[HEADING=1]The Vampire Earth[/HEADING]

Possessed of an unnatural hunger, the bloodthirsty Reapers have come to Earth to establish a New Order built on the harvesting of human souls. They rule the planet. And if it is night, as sure as darkness, they will come.

In the year 2022 CE, a seemingly immortal extraterrestrial race called "Kurians" has wrested control of the Earth from its inhabitants. The Kurians derive their endless lifespans from draining the "vital aura" of other life forms. To facilitate this addiction to life energy, the Kurians employ avatars known as "Reapers".

Following the Kurian takeover, many humans made the decision to serve the new overlords. These traitors, known as Quislings, are set up as members of the police and supervisory government for the Kurian Order. Nearly every other human who is not a Quisling is known as a Territorial, and is either a slave scratching out a living in various trades, or fighting with rebel organizations such as the Southern Command.

After a time, the Kurian Order reduced Earth to a technological and social Dark Age, with only the few remaining pre-2022 machines and transportation networks surviving, with most of these under Kurian control. As an incentive to good and loyal service to the Kurian Lords, Quislings are awarded bonds of various lengths of years (3, 5, 10), which protect the wearers from the Reapers. Even more sought after is the "Brass Ring". A Brass Ring ensures that one never has to fear being randomly taken by the Reapers at night, although it can be revoked and cannot be passed to one's children.

Pockets of resistance do exist, however. The main rebel group fighting the Order is known as Southern Command. A formal military (though classified by the Order as terrorists) is charged with the defense of the Ozark Free Territory.

In 2022, an alien race known as the Kurians triggered a series of natural disasters (as well as artificial ones) that enabled them to gain control of the planet and subjugate humanity. A plague has reduced the world population to 25% of its pre-cataclysm level; nuclear explosions have created a mild form of nuclear winter, cooling the earth, and smaller events everywhere have added to the chaos. In America, the New Madrid fault let go, destroying much of the Midwest. Major rivers such as the Mississippi have been unleashed.

The Kurians are a branch of an alien race known as the Lifeweavers. They naturally have very long lives of thousands of years and have learned to increase their lifespan indefinitely by absorbing vital aura from other living beings. This was discovered from the remnants of a civilization only known as the Pre-Entities. After a civil war with the other Lifeweavers, the Kurians launched a large scale invasion of earth with an engineered virus known as "ravies" and triggering several natural disasters during a time of economic breakdown known as the New Depression. National governments quickly collapsed and the Kurians set up a new form of government. This similar in ways to feudalism, with Kurian lords controlling specific areas and maintaining their status quo through fear and intimidation. Though they have some interest in culture, their main goals are survival and power. Oftentimes they are compared to drug addicts, never looking much further than the next "fix" of vital aura from their human cattle. This of course belies their tenacity and power wielded through their Reapers.

The Kurians created these vampiric monsters that stalk the night, selecting victims for their insatiable masters. Each Reaper is an extension of its master, and when it pierces the heart of a victim with its long, flexible tongue to drain the unfortunate's blood, its connection to the Kurian controller transfers the vital aura. The Reapers are nigh-unstoppable; not only garbed in bullet-resistant cloaks but also possessing superhuman speed, agility, strength and resilience. Their blood is a powerful coagulant when exposed to air, sealing wounds almost instantly, and the bones of a Reaper are hard enough to deflect most bullets. The most terrifying aspect of the Reaper, however, is its ability to stalk prey by sensing out "lifesign", the energy given off by a living being. The greater the emotional distress of the target, the easier it is for the Reapers to find them.

The Reapers are the Kurians ultimate killing machine; faster than a Wolf, keener eyesight than a Cat and more brute power than a Bear make them a fearsome opponent and rightly feared even by battle-hardened soldiers and Hunters. Though they have one weakness, when not directly controlled by a Kurian overlord they become reckless and less efficient and even more after feeding, taking on the appearance of a drunk, stumbling and fumbling.

