Well since the Honeymoon phase is long gone lets talk about the final season of Samurai Jack. For me I share the opinion with most of the public in that I felt it blew its load early and should've had more episodes but other than that I'm glad we got that this season its a 7/10 for me.

I think it should have been revealed that he never could actually go back in time, and just had to settle for defeating Aku in the future and living out life that way. Would have made the ending less dumb and uh, you know what not happen which is why it was dumb. I mean, the only real reason we expected him to go back to the past is because of the song. Why does being transported to the future equate to being able to transport back? For all he knew, he was just in suspended animation for however long.

Still, despite the lack-luster ending, I do like that it had an ending.

I'm glad it happened. The show deserved an ending. However, it could have been much better.

As someone who wasn't particularly nostalgic for the show and only saw probably a third of the episodes of the original run, I agree that after episode 3 it really dropped in quality, and never fulfilled the promise that it began with. Those first 3 episodes had me really excited, but after that the mood shifted and things happened way too fast.

And yeah, I also agree that Jack should have killed Aku in the future instead of the past. Erasing the future basically invalidates everything that happened there. Jack may remember it, but all those people he met may never even be born. Who is the Scotsman without Aku to fight against?

I pretty much totally agree. I mean I'm not sure I would call it lackluster, but he should have stayed in the future. Jack actually being able to go back into the past kinda made all his deeds in the future pointless.

Frankly, I'm glad the show even got an ending, considering how certain cartoons seem allergic to committing to a ending...

The bittersweet ending was alright, though I still feel that Ashi deserved better than what she got...

Though I can't help but think the season was a bit too rushed. Seriously, couldn't we have a few more episodes? And that last episode deserved to be an hour-long. But nooooo we had to have two episodes of Dragonball Z! ...Sorry, I'm still bitter.

Honestly, I don't really cared on how bad or good the actually ending is (I knew Gendy wouldn't have been able to pleased everyone), I just glad we did finally got an ending!
Ok that may sound abit shallow but I generally thought the ending was ok despite the flaws. Sure I would had ended it different but hey, I'm not going to ran down Gendy throat of all people on how I think the ending should had ended!

Seriosuly there has been plenty of cartoons that has ended for good but never gotten an ending like-

Jayce abd the Wheel Warriors
Dungeon and Dragons (yes I know about the script on the final episode)
Thundercats 2011
Symbonic Titan
Megas XLR (Ok maybe I took the initial plot too seriously since we don't know if Kiva return to her present to fight back with the Megas.)

To me, those are like the rides that got abruted stall by a mechanical fault and the staff told you to get off and when you asked when the ride is going to be fix, they can't say. Do you come back days ot weeks to check if the ride has been fixed and hoped back on or go to other rides but lingering thought of the first ride is still there especially when you didn't get to the final blast of the ride itself?

Also yes I know about the ending in the comicbook but I never read those.

Should have been 20 episodes and Jack would become an immortal king as prophesied.

I fall into the category of "Amazing first few episodes, can't wait to see where this is going" to "That's...it? All these years, and that's what we get?"

For hyping up the Daughters so much, they went down pretty easy once Jack decided he was okay with killing them. And then the rest of it just felt so rushed. I'm glad we got to see an actual end, but I can't help but feel like the wait wasn't really worth what we got.
