As of this writing, there are three Ubisoft titles (Assassin's Creed Black Flag, World In Conflict Complete, and WATCH_DOGS) available for free at www.ubisoft.com

Edit: ...and now the moment is over. If you were interested in those titles, I hope you managed to get yourself a copy.

Earlier this week there has been two other giveaways, but on gog. What I wrote to advertise those is written below.

For another 42 hours as of this writing Oxenfree is available for free of charge at https://www.gog.com

...and those 42 hours have passed. I hope you nabbed a copy if the title interested you.

When I first wrote this post they had a Grim Fandango remastered giveaway, but it felt unnecessary to make another post. Below is what I first wrote.
For another 19 hours as of this writing Grim Fandango remastered is available free of charge at https://www.gog.com

EDIT: The 19 hours have passed. I hope you managed to grab a copy if you were interested in the title.
This has been a public service announcement; I hope it is appreciated.

Beats me. Though the fact that it is the remastered edition tells me that they actually put some effort into making sure it works for modern systems.

That's definitely worth the asking price. It gets a little bogged down by silly adventure game logic at times, but the writing is fantastic!

Thank you. Grim Fandango is one of the adventure games I missed back in their heyday. I played some really bad ones and missed some of the better ones.

I also missed it back in the day and while the subject didn't interest me- the more and more rare game writing of that kind becomes, the more it's value grows. So I definitely grabbed it.

EDIT: Grim Fandango, that is. Not Oxenfree or whatever this thread is edited to advertise.

Nabbed it, even though I already had a copy on Steam.

At the low low price of nil, there is no reason you shouldn't grab it, even if you only have a passing interest in adventure games. There's a reason Grim Fandango is considered one of the all-time greats.

I had been keeping an eye out for deals on this, and I'm unlikely to find a better one. Nabbed it.

Thanks for the heads-up!

Is GOG doing a 12 Days of Christmas or something? "Day 8: Oxenfree" says the site.

I saw that. I already own and have played in on steam but I don't mind. I describe it to people as "It's like Stranger Things, but with better writing".

Nice PSA, thanks dude. Nabbed it, despite not knowing what it is or if it'll ever get played. And now of course, I'm adding things to my cart....

Me too, probably the first adventure game I played to completion in years.

And triangles. Lots and lots of triangles. But yeah, definitely a Stranger Things vibe.
