It's in Alpha stages, and for the mid- to high-level preorders the servers just opened yesterday, but is anyone playing it or anticipating it? Myself and a few friends bought into it for the guest codes, and first impression is IT IS FREAKY! Maybe I'm just a wuss, too, but it seemed being placed in the forest, in the dark, with NO CLUE what is going on added to the mystery of this sandbox game...

Any other opinions/thoughts?

I found it quite funny they copy pasted their legal agreement from League of Legends.

Not really looking too highly at this one, not giving it a fair chance either as I'm just waiting for DayZ.

My computer doesn't have the video card to run ArmaII/DayZ, so no way I'll even be able to play this.

lol yeah I noticed that too...I'm figuring that was the bright idea of some of the developers (who were on the development team of LoL)

I was going to buy it but then I felt like it didn't compare to Day z with the survival aspects. The game just seems to make it too visible for the other players to see you for a survival game.

Still, I like the humour so far.

If you want for the hell of it, you can download and play a bit of War inc battle zone [http://www.thewarinc.com/] to test your performance. The devs said in the FAQ that it uses the same engine so it can be used as a "demo" so to speak.

Well we do only have access to 30% of the map, so once it's 100% I doubt incidents like in the video will be occuring. Plus it's alpha. :/

I was having a hard time seeing other players, or at least distinguishing them from zombies...except for the flashlight going off every now and then lol

True but to me that seems to be because of their incompetence.

This game must be in it's very late stages of alpha. Even then, in order for it be a notable "survival" game it's gonna have to do what DayZ is doing but better. This game right now is on par with Fallout 3 in terms of survival mechanics.