The other non-human soldiers of the Kurians are known as Grogs and represent a variety of strange creatures apparently engineered in many cases by the Kurians to serve as shock troops. The most common among these are war-like ape-men sometimes called Gray Ones, and smarter blond colored ones called Golden ones.

The Kurians' cousin species, the Lifeweavers, developed a means of turning human beings into weapons. These Hunters are divided into three castes: Wolf, Cat, and Bear. The Lifeweavers alter the bodies of the Hunters to grant them enhanced senses, reflexes and endurance. They are humanities only allies in the war against the Kurians and the Reapers.

Among Humans, the lifeweavers are strange topic, some Revere them others are suspicious, yet the Hunters look to them with awe. The lifeweavers have the ability to shapeshift and will often appear in a form most comfortable with the one they are talking to. The Wolves Lifeweaver Father Wolf will often appear as a giant wolf. Much as Rho, of the Cats, will wander as a feline. Not much more is known about them or why they chose to help humanity in its struggle.

Wolves:
The most numerous of the Hunters. Wolves are long-range patrollers, able to run almost tirelessly for hours on end, and possessing the ability to "harden" their senses to the sensory ability akin to a wolf. Wolves engage in guerrilla warfare against the Kurian Order; killing Reapers to weaken the Kurians, smuggling out humans, destroying resources of the Order, and fighting in rapid hit-and-run engagements with the Grog and human soldiers of the Order.

Cats:
A smaller and slightly more elite caste than the Wolves. They are not part of the formal military hierarchy, although they are considered captains as a courtesy. They receive agility and reflexes comparable to a feline, as well as incredible balance and cat-like night vision. Cats do not often travel in groups, working as solitary spy-saboteurs, gathering information and destroying assets deep within the Kurian-controlled areas.

Bears:
These are the near-unstoppable shock troops of the Human resistance. When modified by a Lifeweaver to become a Bear, a human soldier becomes "a walking tank", fighting like a berserker of old and possessing tremendous strength and power. Bear physical capabilities are actually on par with the Reapers themselves, able to fight and even kill Reapers in single combat. They also possess an incredible faculty for healing, to the point of regenerating nerve damage and internal organs that have been lost. Bears induce a trance-like state called "going Red", which seems to induce the berserker rage for which the Bears are famous.

Southern Command is one of the few 'Free territories' in America, consisting of a wide area around the Ozarks, among the river-cut limestone, caves, sinks, and thick forests of America's oldest mountains. The land is guarded by a standing army of militia and regular infantry, but is also contains regiments from each of the Castes. Hidden deep within the confines of the mountains and forests and in heavily guarded compounds, the Lifeweavers offer advice and initiation into the hunter castes.

Just a few things to underline - Whilst perfect grammar and literary skills aren't required, a standard level of English should be presented in your posts, whilst I won't judge sheets on this alone, it might make a close call tip in the favour of the better written sheet.

In terms of gear and equipment available to characters: Most guard and militia are armed with single-shot breach loaders and have little more than old felt BDU. Wolves are armed with slightly better equipment, ranging from carbines ( Think Winchester and M1 variations for the most part ) and carry a trade-mark parang. They generally favour the look of the old western Cow-boys. Cats carry trademark tiger claws and a sword along with a wide variety of weaponry. They tend to favour the average civilian dress. Bears are your walking tanks, think biker leathers and chainmail, axes and hatchets with your automatic shotguns and highpowered machine guns. Ofcourse, it's your character I'm just giving you some guidelines and generalizations.

Finally, each character should be somewhere between the ages of 16-20 as you are going to be a fresh initiate, just out of either basic training with the militia/Guard or from your ceremony as a new Hunter.

So, pop a sheet in if you're interested and we'll see where it goes.

Name: Jessica Fenris

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Caste: Wolf

Appearance: 6'2" long grey hair with black mixed in, normally kept in a braid. blue eyes, and an athletes body, defined but not overly large muscles.

