Ok I see Gamestop and Amazon are selling The Saboteur for about $20 and I figure that's a bargain only thing is I wanted to see if anyone had some reason about which platform I should play the game on.

For example I bought AC1 on PC but just hated the controls and ever after wished I had bought it for my PS3 and I much preferred playing AC2 on my PS3. But that's really the only game I have that I would've preferred to play on PS3. I got a decent PC rig 8800gt, 3.0gh dual core 4 gb ram, Vista...so any reasons I should choose one over the other?

Good game, but one I feel is likely best on PS3. Controllers feel...right with that game. Then again, I'm a 98% console gamer.

I just upgraded from my 8800 gt to a SLI gtx 260...

Go here [canyourunit.com] and check your computer for a recent game. If it can run say... Just Cause 2, Crysis, or bioshock 2 then it's safe to assume you can run Saboteur.

I think it's fair to warn you though that Saboteur was not highly received by critics. So perhaps just hold off entirely.

I'm not too worried about running it at say medium settings. Mostly posted the specs to show I wasn't trying to run it with an integrated card or some such foolishness. Or if the game for some reason hates 8800gt's ya never know with PC games.

I know it's gotten medicore reviews and based on the ones I have read I may either like the game or it may just be meh. I don't think I'll hate it. And since videogame rentals here are $10 for 5 days, plus a dollar a day after that I figure even if I do hate it I'll only be out $10.

Reviews mean shit, When will people learn this?

The Saboteur is an excellent open world game, it features great driving and shooting mechanics. Puts an emphasis on verticality and the missions for the main story are intense, not to mention the 1300 Nazi installations you can blow up.
very true on this mans wise words.

btw, is your icon gerard butlers head on a gears of war body? or am i just dreaming

It is indeed. Many people seem to think I have it as my display picture because I love Gears Of War...I don't even own a Gears Of War game.
haha so is it safe to assume your a massive gerard butler fan as i am?

i sold both of my copies of gears of war 1 & 2, but found that the co op is the best shooter co op i have had in years (doesn't say too much) so found a used gears2 copy and i have the game again whenever the roommate wants to play some co op, pretty fun for replayability on that part

Reviews give you an idea what to expect. That is what I use reviews for. I just throw out the review status for others, not I.

Example, Just Cause 2's reviews weren't that good but off of the reviews I was able to determine what kind of game it was and decided it looked fun. Does everyone do this? God no. should everyone do this? Definitely. *raises condescending finger (The index!)* don't be grouping me in with the sots you mentioned! :O
