Things You're Pretty Sure No-one Hates

There used to be a time, way back in the mid-90s, where I was pretty sure that nobody hated The Simpsons. Everyone loved it, I thought. Surely! It's hilarious and heart-warming all at once! Homer hits his head! It funny.

Then I overheard a conversation in which a bunch of reasonably intelligent people were talking about how stupid The Simpsons was. And my mind exploded. ...so, my question is: what show, game, movie, etc. are you pretty certain garners universal and anonymous acclaim - and have you ever had that illusion of "everyone loves this" shattered?

I'll give another example - one which I'm yet to verify - I'm pretty certain everyone loves Wallace and Gromit. No-one could not love it. It's just so awesome. And if anyone does hate it I'm going to have to very seriously rethink my priorities...

I'm pretty sure you can find someone unpleasant enough to hate *anything* you care to name.

Although you might have to search pretty hard to find someone who actively hates oxygen.

I once saw someone hated their own body because it did tasks like digesting food and pumping blood without "consulting" them first. :3

Me and a friend of mine have a theory that no one on Earth hates the Red Hot Chili Peppers. There are people that dislike them or their music, but no one seems to actively HATE them.

I hate Wallace and Gromit. And kittens are very easy to hate, you just have to search for someone with cat fobia.

If I have to guess about something everyone not-hate I would say.... fresh water when you are thirsty!!!!!!

I would think that it would be hard to find someone who truly hates The Beatles.
More the music of The Beatles rather than The Beatles themselves because there might still be some people who got offended by that 'Bigger than Jesus' comment I guess.

Most people who really like the 50s style rock and roll despise the Beatles, because their influence on music pretty much killed that genre for the next 30 years.

Like, seriously, I can't find any hate for this game.

I love minecraft, but just playing in my school for 8 minutes I had a group of people huddled around me, one-side praising it as the best flash game ever and the other side going on about how the graphics were so bad and the game was pointless *Obviously ignorant and raised on the concepts that Good Graphics=Good Game* but there is tons of hate for minecraft, I know one guy who seems to come into every minecraft related thread and openly hates it because of internet hype *forgetting his username though*

OP: Half of every medium is too stupid for the pretentious crowd.

I would say something cute...like a...litter of puppies, covered in another group of kittens...and baby mice to scurry around.

Cookies! All these animals on a table made out cookies! With a baby cow next to it...and couple of sackboys in nerdery clothes....who are...riding ponies! In chocolate...hats!

We also have...piglets! Plump little piglets who are...rolling in the grass!

If that doesn't work, booze, breasts and sex with a greek deity will just do fine

Well I don't hate it, but it seems pretty boring to me. clicking a button and watching my character kill something and then getting blown up by a giant penis, losing all my work for a day does not sound like fun.

OT: I'd have to say that I don't know anyone who hates the sun. It's kind of important.

The other kind of Cancer. Don't get me wrong I love My Little Pony, im part of the My Little Pony group on this website. I was just bringing up the fact that there was a time where people got banned on the /b/ for even mentioning that show. If you know of knowyourmeme.com they talk about it on the My Little Pony page.
