The Wii...a return to it's uselessness...

Well...I just had a personal realistaion that my Wii is absolutely useless. I have long been making jokes about it gathering dust in the corner. But I always assumed that it was just because I preferred my PS3 and 360 to the Wii...but a few months ago my 360 died and I was saving to replace it, but three weeks ago my PS3 died. I play my PS3 much more than my 360 so it was an easy choice to switch and though I had the money saved (that I had been planning to buy a new 360 with) I decided to wait for the 320gig/move bundle that's coming out on Friday, since, you know I would have been paying the same price for less had I bought it earlier...

Now, to my realisation...I have just realised that even though I have had no games console apart from the Wii for nearly a month I have not once turned it on. Now I have some good games for the Wii, Zelda, a fun on rails Resi game, the newest Silent Hill as well as the obligatory party games and the girlf's fitness stuff...I have a few other games too. But I have no inclination at all to turn on the little white box...am I alone...is there anyone else who has nothing else and still won't bother with the Wii?

[EDIT] I'm not sassing the Wii generally here, as I said, this is a personal realisation...perhaps the subject bar should read "MY Wii" so...my bad.

Well I stopped playing my Wii because I got my 360 and decided to use that and my computer for gaming. I guess I don't apply since I have something else.

I sold it about a year or so ago because I realized then it was a waste of time and money.

I still haven't seen one game that makes the Wii worth while.

SSBB is okay, Twilight Princess is good but it's on the Gamecube, Metroid is always awesome and really the only thing I would want a Wii for but the new Zelda just looks (and I'm sorry to say this) disappointing.

I have a Wii and am looking forward to play Metroid: Other M after I am done with Halo: Reach. I own all three systems and while I do play the Wii the least, I still enjoy the games that I do play on it..

I can't enjoy any Wii games that don't utilize sensible controls. Even the Mario Galaxy games, Twilight Princess and Other M are completely unplayable for me. Right now, the only game I play on a semi-regular basis is New Super Mario Bros Wii, which I have to admit is an amazing experience when played with friends.

Outside of that, I'm sort of looking forward to Donkey Kong Country Returns and Kirby's Epic Yarn. Other than those two, I got nothin'.

I can't stay I keep my relationship with the wii up to date, but I really haven't found any use for it before. Usually what happens is, I feel bad that I never use it (though it isn't solely mine) so I take out a game and try playing it for a while but get fed up after a couple of minutes and just fire up my X-box instead =/

I've actually been playing my PS2 more than my Wii lately because of Persona 4/Okami, but when the new Zelda comes out I'll definitely be playing my Wii a lot more. That and Kirby's Epic Yarn.

Nope. I hadn't even considered playing it. It just never occurred to me...and that is kind of my point. I didn't stop and go "I could play the Wii, but I don't want to", or as you put it I "don't want to play it because you want to fit with the "in crowd"". I just found the realisation that it was there all along and I never even thought of playing it confounding.

I keep mine around to play No More Heros 1&2 and a bunch of other old school games I've obtained. Though it may be useless to you, I'm sure there are plenty of people who still play theirs.

Sad...very sad. Oh well. Let him. I'll continue to enjoy my primary console which is the Wii. It's been 4 years and I still play it more than my dust360.

My ex-flatmates owned a Wii, but I never played it outside of Rock Band or DDR sessions during parties. I'd rather do a lot of things than play the Wii.

I dont even play my Xbob anymore, nevermind my wii, my sister plays it though, so i'm not allowed to pawn it off, will sell my xbox shortly though, i just dont bother gaming anymore
