Yesturday I was on gears of war 2 and asked someone for help as I was losing XP for no reason. They told me "Im not saying because your british". I found this quite hilarious as there must be some reasons why the Americans hate the british and vice versa. Tell me what you think.

YES! Britain, baby! Hey guys, I too am British from West Yorkshire and I agree. I have heard some pretty bad anti-british stuff from Americans on COD4, literally just for saying "Thanks" I was told to "Shut my limey-fag mouth" which doesnt seem fair... I dont even smoke. (HAHA!)
Hmm, I've noticed a very distinct hatred between Asians and Americans (there usually Americans... as far as I can tell) as me and my friends have Gamertags that could be construed as of an Asian nature and we get insulted for it. But then we beat them. And we are even feared on some servers/games...
But as an Aussie, we get a bit of hate. And deal a little hate. Mainly because if we have a game full of Aussies and one American joins, they host and we get lagged to the max. Maybe the UK Vs. USA has a similar reason...
But no hate for the Brits from us Aussies. We share the love around...

America was founded by a bunch of brits wanting to escape british rule, thats probably what started it. the following years of 'pushing and shoving' between us got a bit 'out of hand' and we had a couple of minor wars (we lost, yippee). Plus all that tea they chucked in boston harbour, we've never forgiven them.
Also, britain did the whole empire thing a while back, america seems to be trying to follow in our footsteps without realising that it isnt a good idea right now.
No doubt someone will correct me on my details/semantics but this is roughly it.
p.s. its similar to the britain vs. germany/france/spain/everywhere else tension. at some point in our history we owned pretty much the world so we tend to be snotty when the colonies start acting superior (i.e. like us)

Errrr... what? I think that most Americans don't even care much about the British at all. The only people we dislike a lot are the French... and even then it's mostly just their politicos we hate and not the people themselves.
