Alright Gang, just a chance to give the names of games you think didn't get the attention they deserved.(feel free to justify your answer).

I'm hoping to find something new to play in the coming holidays, hopefully you can help.

**EDIT** preferably games available on Xbox 360, PS3, NDS, Wii, or PC Because of ^^^

Ghost Trick, a really neat stylish DS game that I picked up for cheap from the same people that made Phoenix Wright I hear.

I can sort-of see what you mean by "under appreciated", it didn't sell that well. However, with everyone banging on about it, I am so sick of hearing the name of that game in every thread. Sorry /rant.

OT: I would say Custom Robo for the gamecube. I've never seen anyone mention it, but it was an amazing JRPG,

Damn you and your ninjary ninjarness.

Okami is a damn good game, and can proudly stand with The Legend of Zelda as an ambassador of its genre.

The game oozes character and atmosphere.

Also, Amaterasu is the best Marvel vs Capcom character of all time.

Aww... Someone said Ghost Trick before I got the chance to. I second this and add Radiant Historia for DS.

For all its flaws, I still love Neverwinter Nights 2. Iv been playing that a lot lately. With the PrC pack, you can take just about every feat or PrC Iv ever heard of. The easiest way to get the pack is just to get on the multiplayer and jump into the PW "Legends of Arcadia."

If anyone is having trouble getting multiplayer to work, namely if it's telling you your CD Key is invalid, just quote me and say so, and I will give you step by step instructions. It took me a while to find the solution when I was having that problem.

I have to say alpja protocol and alan wake .

Alan wake was beautifully written , not many people ( as far as i know ) played it , but the story in that game is terrific. Even though the gameplay is kind of meh .

Alpha protocol is the opposite , the gameplay is really fun , even though the story is kinda meh . But a great game where your actions actually mean something .

(checks to see if I'm done with my Geneforge obsession)

(am not)

The Geneforge series is criminally underplayed. It's an isometric fantasy RPG with a sci-fi twist later in the series. You conjure things that fight for you out of your own flesh and wrestle a couple nasty moral quandaries that the game won't answer for you.

Also, the demos are enormous.

This Just...this. I have never played a more criminally underappreciated game (Terranigma). Anyone who has any interest at all in RPG's with great stories should give it a whirl.

I think Skyrim might need some love.
It hasn't been mentioned in 3 seconds, and I fear it might sink into obscurity.

In all seriousness, still a big Terraria fan, but it is quiet on the forums about it.

Because you can still play GC games on the Wii, I'll throw in Custom Robo (and to a lesser extent Custom Robo Arena for the DS).

Now of course, in Japan (not quite sure on the EU market) they released all the Custom Robo games and its made itsself a little series. Here the NA market, there's only two. Custom Robo Arena is... alright, though it wont exactly wow you like Custom Robo will. Its just a fun robo building fighter game that I think went very underappreciated because it was on the GC exclusively and because it didnt grab the attention as a console defining game.

EDIT:

well, my suggestion was already suggested (I dont like using the term here for it), but I'll keep it there so that the person that beat me can see at least two other people (at time of type) enjoy the game and know about it.

I'll add Izuna, legend of the unemployed ninja. Its got a sequel too (thought I havent played it). Sure, its not the deepest or best game, but for a JRPG its a pretty good portable game of its genre, and has some humor about itself thats pleasant to see.

Agreed, loved that game to death. Forgot how I even wound up playing it in the first place but I do know that I would kill for a sequel that is NOT on the DS.

OT: Aside from Custom Robo I think Phantom crash was an excellent, if odd, mecha game that is rarely mentioned. Oh also Ikaruga, never has so much fun with a top down spaceship shooter in my life.

Sins is an amazing RTS. Steam has a deal on it now if you're interested. 15 bucks or something for Trinity.

Good stuff.

Freedom Wings on the DS. Oh the dialogue was sometimes inconsistent and the fights hard, it was a good game for road trips.

I also find Blitzkrieg 2 a great RTS game that I don't see mentioned around these parts.
