Oh god... did he really just spoil the ending in the first few minutes?

Please tell me he was joking.

(Hasn't played ME3 yet)

I don't think these guys will be getting many review copies or sponsorship, maybe if they just wrote a public statement how wrong all the negative ME3 feedback was...

OP, please put "ending spoilers" somewhere in your post; preferably before the video. I already know the ending, so didn't care, but that is a tremendous dick move.

As for the video, it was okay. I guess it could be funny, if any of this is news to you. I did facepalm at the end, though:"Aparrently you get banned if you play on hacked servers." Christ, if ever the Nic Cage face was appropriate. It's EA, dude. They're not known for leniency and kindness towards customers.

EDIT: Also, what on Earth does this have to do with Ron Paul? I don't follow American politics very closely, but the connection is lost on me.

I don't know what the Ron Paul thing is supposed to mean, but I like the review! Sounds a bit like Red Letter Media (if you cut out the 45 minutes of indepth plot analysis).

oh wait....it's trolling. Carry on.
Ready to have your mind blown? Not everything on the internet is trolling. Some people like to make jokes. Heard of those things? Probably not, they were popular before your time.
Making jokes about certain obviously cut corners about the graphical quality and the shoddiness of some of the voice acting is joking.

Spoiling the ending to a game that many people haven't played, regardless of the general opinion of said ending, at the very beginning of your "review" video without any sort of warning is trolling.

It's an asshole thing to do, plain and simple, and the OP needs to put a spoiler warning.

Anyway, I had to stop watching that. The guy's voice was annoying as hell. Then again, I don't think having a less annoying voice would have made that video less annoying.

This guy did a review on Minecraft and gave it a 2.5. I don't know your opinions with the game, but I think most people would agree that that grade is horrific. Yes, Minecraft has major game mechanic issues (such as pathfinding, not real end game (that's still better then ME3), and balance issues), but a 2.5 implies a failure of a game.

edit-WAtching the video more carefully, I realized he was joking. Just wish his voice was more like plinkett's...

He wasn't. That really is essentially what happens.
I laughed my ass off when I realised what he was saying, The first thing you should know about Mass Effect 3 is... *music cuts out and he adopts a serious tone quickly summarising the entire ending before you can avoid hearing it*

Successful troll is successful, and yes, that was the very definition of trolling.

EDIT: Also I'm really digging the music he uses, very Jazz Jackrabbit 3 in places. Good memories...

It's hard to describe what they do as "joking". There's humor in the reviews, sure, but there's legitimate criticism if you're willing to look beneath the surface.

In the case of their Minecraft review, I recall them saying that it was about as heartless an indie game as one could find. Soulless developer, uses a "retro" style as an excuse, horrible AI, boring combat, etc. Notch even stole other people's mods as an excuse for updating the game.
