The steam summer sale.

The steam summer sale is going to be upon us before we know it and we will soon realize after a couple of weeks you bought too many games and you don't have enough to pay for food,water,rent etc.
On a lighter side what games are you hoping to pick up during the summer sale I am hoping to get some of the 4 player co-op games so I can play with my friends e.g. Left for dead 2, payday etc

I want to get Dragonborn for Skyrim, Dust an Elysian Tale, Shogun 2 Complete, and maybe Mark of the Ninja(I know it was just on sale, whatever), oh and some of the Crusader Kings 2 dlcs.

edit: Oh and I was really hoping you had an actual date for the thing. How dare you disappoint me.

Eh... there's nothing I want. Here's hoping that the Mann Co store in TF2 goes on sale too. Maybe the new Payday, but I don't have many friends to play it with.

Oh, I don't have Saints Row 2 on Steam, probably that and only that.

I'm not even sure what I'd even get, i haven't played anything on the PC other than MMOs in ages, plus i still have untouched games from steam's past sales....and humble bundle stuff... :/

I'm looking forward to Far Cry 3 being on sale (hopefully). Then again, I'm looking forward even more to getting a bunch of games I didn't even know I wanted until I found out they're 75% off.

I just hope it happens after the end of the month. I just got a credit card, and it's exclusively being used to build credit score. Steam was going to be my reoccurring purchases, but I've mostly run out of games to buy from it, and my current balance is too high for optimal score building. If I'm allowed to hold off until July, I'll at least solve one of those problems.

Good choices. I'm currently playing Dust, and it's REALLY fun. And Mark of the Ninja? Best stealth game I've played in many many years. You'll have a good time with both of 'em.

I probably won't pick up anything this time actually. I have bought basically all the older games I could ever want. The only games on my list now are brand-new/unreleased ones that probably won't go on sale unfortunately. Stuff like Total War: Rome 2, Company of Heroes 2 and the new DLC for Sins of a Solar Empire and Civilization V.

Kinda hope for a huge fallout discount so I can pick them all up for the pc in one fall shoop. (I have NV and fallout 3 on xbox but I want to mod and be able to take it places with my laptop)

Civ 5 Gods and Kings, Skyrim Legendary edition, Far Cry 3 and probably a few others that I didn't realise I wanted until they become stupidly cheap.
Though, I have a high bet that I will be buying alot of gifts for friends on this summer sale, due to the fact that I want to co-op with people.

I'm planning on getting the incredible adventures of Van Helsing.

I have WAY to many games already....but I want to try that one anyway.

Pretty much only other thing I want is maybe a PC version of Borderlands 2. I have it on my ps3...but I prefer the mouse/keyboard setup for FPS type games. Sadthing Is I have all the DLC on my ps3 already...and I'm not gonna rebuy all that (doubt it'll be on sale anymore then it already is).....but even just having the main game on my pc will be nice.

Other then that I have a few other games I might pick up...like Unepic...if they go on sale enough.

Dust is AMAZING. I freaking LOVED that game.

As for what I'm looking to get, it would be Skyrim: Dragonborn, the new Tomb Raider, Fallen Enchantress, Brutal Legend, Torchlight 2, and Far Cry 3.

Far Cry 3. Its too good to not buy.
I was expecting more Far Cry 2 when I started FC3 which would not have been too bad but still not worth the asking price. After trying it out I have decided I would buy it. Just not the US$35 they are currently asking for.

Yeah, I know. But it was only like 30% or 40% off, and at the time I still had a TON of games to play so I didn't bother getting it. I figured I could just pick it up during the summer sale, possibly for even cheaper.

How many of the above I buy really depends on the amount they are discounted.
