We are talking about the Halo thing, right?

I used to watch a couple of clips some time ago, and recently when I tried watching the new ones, I had no fucking clue what was going on.
Basically they developed TOO MUCH on the organization of Free-Lancers, a bunch of Spartan wannabes.

To the point that it practically lost sight of what the show originnaly was about.
Oh God this, so much this.

Season 10, episode 10. That's the exact moment when I called it quits on the series.
Well again its either go to the direction the show ended up being in (Action/Comedy/Drama) or risk having your humour alone premise go stale.

But I think they also made the mistake of having "wink-winks" to the main Halo canon.
So...make it a new show?

I'm serious - season 5 felt like a good ending to the series. Season 7 and 8 were the beginning of bad habits that would come up later, but I could still live with the series ending there, because IMO, season 6 is easily the strongest. Then, if they had to change, why not just make a new series and title it "Freelancer?" I don't think seasons 9 and 10 were good regardless of the name tapped onto them, but it might have helped. As in, among other things, in season 1, Tex is captured by Red Team of all people. By season 9, we have Matrix-esque stunts, and even by season 8, we had Tex beat up Red Team for no reason other than "isn't this kewl?"
Well anything by the late great Monty Oum is cool.

Anyway what alinated me a bit was retconning the whole "Ghost" aspect and made Church and Tex AIs.

So how does this explain that they were flesh and blood people in the beginning of the fuckin show?
Actually this gets explained in season 14. At least for Church. Tex was never flesh and blood, she just didn't know how/what to tell Church because he was so far gone by that point.

Suffice to say, not all RvB fans are the same. I've been a fan since season 2 and I've loved every season of the show. Season 10 actually ranks as one of my favorites. I can see why some dropped it when they chose to incorporate more drama and plot into the series, but I've remained completely on board. Burnie Burns has said many times that they make what they like, and hopefully other people like it too, and it's worked out pretty well so far.
