan was a kid who loved the sight of pokemon. He never had a specific likeing twoards any of them so he always wondered what pokemon were out there. He studied about them during his elementry school days and sometimes got in trouble for it. He saw his first Ghost pokemon, Midreavus when he was 10 in a old abandoned building. He wasn't scared of it. He would let it come near him, and he would stand still so that it would come to him. The Misdreavus would try to spook him, but he wasn't affected. She was glad that she unsuccessful actually and nuzzled him. From that point, Nathan would go and check in the old buildings of Lilycove city and there it would be to greet him.

When he was 11, he was given a choice to obtain his first pokemon from the starter set by Professer Birch. He was excited about getting one, but he really didn't want to take the starter set. Professer Birch asked why, and Nathan told him about Misdreavus. Birch was suprised and asked to see it in person. Nathan took him over to where she would normally appear and there she was floating over a trashcan. He saw Misdreavus and asked if it could come down to the labratory. Nathan took Misdreavus over, and Professer Birch examined it, and said that it was a perfectly healthy pokemon. He turned to Nathan and gave him a pokeball. Misdreavus floated down to Nathan and nudged the pokeball, and it opened and took Misdreavus in. Nathan was happy that Misdreavus chose to be with him. Professer Birch then gave him a pokedex. He asked if he could take notes over the Ghost Pokemon Species as a favor. Nathan told him that he would love to. The Professer told him what he would name her. Nathan said "June."

He was 14 years old when in school, a girl came up to him and asked if she could talk with him in private behind the school. He agreed and after school he went over behind school and saw her right there as she said she would. He greeted her and girl said hello to him as well, and what she asks is if she could be her boyfriend.

He was kind of weirded out, and she also added that she was watching him whenever she could, and even said that she was stalking him. He gasped, but regained his composure. He said that he was suprised that anyone would like him to that point, but he said no to her question. Then, the girl looked down and asked again in a more hollow tone. He said no once again. The girl then pulled out a switch knife and said how she couldn't take her mind off of him, and even said that she would slit her wrists and kill herself if he said no again. Nathan was suprised at her persistance, and wanted to help her. He asked why she really wanted to do this to herself. She held the knife up to her wrist, but then broke down crying, throwing the knife down at his feet. She told him that her parents have been fighting, and they sometimes took out their frustration on her. They also went to the point of bringing other people with them. She even told him that one day when she was hungry and that there was no food in the house. She went to see if her mother would go get something to eat, but she walked in on her mother and her lover in bed. She was scarred from that moment onward. Her mother the next day told her that no man would love her. The girl was scarred, and even leaped onto Nathan and clung to him, crying into him. She said that she couldn't take it anymore. Nathan, stunned at her story, laid his hands on her back and pulled her away and sat her down against the wall of the school.

He sat next to him and looked up at the sky, pondering on what she told him. He then looked down and said that he was sorry for her situation, and how grim it was. However, he smiled at her and said "Even though people say you should respect your elders, they do not truly govern your actions. I'm not saying that you should continue this strain on yourself though. If I was in that situation... I would tell my counsiler of the stuff happening and get help from good people." Holding onto her hand and looking eye level at her and said "You need to get help from people who can give you it better than I can. Possibly even go into a foster home if that could be availble to you. They aren't cappible of being your parents anymore." Looking down, struggling to keep up the strength to convey what he's saying and then back up "My dad left me when I was born, I never knew him. My mother told me he left her for another woman, but she raised me by herself. She was still able to raise me though....and I hope you can forgive me for not being able to help you with your situation." slowly trickling a tear down his cheek. The girl was looking down at herself, and then looked at him. She said that he was the only person that helped her with anything. Nathan smiled, and helf her hand and pulled her up. They both walked to his house and the girl told his mom the exact same things as she said to Nathan. When she was done, her mother smiled and told that she would be staying with us that night.