Personality: she's a nice person over all, and fiercely loyal to those 'closest' to her. she hates Kurians and has no respect for Quislings at all

Gear (Weapons/misc):
in addition to the Parang, she has Winchester 30-30, a Kris (half straight/half wavy) with a wolf shaped pommel and a model 94A Winchester .44 Magnum Revolver.

Clothing/Armour: she wears a duster, jeans, 'work boots' a tank top, cowboy hat and wrist length fingerless leather gloves

Bio/History:
Jessica is the daughter of a pair Quislings whom are loyal to the Kurians with out question and have reaped the rewards there of. Jessica, how ever, has never liked the Kurians, from as long back as she can remember, ether been afraid of them or hated them, around 15, she hated them more then she feared them. Reapers had taken one of her friends, one she'd known her whole life, and was like family to her, this was the last straw for her.

Jessica, acting purely on rage filled emotion, grabbed the Kris that had been in her family for generations, found a Reaper, and tried burying the knife in it in revenge, Jessica was promptly back handed and knocked cold for her effort. when she came to, she was covered in blood, in a dark room, and next to some one she'd never met before and next to him, a much larger man also covered in blood. she found out this person was part of the resistance one of the hunters, a wolf specifically, his friend a bear. he was in town staking out potential strike targets when he saw her rather brainless stunt and he and part of his pack decided to step in.

as the rest of his pack returned he informed her of the line she crossed. the Kurians, at best, would execute her, at worst, she live to be slowly drain of her 'vital aura', and not just her, but her family as well. the expression on her face was mixed on one hand she was sad her family would pay for it, but on the other, she knew they'd offer them selves up if they asked. so when the packs leader asked if she'd go back with them, not seeing any other option, she accepted. on the way back she found out the pack leader and the bear where long time friends, and he usually tagged along on missions like this

Jessica wasn't pressed into training right away, she was to young for one, and soft, for another. so she worked around the wolves main 'den' till she was both old enough and strong enough for the physical requirements that training would entail, that's what they told her anyway, the higher ups wanted to make sure she could be trusted first, she was from a loyalist family after all. during her training it came more and more clear she was a 'wolf' in nature and ability, which she found fitting, considering her last name

Name: Shizuka "Shiv" Amaya

Age: 19

Gender: Female

Caste: Cat

Appearance: Japanese. Black hair in a braid that reaches her waist. Bright-green cat's eyes. Tall, pretty, slim, and athletic.

Personality: Rather headstrong for a sneaky free-runner, though not to the point of stupidity. She would normally prefer to avoid killing if she can, but the monsters made it personal, which is most of the reason she agreed to go through with the mutation in the first place.

She feels kind of wary around people from the other Castes, but she isn't sure why.

Gear (Weapons/misc): A pair of ninjaku, a worn P90, and ammo.

Clothing/Armour: Very light armor under Parkour-friendly street clothes, consisting of a pair of tight jeans, sneakers, full-hand gloves, and a small black hoody with a purple panther on the back. The hood has mock cat ears on it.

Bio/History: Shizuka grew up somewhere near Tokyo (she can't remember where, exactly) with her small family. When Shizuka was younger, a Reaper killed most of her friends and all of her family, including her fiance. Her fiance's family found her and helped her escape to the US, where she joined the Southern Command as soon as they would let her.

She proved to be an asset, fueled by her desire for revenge along with a confidence that belied her intelligence. On one occasion, she managed to kill a Reaper single-handedly by dropping a building on it (it was rigged with explosives). She escaped with minor injuries.

She was eventually approached to speak with one of the Lifeweavers, something she had reservations about, but she went with it anyway because she felt it would let her get revenge that much faster.

