Why on earth are you just killing the enemy?
DIFUSE THE F*@#$&! M-COMM STATION!!!!!!!

Honestly people should have to fill out paperwork stating they will play the match type the right way. Just because the Defenders have infinite respawns doesn't mean you get to dick around in the enemy base trying to spawn kill them. YOU AREN'T HELPING. Go play MW2 or Halo 3 if all you want to do is kill people. Jeez.

Alright I feel a little bit better now that I said that

I value a player that has 1:25 K/D and was part of an advancing force towards the objective more than some sniper who has a 20:1 K/D that sitting somewhere, picking random people off.

I got a 1.31 K/D.
I seem to do better when I'm running up to the enemy rather than picking them off from a distance

Well it doesn't quite matter on K/D, because you can have a high K/D and still be a contributor to the team's victory. What really pisses me off are people that are only concerned with K/D and ignore the objectives even though the team is losing for a few more kills. Trust me, I've seen people ignore the M-COM and just RUN PAST it just for a few more kills.

What the hell are we talking about?
I'm guessing the OP is talking about players who focus on only kills in objective games. And he's using Bad Company 2 as an example.

Oh god this so much! I have literally played a game were everyone on my team is just a sniper and I was trying to take the stations all by myself, pissed me the fuck off.

That is annoying when people turtle or play for points and not to achieve the objective. I'm not the best player but I put all my effort into trying to achieve the goal, whatever it may be.

What I like about Socom is that the MVP usually goes to the player who's done the objective the most (it's hidden, score wise, but I think it's worth more points than kills, in the games math of who gets MVP) and I'll usually do decent for kills, but I'll focus on the objective and that's why we win and I get MVP (not that I get it that often, but I'm always in the running IMO). Every game type has no respawn, too. So if I get killed doing the objective, I've thrown away the chance to get kills that round.

I agree with you, and I'm waiting for developers to make reasons for people to focus on the objective (in the event there is one).
