- is a sentence I've never uttered in my life, being the nice guy that I am. However, there have been a couple of instances where I've gotten something that I've not been overly 'thrilled' about.

Of course, getting presents is always nice, regardless, and we should always be happy that we're actually getting something. I mean, who are we to complain?

However, since this is the internet, and we can share stuff here we wouldn't normally tell our family and real-life friends:

What is the worst present you have ever received? (Or was at least displeased with.)
[sub]If any.[/sub]

Don't be shy now. Don't worry, no one is going to scold you here. Just let it out.

Edit: Oh, and Merry Christmas everyone!

Every year my mom buys me one of those 'page a day' calendars, the kind with really stupid jokes. I try to use them, but every year I stop remembering around the same time, so I have, like, half a dozen of these things in my room, all still stuck in late January.

She still hasn't gotten the hint.

I've been pretty happy with all my presents I've gotten so far (they actually are really nice, like an iPod and a new gaming ready PC) but the one time I would utter a sentence like that is if someone tried to pull something like this [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKwCQWjTyI0&feature=related] on me.

The one present I liked less than all the rest though, would have to be my first PC. I got to pick which one, but it was refurbished, and it was waaaaayyy back in '05 or something and I had a budget of $650. My dad's current laptop is more powerful than it (Radeon HD Mobility and a quad core D:)
It was okay after I became less of a tech noob and upgraded it with a brand spankin new GPU, but I still kick myself for being such an idiot that day and not just building one.
Everyone has to start somewhere I guess...

I was listening to the radio the other day and they were playing a clip of a kid opening books on christmas (when he's already opened a Wii) and he throws a fit. His parents think it's adorable but the DJ's think (and I agree) that those parents are going to be calling Nanny 911 before the kid turns 6! The clip's here you can decide for yourself.

OT: I've gotten a lot of socks and underwear in my time but never anything worth complaining about. Maybe the inevitable potato at the bottom of my stocking...long story.

There is no such thing as a bad present, unless its some kind of joke.

I haven't received a present for xmas or my b'day since i was 12 (which was 20 years ago), so count yourself lucky for getting pressies at all, even if they are "meh".

Damn whingers. Shush. You're getting free stuff.

Hurray! It's ...another sweater ...I'll just pile it up with the rest of the crap, thx. A simple sweater would have been nice, but that thing had the worst pattern I've seen since I puked half a cake when I was 12.

I always appreciate the gifts I get from my family and friends, but I guess clothes will always get this reaction, internally at least, from me.

I know. I'm sorry :D

I have a buddy who wished for a pet hamster once, many years ago. So he got one, too bad his parents forgot about it in the midst of all the presents, and hadn't made any holes in the box.

Half a cake?
Wow.

OT: I got a CD of classic rock ballads. Not bad in itself, but just weird.

I guess that happened to the most of us. But at least i couldnt throw them away yet.

My grandma got me one of the first Britney Spears CD's back in the day, she just asked some salesperson what the "young folks" like atm.....

Whith anyone else i would be mad not to ask at least someone who knew me, but with my granny i still can laugh about it, she always does stuff like that. :D
( i remember one christmas, when my brother got a snoop dogg album, and she was like "ohh that young black man, yes i like his music very much, i got a CD myself at home. After a lot confusion and laughter we found out she ment louis armstrong)

I've gotten some "meh" presents like clothes, but they weren't bad, I mean I could still wear them. So I've never got any bad presents before.

I've gotten my fair share of practical gifts that don't seem that great to a kid. Underwear, socks, that kind of thing.
I smiled and thanked people and shit, but it was pretty darn difficult to seem genuinely appreciative.

What I would give for a nice pair of socks nowadays. I have like three pairs and they are all worn to hell.

My Granddad bought me a Harry Potter book a few Christmases ago, I'd never fake smiled so hard in my life.
