Im a HUGE fan of the original movie...

this...I dont know....it actually bothers me less that if he did the "shia lebouf thing" and put some dumbass in the spotlight...

Im hoping it will be better than the animated one..though with the animated one I didnt like it because it lacked the "gritty realism" the orginal had..

Eh, I never really got into TMNT like some other people, although I do love their catchy-as-hell them song. So I don't really care what he does with them, because it's pretty much a foregone conclusion how the fans will take it (Bad. They will hate it no matter what). And I'm not going to be one of those idiots who never cared for the Turtles but still acts like he's destroying my childhood JUST for the sake of hating on Michael Bay.

TMNT really wasn't a prominent part of my childhood, I grew up with the 2001 redux (Which wasn't really that bad, especially how dark it got at times with shredder) so I don't really mind personally. Though this is really shitty of them to do, fucking over something in the damn title. I'm just glad that Bionicles is over and nobody will be GRIM/DARK rebooting my childhood anytime soon.

Someone on another internet forum pointed this out: They're aliens and yet they would know ninjitsu, an Earth based martial arts form. Why the fuck does everything that Bay writes have to be so complicated? Why not just keep them mutant turtles, not alien turtles? I've never been a fan of the show but I know that many others love it, so why take a risk like this and ruin the collective childhood's of many, many people?

EDIT: I just realized that he already did this: It was called the Transformers series (specifically Revenge of the Fallen).

It's still going to make bank. I personally find Bay to be a notch above Joel Schumacher in the pantheon of directors I would like to see brought up on charges of crimes against humanity, but he's following the same formula that politicians have been following for years: Appeal to the lowest common denominator.

This movie is not for us. It's for the ignorant masses who don't give two damns about nostalgia or continuity and think high art is getting drunk and watching people get hit in the nuts on Youtube. These are the people who continue to line Michael Bay's pockets and are the reason that unholy abortions like this get made.

You want to hurt Michael Bay? Don't see the movie and convince everyone you meet not to see it either and spread the word.

But we're all going to see it at some point, aren't we?
