Not entirely inaccurate, but simplified explanation imo. Perhaps nudity was more acceptable back then, but i'm pretty sure they didn't just casually wander around stark naked either. Besides, there's a lot of cock in Christian/Christian influenced art too. Michaelangelo's David, for example.

And there are still modern day equivalents to the public bath houses. Saunas in Finland for example, where a bunch of dudes/ladies get naked and chill out in a hot room together and whack each other with branches and stuff, and go for a casual swim or shower or something.

The same way that drugs are illegal, drinking before legal age is illegal and a host of other laws. Someone decided somewhere that we needed cut-off points for what is and is not acceptable.

You can break into a philosophical discussion about it, but it boils down to societal borders regarding my above point.

Personally, I like clothes. More importantly, I like buying clothes and looking good wearing them. If you want to walk around flopping your pancake nipples and cellulite ass, there's camps and beaches to do that if you have a need to be public with your nudity.