Name: Regan McMahon
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Caste: Bear
Appearance: White hair kept in a ponytail with bangs. Heavily scarred from a Reaper encounter before joining the bear caste. More muscular and taller than average. Has slightly more of an 'animalistic' appearance compared to most bears, and her eyes appear almost totally black.
Personality: Became an initiate due to a desire to protect others, despite the great personal risk to herself. Fairly serious, sometimes stubborn and overprotective. Constantly tries to surpress her tendancy to anger and remains calm in all but the most stressful situations. Has interited a zealous hatred of the Kurians from her family, further fuelled by events during her lifetime. She's also self-concious about not looking particularly 'feminine',although this issue tends to crop a lot more often up when dealing with non-bear social circles after her transformation.
Gear (Weapons/misc): Specialises in hand to hand combat.
Clothing/Armour: Dresses practically for combat, forgoing armour for freedom or movement, but with a slight 'Goth' style to it as a nod to her family of self-proclaimed 'freaky alien vampire humters' and to create an intimidating appearance.
Bio/History:
Regan's family has a history line of bear initiates (with a bit of a polar bear look about them), but recently the complications of this became widely known. Whilst protecting a village from reapers, her uncle (a recently initiated 2nd generation bear) completely and permanantly lost control whilst 'going red', wipeing out friend and foe alike before he was eliminated by a Southern Command contingent alerted to the massacre.

After this tragic event the McMahon's wishing to join the bear caste now tend either start families early (i.e. before initiation) or forgo having kids altogether. As the youngest sibling (and the only one too young for initiation at the time), her father decided carry on the family tradition as a straightforward 'normal' soldier, a decision that was fully supported in ligght of recent events.

Regan originally wasn't sure about becoming a bear initiate, her soul-searching over the matter delaying her desicion, but after the death of her boyfriend (and soon to be fiancee) during a raid organised by the Kurians(only narrowly surviving herself due to the trace healing factor from her fathers side), she decided to dedicate her life to protecting others, hoping to find solace in the lives she saved.

Even though she has half the amount of 'bear blood', she often worries about suffering the same fate as her uncle. She took up martial arts in the lead up to her initiation, the level of disipline and concentration involved in her chosen combat style allowing her to keep her rage in check, maintaining a kind of 'tranquil fury' on the battlefield. She also secretly hopes that by avoiding weapons and requiring finnesse whilst fighting she can limit the damage she would do should she 'lose it'. She also, going from the experience of some of her other bear caste relatives, is estimated to have a much lower life expectancy, with many of the '2nd genners' counting themselves lucky to hit 50.

Name: Yuriy Solovyev

Age: 21

Gender: Male

Caste: Bear

Appearance: 7'2" very broad frame and very muscular build. He has a light complexion, having a mild tan. His left eye is dark blue, the right being grey and foggy, appearing to be dead and accompanied by a long scar running from the top of his brow to his jaw. The damaged eye is fully functional due to the effects of the Lifeweavers' powers, though it hadn't done much in the way of bringing color back to the revived tissue. He has thick brown hair that he keeps short and cropped atop head and prefers to remain clean shaven.

Personality: As always, Yuriy has been light-hearted and generally good-natured as a result of his upbringing, at least when he's not in a warring mood. However, when he builds an appetite for fighting, it's as if a switch was flipped somewhere inside of him. He becomes like stone - cold, nearly void of emotion. He becomes a calculating, merciless, brutal individual with the desire to crush his foes in every sense of the word.

Gear (Weapons/misc): When one sees Yuriy battle-ready, it becomes evident he would not be fit for superior speed or agility, for the weight he bears is truly one to behold. His pride and joy is his Yak-B 12.7mm machine gun he's improvised for hand-firing. On the fore-end of his weapon's frame is a handle, which he holds with his left arm, that had been fastened on to provide stability while working the firing mechanism on the rear. To lessen the burden of carrying ammunition in a box attatched to the gun, he's fashioned a feeding belt that delivers cartridges from the easy-to-remove box on his back to the firing chamber. The necessary tweaks to the weapon have come with a great sacrifice in its firing speed, bringing it to around 300 rounds per minute.

