Intro: A while back I played the Stanley Parable. It was an example of an awesome story that was O.K. in game form. I decided to try to look at this from the POV of a hardcore gamer who isn't in it for the story. With that said, all opinions about this do not derive from the story.
Aesthetics: OKAY, THE GRAPHICS IN THIS GAME ARE FANTASTIC. For a source game, it sets the bar high in terms of indie standards. The detail is great and I barely noticed any pixelation. Although with such a realistic albeit surreal game I was disappointed that there wasn't any view where you could look down at Stanley's chest.
Gameplay: The gameplay is very smooth with funny dialogue and different creative endings. The compliments end there. There is little to know candy for completionists such as I, and it's a pretty easy game from start to finish. Everything is told by the narrator, which makes a good portion that could be spent solving puzzles obsolete.
Overall I give this game a 7/10.
