This year in film I have to say has been much more interesting than others preceding it. The worst film Ive seen was Project X which was not bad but meh and kinda stupid in some areas. But movies this year are looking interesting (dumb as some may seem)such as Cabin in the woods, The Raven, Lockout, Battleship, Abraham Lincoln Vamp Hunter, Gi Joe, Total Reacall and I liked Wrath of the Titans. We havent even gotten to the ones Im most interested in Prometheus, Batman Avengers.....
What are you looking to?
What have you seen?
What do you think of this year.
What will happen in Prometheus

So far I've been pretty happy with what I've seen this year, with The Lorax being the only disappointment. I wanna see:

- The Avengers
- Men in Black III
- Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter
- The Pirates! Band of Misfits
- Brave
- The Dark Knight Rises
- The Hobbit

You wanna know how Prometheus ends? With the birth of an Alien... I just know it.

But yeah, Prometheus is going to be the first movie to lure me back into the theater since Arrietty.

I just saw The Grey, and it was surprisingly very good. A lot more than the typical monsters-kill-survivors-one-by-one film I was expecting. It had an interesting philosophical edge, great acting, good soundtrack, and a really touching ending.

I'm mostly interested in Prometheus to see if Ridley Scott has still got his directing skills (Rodin Hood was pretty bad), so I know whether or not to look forward to that Blade Runner sequel he's going to do.

You know what else?

This is going to be the first blockbuster special effects film in a long time that's not going to be PG13.

At least, that's what I reckon seeing as it's a prequel to Alien, as well as having some grisly alien mutation stuff going on.

I wouldn't be that sure about that so far from what I heard the theater version would be PG-13 and there will be an R rated cut for the Dvds.

Still very excited about it Ridley Scott is finally returing to the Alien franchise and judging from the latest trailers it looks pretty good.

I'm looking forward to: The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, Les Miserables, Lincoln, Resident Evil: Retribution, and probably more.

I have seen: The Hunger Games, The Raid: Redemption, 21 Jump Street, Big Miracle, Contraband, John Carter, The Cabin in the Woods, Underworld: Awakening, Project X, The Lorax, The Raven, and Safe House. That is the order I would rank them.

This year, to me, has a lot of potential, and could easily surpass last year.

I've only been to see the one movie this year and that was The Devil Inside and it was very disappointing.

Cabin in The Woods, maaaan can't wait to see this. Going to a midnight showing tonight, I'm trying not to oversell myself on it but from what I hear it's pretty amazing. I am both a horror fan and a Whedon fan so this is right up my alley.

Less excited for but still excited for the Avengers, mostly cuz of Whedon. My excitement is tempered by the fact that I prefer seeing his own original characters in his own original worlds, but he did awesome things with Astonishing X-Men so I'm sure he'll do awesome things with this property.

Dark Knight Rises? Still trying to get over the silly looking Catwoman costume. I keep on hoping it's all a big bait and switch, with Nolan going "ha! Here's the real (awesome) costume!". I'm sure it'll be awesome though, just not expecting it to be The Dark Knight (and hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised).

What am I looking forward to? Cabin in the woods, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Prometheus, the new batman, The Hobbit, and the Avengers.

What have I seen? Nothing so far.

What do I think of the year? Shaping up to be a pretty decent one for movies.

What will happen in Prometheus? Something to do with aliens. I mean, come on, could they make it any more obvious? They show the dead alien corpse (Stargazer, I think it was called) from the first one in the trailer!

I saw Arriety (Yay!), 21 Jump Street (Boo!) and Wrath of the Titans(Ehhh...), but most of the things I'm looking forward to are either animated (Wreck em Ralph, Brave, Pirates! BoM), comic inspired (Avengers, Batman), or a continuation of something old that I love (Prometheus, The Hobbit). Nothing really new there, I hope some more new things appear soon.

What's silly about it? It's just a catsuit and a mask; seems pretty relevant. Better than the costumes in Arkham City, at the very least.

But yeah, Dark Knight Rises. I absolutely love the other two to the point where I can't even begin to care about any other movies. Here's to hoping it isn't Nolan's first flop.

What are you looking to: Rec.3: Genesis and P.T. Anderson's new flic, Prometheus, Moonrise Kingdom, Avengers.

What have you seen: The Raid: Redemption. Twas pretty damn entertaining.

What do you think of this year: Looks promising.

What will happen in Prometheus: Something akin to the end of the world. Much face-melting, psychological meltdowns, Michael Fassbender being a Lawful Evil Corporate-bot.

I just think...it looks silly is all. Maybe because it seems reminiscent (to me anyway) of the campy 60's tv show which I hope everyone stays far far away from.

I agree, Arkham City's catsuit was pretty lame. But the basis for it I actually thought would've made a great template for the movie costume. Particularly the goggles and old flight helmet-cum-cat cowl.

Just not so much the crazy cleavage from AC, which I think would present someone as mobile as Catwoman with some logistic issues.

I don't really have anything I REALLY want to see.
The Avengers will probably be a train wreck, but I'll see it.
Dark Night Rises will be pretty good.

Les Miserables,
They're making another Les Miserables?

Holy crap, they are. With Hugh Jackman? I mean I personally like the guy, but isn't he sort of one of the hated guys now? Jean Valjean sorta takes some acting chops. And he's even 4th billed.

And... no Liam Neeson? Not even a little bit of Liam Neeson?

We're supposed to be hating on Hugh Jackman? This is news to me.

I thought he kinda lost some acting credit after that slew of bad movies he was in in the passed few years.

I've always personally liked him though.