When his ammo is expended for his prize gun or he needs to drop it for whatever reason, he resorts to his OTs-62 12 Gauge Service Revolver Shotgun and sheer brute force. He keeps his hand-cannon holstered to his right hip and a belt full of solid steel slug ammunition around his waist.

Clothing/Armour: He is usually seen wearing polyester shirts and a black, rugged leather jacket with dark jeans and black mountain boots. He also favors wearing a Luzhkov's-style leather cap when he isn't fully geared up.

When he's fully armored, he wears thick steel plates he's fashioned into various pieces of gear. Heavy pauldrons of riveted steel guard his shoulders, and his arms are also shielded with thick plating. His left arm-guard differs from the right with the sleeve having the addition of a rounded neck guard jutting up from the top of the shoulder, as well as an attatched cestus guarding the top of his hand. The cestus is heavily riveted, allowing him to use the exposed studs as an aid in his batterings. A thick cuirass keeps his torso shielded from many blows, his neck protected with a raised steel guard on the upper back, as well as some of his lower body with the attatched thigh and groin guards. The most protected areas of his body are all above the waist, especially his head. He wears a makeshift Soviet SSH-40 helmet firmly strapped over to his head and to protect his face, he's made himself a steel mask that he keeps secured just as well.

Bio/History: Yuriy grew up a refugee in a small camp in the forests of Illinois, near the fringes of Southern Command. Orignally, the settlers were part of a larger group of resistance fighters gathering to join those in the rumored free territory. They had started this journey from the east coast and had miraculously made a great distance without trouble. But once they were passing through Illinois, winter had hit them in full force. They had no choice but to hunker down and try to get by. Those who were itching to press through the harsh cold did so, though most were never seen nor heard from again. The ones that chose to stay behind and wait out the worst of it were mainly families, Yuriy's being one of them.

The refugees' tents hadn't held up as much as they needed to, so every able-bodied person helped to cut trees to make small huts to shield them from the bitter winds. In just a few weeks' time, it had already turned into a quaint community, and it was steadily growing for they had been met with others like themselves, trying to make the journey to Southern Command and being hindered by the winter. It didn't take long for it to form into a small settlement, becoming essentially a stop for any passers by. It was remote enough to be of no interest to Reapers, though large enough to support those who wished to stay. After a time, it adopted the title of Bitterfrost Outpost by the folk who lived there and was established as a small base tasked with directing travelers to Southern Command's central area of operation.

However, as peaceful as it was, no one could've anticipated the terrible tragedy that befell them. It was the year Yuriy had turned 7 when a rather large group of weary travelers had arrived at the settlement. Unbeknownst to them, they were being tracked by a group of Reapers with a growing thirst for blood. In the dead of night, by a single gunshot, the event that still haunts the memories of those who survived had begun. There was running and screaming, panic struck every home as Reapers sought any soul unfortunate enough to be within reach. Riflemen fired countless rounds into them but were torn apart almost instantly and drained of their blood. While chaos erupted all around them, Yuriy was in the arms of his father who was fleeing deeper into the forest with the boy's mother in tow. The sounds of gunfire slowly died out as the last few of the fighters were slaughtered, though the screams hadn't ceased for the Reapers had pursued those who fled.

It was one painful cry in particular that still echoes through the mind of Yuriy and without a doubt his father. It was that of his mother, after she had tripped over an exposed tree root and was mercilessly killed by one of the creatures. Hearing the frightening sounds of the feasting behind him, Yuriy's father had turned sharply, causing him to stumble and fall. The boy's father acted swiftly, commanding his son to keep quiet near the trunk of a nearby tree while the man dared to stand up to the nightmarish abomination. He charged with a knife drawn but was thrown to the side before he could even attempt to bring it into the creature's flesh. He was dazed and blacked out, though only for a moment. When he came to, he could see the creature looming near the trunk of a tree - the very same tree he'd left his son near.

