I hate, i mean hate, how in every facebook group is a mention of "cod" not even Call of Duty, it's always cod. like a mysterious fish.

On another thread here someone was like "If xbox fans didn't get enough of their cod" :S

Or on Facebook groups like "you know your boyfriend loves you when he speaks to you during cod"

I just hate it being overused as cod and its always being mentioned. its a good game but there are better ones.


Sorry just wanted to share my hatred and wonder if anyone agrees or has similar views for other games

I don't know. It seems that if people are not foaming at the mouth about one developer's games then it is another. I don't get that attached to one game or developer which is why I am on a general gaming forum and not some developer forum or fansite.

This "CoD" thing you're so upset over is just a natural progression of popularity that happens every few years. It used to be Counter-Strike (CS) in the bad old days, mostly because of it's accessibility and appeal to casual gamers.
This will be the case of all games that is simple enough to play and has enough quality and/or is hyped enough to appeal to the great masses and mainstream followers.

And yes, it will happen again with another game within the next 10 years. Count on it.
