"Such a lovely name for an equally lovely girl. That is not a problem for me. I'm assuming all endearings, if that is the word I'm looking for, are basically out of the question then?" he asked her intently, giving her some space, "And you can call me Leland, no more of that alias nonsense. I think we're all beyond that."

He turned to Richard, "Well I guess I can understand the apprehension. Believe me I mean no harm as of now; I'd like to keep this as pleasant as possible believe me. Well, I myself only took a quick peek at the design. I have to say I think they are fascinating, I would have liked to have seen them some more. Now, Requiem here is the one who really looked at it. Let's see what he has to say."

Requiem started to use a mix of hand gestures and beeping sounds to tell Leland his opinions. Leland nodded and spoke while Requiem 'talked', "He says that they were quite amazing. Some of the robotics were actually quite similar to his own. He thinks that they will be extremely useful with simple tinkerings."

"Good to know their intent works. Though I can't say I'm particularly happy with which army has them, no offense. I just imagined them being used to help US troops, not harm them." Richard said.

Katie's expression hardened at the compliment. Leland had no right to say such a thing to her. If that flowerbed behind you wasn't made of plastic, I would have a lash around your neck right now, Broadway, she thought, hoping none of his associates was a telepath.

Just then Tommy, in his costume, burst through the ceiling. He stood on the table for a triumphant moment before unraveling the net and preparing to cast it on Leland. The whole time he was silent but in his head he had a monologue.

Have no fear Golem is here!
Quake in your boots villian you shall soon feel the fury of judicial system!
Any last words before I ensare you in this anti-magic net?

"None of them are telepaths, only I am. Sorry to intrude, can't help it for the most part," he replied nonchalantly to her, "And even if that flowerbed was real I honestly believe it would not help you in any case. Sorry again. I do like that last around the neck part though."

Leland burst out laughing when he saw Tommy jump on the table. It took him a few moments to regain his composure, making sure to have Requiem drop the luger pointed at Tommy.

"Now, now Requiem. We're all fine. Besides what is he going to that fish that is now in his hands?" Leland asked mockingly, the net changing into a large bass at that moment.

Tommy looked at the bass he was now holding. He looked at Leland. He looked back at the bass. He slapped Leland across the face with the bass.

"Will you sit down Tommy? It is quite obvious he is more powerful than us. Let us just sit down and at least try to act like civilized adults." Richard groused.

Leland just laughed from the floor, rolling around and crying from just how funny this all was. "Was not expecting the slap, I will admit. Dear god that was funny. Wow," he said as he wiped the tears from his eyes and sitting back down on his chair. "Phew. Damn that was funny."

I lulzed.

Katie flinched at Tommy's sudden appearance, but quickly recovered. "Stop digging around in my mind right now, or I'll get a song stuck in my head," she threatened Leland with a small smirk on her face. "And once it's in your mind you'll regret taking a peek at my thoughts."

"Alright, alright. Sorry I'll do my best to focus on everyone else's minds. It's not as fun though, men's minds are so much simpler than a woman's," Leland replied back, taking a few deep breathes, "I just hope that it's a good song. Though I'm assuming you want to torture me with it, so it'd be pretty bad. You look nice with that little smirk too."

"Honestly you all should be happy that I'm in such a good mood. Damn," he added, hitting the table multiple with a cheery giddiness.

Tommy was beginning to feel very silly, he coughed, then climbed down off the table, taking a seat next to Richard. He lay the bass down on the table, and then proceded to avert his eyes upwards like nothing had happened.

"It would have been from a musical," Katie answered. She was thinking of Mamma Mia's Thank You For the Music. It was catchy enough to get stuck in Leland's head easily.

"Now, why do you not know what the plans are for? Shouldn't that trouble you all if this isn't at least some kind of group benefit?"

"It's quite alright Rich. I doubt much will bother me today after what just happened," Leland replied. He looked Tommy for a few seconds before saying, "Always fun to see someone who actually is taller than me. You're a bit bulky for my tastes though, and your face isn't that attractive."

Requiem facepalmed at Leland's honesty, making a few beeps that showed he was sorry about him.
"Relax Requiem. Anyways...Tommy, I'm assuming you're the one that gave Richard the amulet. If so, along with that net, I'm assuming you actually know a little bit about magic and the like," he said, taking another sip from his drink and putting it down next to the bass.

"A musical? Why I absolutely love musicals. I've been to quite a few myself, never got to participate in one though professionally or even in school. Never went to school you see. But I digress, in the end Katie you can put any song you want in my head," he said seductively, a smirk now on his face.

"Well the way the Union work is that you can ask the higher ups for things every once in awhile. So someone asked for the data, and I was sent to get them. In the end it'll benefit the Union, I'm just not sure who would get the data...not something I'm usually given. And hell I don't know why the person wants it. Maybe to spite you? Maybe to create a death army? Maybe just so that he can say he has it, who knows?" Leland replied back to Richard.

"Now that scares me even more than when it was first stolen. If every piece can operate without any knowledge of the other, well, no honor among thieves and all that. My money is on the death army, those suits are something that can conquer nations. You may want to start watching inside your ranks to be honest. I'm sure you have some very power hungry people in your midst, and any of them with these will be very tempted to use them to gain such power." Richard replied.

Katie flinched again, this time at the intent behind Leland's words. "I'm definitely not interested, Leland," she said coldly, careful to block her thoughts now, and making no mention, verbally or mentally, of the fact that she was in a relationship with Jason, who was seated beside her.

Tommy panicked and felt his face, his mask was on... That just made him wonder, Can he really see my face? Or is he just trying to freak me out? That reaction left out creeped out Tommy was feeling.

He then looked over at Richard. What your giving them advice? Whose side are you on??

"Calm yourself Richard. While I may not know what people are doing within their own time we certainly do keep track. I'm just sent on missions, I don't know everything. It's the higher-ups that do," he replied.

"Really? That is positively a shame then. Well don't expect me to quit any time soon, because maybe in time you'll want to be mine," he replied with sincerity.

"And why don't you calm down too Tommy. Of course I know what you look like, you have thoughts on your own appearance obviously," Leland said to Tommy after watching him feel the mask, "Honestly that isn't what I'm interested in though. Your knowledge is."

"That doesn't calm me very much. I know what kind of destruction those suits can bring, even more than Requiem. That is what scares me, groups always think they have it under control. The US thought it had the security of my documents under control, the society and myself thought we had the security of my home under control, and now you think you have the purpose of my creation under control. If there is one thing about myself and my life I've learned these last few days it's this. When it comes to me, there is always something you don't control and can't see coming until it is right in front of you." Richard said more to himself than anyone else.