Yuriy struggled against the creature's hold, and in the struggle was cut deeply by sharp claws. He cried out in pain as the open flesh on his face was touched by the air, eliciting a defiant shout from his father. However, there was more power behind the voice than either of them had expected, as it was enforced by that of a large bulk of a man that had charged out from the darkness. The man had tackled the Reaper against the tree, breaking bones with an audible crunch and allowing Yuriy the chance to escape. The boy quickly ran to his father's arms and they both watched in awe as this stranger wrestled with the beast. Then, the distant screams were soon drowned out by gunfire that erupted all around them. Armed forces had advanced on the attacking Reapers, driving them back and even reducing their numbers.

In the aftermath, few settlers from Bitterfrost were found alive. The remaining people were escorted by the armed guards to the heart of Southern Command to bring news of the attack and be brought to safety. As it turns out, the men who drove out the Reapers were sent to deliver provisions for the settlers, though it was evident that would no longer be necessary. All that could be done for Yuriy's eye at the time was to be cleaned and bandaged. When the group finally entered the main hub of Southern Command, Yuriy's father was told he should talk to the Lifeweavers within and that they may be able to help with the boy's wound. The Lifeweavers told the man that in order for them to be able to bring vision back to Yuriy's mangled eye, he would need to dedicate his life as a Hunter, and only then would he be able to accept the Lifeweavers' gift.

After careful deliberation, Yuriy decided that he wanted to go through with the process. He wanted to become a Hunter, to help in the fight to drive the invaders out of their rightful home and ultimately ensure that what was done to him and his family would never be done again. And so begun his training...

Yuriy may have started his training earlier than most, though that is simply because he would have the most difficult road ahead of him and he needed to be fully prepared. As an initiate that was blind in one eye, Yuriy was pushed harder than any other because he needed to fight the hardest if he was to become what he needed to become. Yuriy impressed his mentors by greatly surpassing their expectations. When something couldn't be done the first, second, or at times even the third try, he'd still press on and would never accept defeat. Years went by, and eventually Yuriy's wound had closed, though never fully healing. The dying eye went grey and a grotesque scar formed from the cut. By the time he was ready to be given his selected Lifweaver's gift, the gift of Ryu. The gift of the Bear. Yuriy accepted this with great honor, and the hopes that he would truly become a force to be truly feared among those who had done him and all the world wrong.

Name: Scatach. It's a nickname she gave herself, but she has since obliderated all traces of her former name, which she hated.
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Caste: Cat

Appearance: Scathach is a medium height woman, roughly 5'6". She wears her wavy red hair at about jaw length, though it's getting slightly long, halfway down her thin neck. She is obviously of Scottish descent, through her father's side, giving her a pool of freckles on her cheekbones, pale skin and red hair. Her eyes are light gray, with catlike pupils from her transformation.

Personality: Scathach is a tough street rat, with a personality to match. She's gruff and harsh in the extreme, though she genuinely cares about the people close to her. However, she tends to not let people get close to her. Her father was a castout from a family of quislings, and passed on what education he could to his children, which makes her somewhat more well-read and knowledgeable than most. Mostly, she prefers non-lethal hand-to-hand, taking down her opponents down with a fighting style consisting of copious momentum and absolute pragmatism, rather than simply killing them.

Gear (Weapons/misc): She carries a push knife, a small double-edged dagger, three throwing knives and a pouch of noise-makers she uses to distract targets, in addition to the standard claws of a cat. She had a kurki that she used for several years in the city, but she lost it on her last, and most difficult, job. She is currently looking for one to replace it.

Clothing/Armour: She wears trendy- though functional- civilian clothing, typically greens, reds or blues. She wears a fingerless glove on her left hand, to aid in climbing. She sacrifices armour for sheer maneuverability.