After the girl fell asleep after having a meal, it was about time for Nathan to sleep as well. He went upstairs into his bedroom and would climb in bed. Misdreavus was inside there and greeted him by nuzzling under his chin. Nathan laughed and petted her head. Later that night, he heard the girl downstairs, possibly she was having a nightmare. He raised himself from the bed, but Misdreavus appeared infront of him and pushed him back down. Nathan said he was gonna see if the girl as alright, but Misdreavus nodded and it looked like she was gonna check on her. She floated down the stairs and sure enough it was the girl making noise in her sleep. She floated around her head and sat on the arm of the sofa on which the girl was sleeping on. Misdreavus saw that the girl was having a nightmare. Misdreavus closed her eyes, and her necklace began to glow. She was beginning to eat the nightmare away from her mind. The girl slowly stopped her midnight sleeptalking and began to sleep soundlessly. Misdreavus then opened her eyes and saw that the girl was now having wonderful dreams. She floated back upstairs to Nathan's room. Nathan asked what she did, and all Misdreavus could do was show him what the nightmare was. She put a loc of her hair on Nathans forehead, and Nathan was then able to see the nightmare. The girl was being beaten by her parents, and the words "No man would love you." Echoed in that dream. Misdreavus pulled away her hair, and Nathan gasped a little bit. Nathan looked up at Misdreavus and said thank you. Misdreavus nuzzled him again and floated onto his pillow and fell asleep. Nathan chuckled and also went to sleep.

Later the next day, her mother called the authories and told her them situation that was happening. The girl was taken into cousity away from her parents, and was able to get help from a psychotherapist. A couple of weeks after that, Nathan was at home and the phone began to rang. He went over and picked it up and found out it was the girl. She sounded much better, and happier. She told him how she was doing and how her parents were super nice to her. He was glad and told her that he was happy for her. She thanked him for what he and her mother did for her. He said he was happy that she was better. Over at school, he saw her again and thought she was a completely different person. The kids at school were in awe and asked if she was ok. She told them all the same thing "I couldn't have made it here without Nathan and his hospitality." He was then on from around the school as the school psychotherapist.

Nathan then lived his life with Misdreavus, but he sticked over at home with his Mom and at school. His mother taught him how to cook and sow, and appeared to have a natural talent for cooking. He experimented with his dishes on June to see what she would like and not like. He also saw how her abilities were changed as she grew with him. In school, he took classes of psychology and sociology as people have recommended him since he's quite the adept listener/observer. He was also focused in his studies of ghost pokemon, and would go into the old and older areas of the city to see what ghost pokemon would be there. One day when he just turned 16, he saw a add that the Pokemon League was behind held in Kanto. June was out of her ball that day and floated around him and cooed at him. Nathan asked if she wanted to go. She nodded and nuzzled him. Nathan got up and his mom already had his bag packed. Nathan thanked his mom as she gave him the ticket to the fairy to Kanto. That day he set out on his true pokemon journey.

I was on the waiting list for Pure Static's RP. I don't know how long that list was but I get the feeling that it wasn't very long. Anyways, here is my sheet. =)

Name: James Moore

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Hometown: Cinnabar Island

Appearance: James is about 5'6. He is about average size with a little more muscle than most people. James hair is shaggy, white, and just covers his ears. Due to a lack of pigment in his eyes, they appear white. Because of this, people often mistake him for being blind. He wears a grey shirt under a thick white jacket, black cargo pants, and black converse.

Personality: James tends to hand around his female friends more often than his guy friends. He enjoys joking with them or teasing them. He likes to be around people even if he isn't participating in the conversation. The only time he enjoys to be alone is when he is playing his trumpet.

Profession: None

Talents: Trumpet player. James enjoys playing jazz music. He finds it soothing and entertaining.

Inventory: 5 pokeballs, 3 potions, 2 antidotes, and one Getzen Trumpet.

Starter Pokemon: Vulpix

Biography: James was born on Cinnabar Island. His parents are Alyson Moore and Blaine Moore. Soon after James turned fifteen, his father died. After spending months searching for a new gym leader, a teenage girl arrived wishing to battle the gym leader but was turned away because there was no one to battle. James met her on her way out of town, and upon hearing the news, he assured her that she would have someone to battle in the next few days. He begged for them to allow him to battle the girl, and they reluctantly let him on one condition. He had to prove his worth in battle.

