I'm not sure if this is just me, but every once in a while there will be something in a non horror game that just freaks me out a bit...
Like right now it's The real murderer's (I'm not gonna spoil it) smug bastard face in persona 4, it scares the shit out of me.

But how about you my fellow escapists?

The first time I played Bioshock, it scared the crap out of me. Probably had something to do with me making the darkness far too low. Also the fact that the dead bodies kept twitching after they died... (shudder)

The creepy never blinking stare NPCs give you in RGPS like Fall Out 3 and Oblivion. And how oblivious they get when you talk to them.

All joking aside, I'd have to say the ending to Conkers Bad Fur Day.
So damn depressing...

I still get freaked out by sudden unexpected loud noises in video games. Like in Dead Space or some action games. It usually isn't supposed to scare me but I would get freaked out by sudden loud noises that cause me to pause the game and catch my breath.

Yes, I am aware of how wimpy that is.

Also I get a wee bit creeped out by Bayonetta, it's not that I don't mind a female character who is comfortable and open with her sexuality it's just that she goes beyond just being open about her sexuality and is now kind of oppressive with her sexuality which makes awkward nerds like me very nervous.

My overall reaction to shooters is overall paranoia - keeps you safe from the enemy.

Sometimes I get so antsy that even Portal is to terrifying to be enjoyable. It's the creepy silent protagonist thing. :(

Fallout 3 is also sometimes terrifying where it should not be. I don't think the feral ghouls are supposed to scare me as much as they do.

The fact that in ocarina of time the owl followed you around... That was kinda creepy if you ask me.
Edit: Also the skull kid's laugh in majora's mask scared me as a kid

Yes, the part right after you change to adult link and the city is full of those zombies. When I was little the sight of one of those things terrified me.

Okay, this'll sound sad, especially considering this is my first post... But anybody remember that shark (forget his name) from Banjo Kazooie? That thing was my mortal enemy. I freaked whenever I heard the music. I was so proud when I delved into the water in Rusty Bucket Bay to rescue the (yellow, if I remember right) Jinjo.

Ever played Republic Commando? Going one on one with a Super Battle Droid in tight corners is scary.

Large body of water. It stupid but it Nintendo's fault. I played TMNT and SMB3 at 5 and 6 year old and when i felt in the seaweed or that giant fish jump and eat you. It frighten me as a kid. I ended having nightmare about being eaten alive by either one. I still get goosebumps each and every time i see a lake or a sea that i must traverse. I don't have it in real life which is a relieve.

AND NINTENDO STILL DOES IT!