Bio/History: Gina was born to a quisling defector and a communist who gave much more than they could afford to those even less fortunate than them. She was raised in a small, out of the way apartment in what was once the Bronx of New York City. However, when she was ten, her mother and father were harvested, leaving her and her younger brother to fend for themselves. Scathach became adept at thievery, and then, later, running, in a particular style of free running of her own invention. This continued for a while, as she gradually moved up from simply picking pockets to slipping into buildings to pilfer valuables.
Once she got a name for being able to get all across the city without the authorities knowing, certain parties utilized her as a courier for goods they wanted to keep secret and make sure they got where they needed to. Eventually, she came into contact with Southern Command, when they contracted her to take supplies and intel to a Cat working in the city. After a few trips of the nature, she decided to join up, due to a desire to get her little brother out of the city, and a desire to avenge her parents. She was trained and transformed into a Cat, her new abilities augmenting the ones she had developed already.

about the hunters, do they have the psychical characteristics of the animal they are classed in (IE, claws for cats) or just enhanced senses?

Just the enhanced senses, although a Cat might, for instance, file their nails in such a way they resemble claws, or a Bear might sharpen his Teeth for intimidation.

Cats gain the same eyes as their feline friends upon initiation, so they, atleast, can.

Well, if you wear thinking of creating a wolf, you could just just include something along the lines of thicker hair on his arms and body, sharpened teeth to appear more intimidating - something along those lines?

ah :/ i was hoping for something more 'lycanish'
Well, if you wear thinking of creating a wolf, you could just just include something along the lines of thicker hair on his arms and body, sharpened teeth to appear more intimidating - something along those lines?
well there are were-cats to, speaking of, what breed(s) of cat are you using? house cat or wild cat?
The hunters are listed after the traits they inherit. Cat's gain enhanced eye sight, reflexes and greater flexibility, allowing them to essentially free-run. They are also known for operating alone with a certain degree of independence.

Wolves inherit greater senses, better hearing, smell and reflexes and can run tirelessly for hours and work well in a pack, much like wolves of the wild.

Seeing as the question was a little confusing, I'm hoping that answers it as best I can.

^^;; didn't help at all.

what i meant was more along the lines of 'what effect would specific feline genealogy have?'
say, if i made her part cheetah, would she be a world class sprinter? or part tiger would that make her stronger then normal, and so on.

also, how dose one become a 'hunter?' in that world i mean. are they selected and altered or created?

Ah, now that's a much better question.

After training for several months, an initiate will be lead to their specific Lifeweaver. ( The Wolves have call theirs Father Wolf, The Cats goes by Rho and The Bears have Ryu ). During the meeting, the lifeweaver will 'unlock' the traits unique to each caste ( So there are no Cheetahs/House Cats ). After the meeting the initiate will feel sick, dazed and often confused as they adapt to their new senses and abilities ( Often painfully ).

As for 'how' they are created; The Lifeweavers tap into the DNA of Humans, in which these traits lay dormant and hidden, beaten out of the system by evolution and bring them back in a sense, they just open doors we forgot.

I hope that fits better! :)

Name: Theodore 'Teddy' Yates

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Caste: Wolf

Appearance: About 5'10 with a slightly muscular build, brown medium length messy hair with some stubble. Yellow iris.

Personality: Is friendly and usually fairly calm. He's not very brave despite being a fairly good shot and shows a lot of fear around reapers.

Gear: Headphones to help with his super hearing, and a M1 Garand and a classic revolver. Has the usual parang, but doesn't like using it.

Clothing/armor: A knee length brown cloak and a Cowboy hat. Wears a grey tee shirt underneath and black jeans.

Bio: He is the son of a pair of quislings and had an okay upbringing, complete with education. His father held a 'brass ring', granting what he thought was immunity. He was wrong.

One day, he and some of his friends were having fun, eating a watermelon and spitting the seeds at random people walking by. One of his friends accidently hit a reaper, and was taken. The reaper then decided to take the rest of them.

Teddy managed to make it home before the reaper caught up. His mom was the unfortunate one to answer the door, and was taken. The reaper was then attacked by his moms' handler, a Bear who was using her as an 'inside man'. The reaper was beaten, and the Bear took him back out of pity.

