I want a good shooter that has the partner or extra character alongside the protagonist to offer the idea then to add humor for us gamers, have the protagonist say screw that to the partner or shoot the extra character in the head.

My bad, anyway the sewer levels in games suck, i think that a game should have a "close to getting into a sewer level" scene, but then the guy is like, screw that and continues with the person who offers the idea of going into the sewers, or shoots him in the head then goes on

i always wondered why heroes of the world insisted on trawling through dank 'orrible cellars during games, its rather antisocial IMO

whoops, sorry, I reported this thread by accident, I was trying to get back to the forum after seeing "(no text)".

But since i've reported I now feel obliged to post something, so yeah sewer levels in games, well normally they are pretty pants.... in a chance for the devs to make a filler gap in their game without having to work to hard on it, and if any enemies in the sewer shows up normally they only use baseline AI to counter your actions, due to the tight nature of a sewer.

edit; If I was the protagonist of well anything, the last place i would go is the sewers, take a look at Naked Snake in MGS3, after the torture he goes through a sewer, I mean with all those open wounds you'd think he'd get a nasty infection!

What's so bad about sewer levels exactly?

I get more annoyed with water levels in games. Is it just me or do they always seem to be the most annoying part in any game. The controls generally change into some unintuitive jumbled mess and then it seems more like a chore than gameplay....

..Christ I'm boring myself..

Please use the Edit Button.

Sewer levels generally come after wide open levels as a contrast and to force you to play differently, plus it's an excuse to have all kinds of beasties come after you.

When was the last sewer scene in a movie. I think developers need to let go of the cliches and get to the business of making new ones for gamers to complain about.

This... god I hate water levels. The swimming in Fable and GTA is soooooooooo boring...

And Ice levels. Yuk.

And Gears of War tank levels...

One Map will make everyone love sewer levels.

Sewer Speedway, the best track by far in Crash Team Racing.

Sewer levels = numerous infuriating hours as you try to get from point A to B via C meeting the whole population hell bent on killing you. Why do so many things live in the sewer! Talk about overcrowding ><
