Huh. I was just going to make a "Johnny Dumbo" joke only to discover I've been beaten to the punch. Feels good to know that you're not the only one who notices that Johnny Depp is in pretty much every single Tim Burton movie nowadays.
I mean, look, Johnny is a great actor. I even liked his Willy Wonka in Tim Burtons's
Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, even though I seem to be a minority in this on this website. And I heard somewhere that Depp and Burton are homies. But for fuck's sake, Burton, you don't need to cast Johnny Depp in every single fucking movie you make just because of that. I haven't actually seen
Alice In Wonderland, but am I right in assuming that the Mad Hatter got a bigger role just to show as much Depp as possible? Or am I just jumping to conclusions?
All that being said, though,

this is a good stance to take, I feel. Let's wait until the movie is actually out before we make any further judgements. Also,

if you don't like him as a director, then don't watch it.
this is also true. If you already don't like Tim Burton's movies, chances are that you might not like this one either, so save your money and spend it on something you actually like. If you're curious, you can wait until it's on Netflix or something.
