That's because Buzz Lightyear isn't real.
He's just a toy who thinks he is Buzz.
It might be argued he had some information about it, I'm not 100% sure how the animation of toys works, and how their identity is constructed. Although it is my hypothesis that the owner of the toy transfers their idea of identity to the toy, that takes on the characteristics and personality the child gives them when playing.
So anything Buzz would know would merely be information Andy imagined he'd have, and so everything he'd know about the threat would merely be what Andy knew.
But even if he did have valid insight, how do you suggest he'd communicate this to non-toys? As he'd become de-animated as soon as humans were aware of him.

In the Norwegian voiced Toy Story they called him 'Zorg' and I thought it was a play on "sorg" which is the Norwegian word for sorrow. Now it turns out he has the same name in English (Zorg/Zerg/Zurg whatever it is!), so I guess it wasn't ment to mean that at all D=.