Using his father's pokemon, he made short work of all of the opponents that were set up for him. They allowed him to battle the girl. The battle went on for hours, and after determining that she was just as skilled as he was, he called the battle off and awarded her the volcano badge.

After the Battle, the girl claimed to be recruiting trainers to make a team that would take on the Elite Four at Indigo Plateau.

He took his own Vulpix and departed for the Oren region.

Here's my sheet because why not
Name: Cal Verner
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Hometown: Pallet Town

Appearance: Cal stands at 5'8", and is of average weight, with only a bit of muscle. His face is relaxed and always has a bit of a distant look to it, as if he's intensely focused on an object that happens to be in another dimension. His eyes are a deep brown, the same color as his short forward-jetting hair.

At all times he can be found wearing a green high-collar felt jacket, over an orange t-shirt. He typically wears a pair of faded blue jeans with them, along with tan hiking boots.

Personality: A bit of a hyperactive character, Cal is obsessed with Pokemon, and has learned nearly everything he can about them, and is willing to share with anyone who will listen. He is extremely self-conscious, however, and tends to become very depressed when insulted.

Has a deep personal desire to be a hero, but is conflicted in that he feels he is too weak to ever be like the heroes he hears about in the stories.

Profession: Trainer

Talents: Walking Pokedex: Can identify and recall the capabilities of over 90% of all Pokemon in the Kanto and Johto regions, and nearly half of the Hoenn region's.
Inventory: 5 Pokeballs, 2 Potions, a sleeping bag, and a cell phone.

Starter Pokemon: Lvl 5 Male Charmander named Blitz. Tends to be carefree and a bit childish.

Biography: Cal Verner grew up in Pallet Town, the sleepy village that was the start for so many Pokemon Trainers. He grew up hearing about the legendary trainers that were born in Pallet Town, and was encouraged to become like them. But he lacked their innate talent for battle, at least in his own mind, so he relied on strategy to match them. He memorized the strategies necessary to defeat any Pokemon in any situation.

However, all this research left him a bit socially starved, so he was sent up to Viridian City to make friends while working for his uncle. While there, a trainer passing through happened to give an egg to Cal's Uncle Dirk. Since he had no need for it, Dirk gave the egg to Cal, who cared for it until it hatched into a baby Charmander.

With a goal and the Pokemon to pursue it with, Cal began training in whatever capacity he could for years for the day when Professor Oak would choose him to begin his Pokemon journey.

Name: Terinth Mal?ik (Maal-eek)
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Hometown: Black City
Appearance: 6?3?, with blond hair that curls at the end, smooth, rounded chin with blue eyes. Likes to wear a black jacket with the Canalave gym badge emblem on the back, green undershirt, black, baggy pants, and white skate shoes.
Profession: Trainer (Any other suggestions?)
Type Specialty: No specific type
Pokemon: Lillipup
Move set:
Leer
Tackle
Odor Sleuth
Bio: Terinth was a sheltered child, with her overbearing parents keeping her locked inside of her room to avoid getting into trouble. The only time she was ever allowed out of her room was to go to school, and the only thing she was allowed in her room was her study books. To keep in shape, she was forced to do constant exercise. She had almost no contact with her parents, the only time in which they communicated being when she was given her meals. On the day before her 16th birthday, she received a letter from Professor Oak, stating *insert Oak?s message here*. As she reported this to her parents, they immediately told her to ?Not even think about it?. As she went up to her room, she popped open the window in the stairway, and dropped 5 feet to the street below. As she walked to the edge of the city, she she saw a small Lillipup, abandoned and cowering in a gutter. As Terinth approached the pokemon, it became apprehensive and aggresive. As Terinth slowly came closer, the Lillipup jumped into her arms, and Terinth went to the coast with it. As she reached the coast, she found a boat heading to Pallet Town, which she got onto and began her journey. Seeing as she was under-prepared, the boat captain took pity on the poor girl, and gave her some of the lost and forgotten items on the ship (All of them are what?s listed in inventory). As she reached Kanto, she thought a good starting point would be Pallet Town.
Personality: Mostly quiet, will rarely speak, mostly only when spoken to. Only speaks a lot when a problem is involved. Generally looks very solemn, and is kind of depressing to be around.
Talents: Book-smart, knows a lot (I couldn?t think of a better way to sum it up) Shy, Drawn-Back (Tends to lay at the edge of a crowd, or be on the outskirts of a town.)
Inventory
Backpack (Ummm?Duh?)
$250
Notebook (For recording pokemon data and taking notes)
Two Pokeballs (One of which is occupied by Lillipup)
Assorted clothing (Random shirts, shorts, and pants. Character always wearing jacket and same shoes)
Sleeping Bag
Note: Due to her sheltered life and no access to other people, Terinth isn't sure what her sexuality is. If ever questioned about it, she will dodge around the question, immediatly leave, or become severly aggressive.
Notes
Hey Neo, if I need to make any revisions, please tell me.
Also, will this work kinda like Pure Static's RP? Like, will there be encounters with abnormally strong enemies?
Fianlly, when will we learn like the levels and how strong our pokemon are?
EDIT: Changed my pokemon to a non-fossil pokemon.