Teddy was unfortunately not beefy enough to become Bear, but his sniper skills were welcomed by the Wolves. He's been with them since.
I'm a bit tired, tell me if I messed anything up.

Name: Jessica Fenris

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Caste: Wolf

Appearance: 6'2" long redish orange with black mixed in that goes white at the tip, normally kept in a braid. dark green eyes, and an athletes body, defined but not overly large muscles. she tends to be a bit more nimble then most wolves

Personality: she's a nice person over all, and fiercely loyal to those 'closest' to her. she hates Kurians and has no respect for Quislings at all. she's also a bit of a prankster, and tends to favor traps

Gear (Weapons/misc):
in addition to the Parang, she has Winchester 30-30, a Kris (half straight/half wavy) with a wolf shaped pommel and a model 94A Winchester .44 Magnum Revolver.

Clothing/Armour: she wears a brown duster, blue jeans, black 'work boots' a grey tank top, a brown cowboy hat with black trim and wrist length fingerless black leather gloves

Jessica, acting purely on rage filled emotion, grabbed the Kris that had been in her family for generations, found a Reaper, and tried burying the knife in it in revenge, Jessica was promptly back handed and knocked cold for her effort. when she came to, she was covered in blood, in a dark room, and next to some one she'd never met before and next to him, a much larger man also covered in blood. she found out these people was part of the resistance, the hunters, a wolf specifically, his friend a bear. he was in town staking out potential strike targets when he saw her rather brainless stunt and he and part of his pack decided to step in.

as the rest of his pack returned he informed her of the line she crossed. the Kurians, at best, would execute her, at worst, she live to be slowly drain of her 'vital aura', and not just her, but her family as well. the expression on her face was mixed on one hand she was sad her family would pay for it, but on the other, she knew they'd offer them selves up if they asked. so when the packs leader asked if she'd go back with them, not seeing any other option, she accepted. on the way back she found out the pack leader and the bear where long time friends, and he usually tagged along on missions like this

Jessica wasn't pressed into training right away, she was to young for one, and soft, for another. so she worked around the wolves main 'den' till she was both old enough and strong enough for the physical requirements that training would entail, that's what they told her anyway, the higher ups wanted to make sure she could be trusted first, she was from a loyalist family after all. during her training, she displayed her talents for trickery, that she was forced to reign in in the city, much to the dismay of some of her fellow trainees, and it became fairly clear early on she didn't really 'fit' into any specific caste, not strong enough to be a bear for sure, but a nice middle ground between the Cat and Wolf castes, some one suggested a 'fox' caste due to her natural ability's that where bubbling up, her training seeming to reveal some one who was a naturally athletic, as well as cleaver.

she however ended up in the wolf caste, since she over all displayed the most 'wolf' like traits, the Father Wolf made sure to at least give a nod to her more 'fox' like nature with her hair coloring however

and done :3

Just a few things to point out. Reapers are creatures of terror, everyone within the Kurian zone knows to fear them and they have quite a stand out appearance, a black cloak made of an unknown material that they wear like Monks Robes - Also, if they can out run wolves ( Who can keep pace with a galloping horse for around a minute at full sprint ) they can out run little teddy. They also become drowsy after feeding, and even more so in daylight hours.

The only other critique would be the headphones - a Wolves hearing is superb, but when they 'harden' their senses, they could hear a pin drop a hundred metres off, so headgear would have an adverse effect. Unless they look cool. Rule of cool > :)

Again, the only critique is the fear of the Reapers - these are terrifying creatures and ferocious in combat, anyone striking out at one may aswell be striking the Kurian in control - Although the reasoning of the Wolves stepping in helps, just be aware a Reaper could jump in the middle of a pack of atleast ten Wolves and leave with just a messy pool of meat behind.

We need some felines up in here. =3

It sounds like we're limited to WW2-era weapons. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Gear (Weapons/misc): A pair of ninjaku, a pair of M3 Grease Guns, a Browning Hi-Power FN-GP35 pistol, and ammo for all.
