I've done a lot of thinking, and the only thing I can conceive as being a counter against a robot/machine uprising would be large-scale cloning of physically perfect human beings. I know the moral implications are terrible and wrong, but in a war to save our species and billions of lives would probably be to mass produce soldiers, engineers, and human weapons in order to fight the robot menace. Genetic engineering to make these clones close to superhuman would also possibly come into play, but as Yatzee has said before, super soldiers ultimately also lead to disaster. So for now let's stick with regular human clones in top physical condition, with growth accelerated until they hit their prime and then decelerated.
This leads to disposing of the clones after the war is won. Some will be allowed to stay in the armed forces, even becoming generals. The rest will either have to be destroyed via a fatal gene sequence or allowed to populate seperate worlds in order to save the normal human gene pool. I know it's monstrous to think of such a thing, but it must be done. Plus clone babies would probably all kinds of fucked up.
What do you all think? Anything to add to this strategy or problems with it? What do you think the ultimate weapon would be?