Sheet ahoy!

Name: Alan Richmond

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Hometown: Celedon City
Appearance: He is a fairly athletic build from years of travel and has black hair and brown eyes. Usually wearing blue jeans and a white collared shirt with a pair of comfortable hiking boots, all of these items show obvious signs of use with the color on the pants fading and the bottom of the boots sporting a noticeable layer of encrusted mud. He also wears a tan vest with a note pad, pen, and pencil always at the ready. He also keeps his pokeball his left side of the vest so he can easily reach it with his right hand.

Personality: He tends to be more of a listener than a talker, largely due to his profession, he would rather write out a story than tell it and let others speak rather than speak himself. He likes to ask questions but isn't much of a conservationist at first. Once he becomes more comfortable with a group he begins to open up more and ask many questions of the others, he wants a story, but he wants to make sure it is a good story first.
Profession: Writer / Reporter

Talents: He's good at getting information out of people, a skill that he acquired over many failures in the world of professional journalism and storytelling. He is also good at keeping records and living on a very small budget. One of his best skills being his ability to manage money and haggle well whenever the opportunity arises.

Inventory: Notepad, tape recorder, pen, pencil, eraser, and a portable pencil sharpener in his vest in addition to the pokeball containing Totodile on his left side. In his backpack are a few spare pokeballs (4 in all), 2 potions, 1 antidote, a tent, a sleeping bag, and a few bags of portable rations for him and his pokemon. He also keep three days worth of clothes in his backpack as well as a black book of contacts in his vest. Carries 3000 poke dollars.

Starter Pokemon: Totodile

Biography: His life was mostly spent living in the city until he got his job working as a field reporter. He had always loved to listen to and write stories and getting the job had been the biggest achievement of his life. The Totodile he has with him now was given to him on his first day with the newspaper he worked for. His job was to travel all over the pokemon world and find interesting stories from all walks of life and career sets and record both their adventures and his own. He has been all over the region mostly sticking to the routes and staying away from the city. Every once in a while he would investigate off the trails on a lead to a story, but much of his time has been spent either going from city to city to interview and follow everyone from gym leaders and police officers, to pokemon thieves and gangs. He has a few trusted sources but is largely an unknown in the writing world. He is hoping that his latest assignment to Pallet Town will bear fruit and get his name out there so he might become an actual writer as opposed to a journalist. Publishing entire books of stories rather than a few pages in a newspaper or journal.

Notes/Other: His Totodile does not like being inside its pokeball. The only time it has ever been willing to go inside of its pokeball was in times where the person its master was following took a path that was extremely dangerous. (climbing the side of a mountain with a climber or keeping up with a biker)

Why not, even if I did stop playing at second gen.

Well it's nice to see this up for another go. Sadly I won't be able to join, for a couple reasons that would take to long to type in from the PS3. Anyway I wish this best luck.
