Hello fellow escapees
I'm going to London for a couple of days but I'm not sure what to actually do when I get there. I know I'm gonna go see Tower of London, but beyond that I'm not sure. I've been across a couple of different sightseeing guides for London but none of them offered any good advice in my opinion, so I was hoping you guys had some good ideas for what I should go see while I'm there.

Probably depends what you like. Do you like warships? Go to the HMS Belfast. Like royalty? Changing of the guards and whatever palace you can find open to tour. Shopping? Camden, Covent Garden, Greenwich Markets. Wanna get stabbed? East End at night with a pink shirt.

So much to do in London.

If you're going to the Tower (which is good) then you might as well go to HMS Belfast and Tower Bridge. They're literally about 10 mins apart.
Also, the British Museum if you're at all into history, archaeology, or anthropology.
If you like Biology, Natural History Museum.
If you like steam engines, Science Museum.
If you like 15 inch guns [http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2236/1990610386_52a60b8ce2_z.jpg], Imperial War Museum (though sadly closed atm)

And this might sound a bit weird, but even if you don't need to, take a ride on the tube. It's the oldest subway system in the world, and it's always an *experience*. Especially when you get shouted at by angry foreign women for the crime of wearing a backpack in a half-empty carriage.

I second the Science and Nat Hist Museums (and as a bonus, both are free). Plenty of stuff to do in central London - the London Eye, Madame Tussaud's, Camden Market, etc. Also since the weather is actually really nice at the moment any of the larger parks are really nice to chill out in. Westfields London or Westfields Stratford City if you like big, American style malls with cinemas etc. Places like Brick Lane if you want to experience "melting pot" London, really good Indian restaurants, historical architecture etc. Trafalgar Square is another "must-see" tourist spot (and in the summer, go for a dip in the fountains, even though you're not really meant to) and it's right next to the National Gallery which again is free. Plenty of shows and musicals around that end too, also comedy clubs if that's your thing.

Basically, there's no shortage of things to do.
