I loved Lisa :,(

Not in a creep stalker kind of way, I just really liked her Top Fives. Okay, maybe a touch of creep stalker kind of way too but it was mostly the interesting lists.

OT: It is kind of amazing just how long I've been here (and I know I'm not the oldest still active member but I have my Hitma...er...let's just say I'm working on that) considering that I was just a few months to graduating college when I joined. Good God, when did I become old?!?!

My only regret is...having....boneitis.....

I can't believe it's been over 6 years, the site's changed so much. Does anybody still remember the old layout, when did that change? I remember the big fuss it caused, and I think Fallout Jack got a warning for some stupid reason at the time.

There are 318 626 threads and 15 039 624 posts on these forums.
I hate to think that it would all be lost if those buggers ever pull the plug on the place.

My regret is that I never posted more when the site was still super active and just spent all my time lurking.

I miss Extra Credits (though I still watch them on Youtube), Jimquisition, Susan Arendt, the massive amount of stuff from Loading Ready Run that I thought the Escapist was run by them, particularly Unskippable, and Obama still Presidenting.

I dont miss Jack and Calumon though. I mean, he...they...no, he, was nice and all, but the gimmick...

I also dont miss the Low Content rule. Glad thats gone.

Was a user who would have bold text in his posts that were from "Calumon" which is a digimon he presumably really liked. Often would have him basically talking to himself. Alot of people found it endearing, but I did not really care for it.

Yeah she made a video about it on her youtube channel. I'm subscribed to it even though the content is pretty bland. She's just so adorable that I last much longer than other vlog style channels.

I've been a member since 2009 so I feel like a bit of a veteran. I stopped posting for awhile but found my way back as things really started to go downhill. I miss The Big Picture, Extra Credits (who have gone downhill in my opinion since moving to Youtube) and just how active it used to be here. I'd love to find another forum similar to this one but they're a dying breed as Reddit gets more and more popular. I've had a lot of good conversations on the Escapist. I've had a lot of hate and bile thrown my way too but hey, that's the internet. I don't miss the "celebrities" as someone else called them. They tended to dominate discussions and derail things imo. I like how it is now with a community where I recognize a lot of people by their avatars and what they post about.

I honestly agree about the community. I dont care personally about the smaller pool of users. Maybe there could be a few more faces, and from a "keep this site going" stand point, more users is better, but I like feeling like I know most everyone, and when new people do show up, I tend to notice them.

What I remember-

I lurked for a couple of years for some reason.

When I did joined, there were funny and interesting threads worth posting about.

Joining the MLP:FiM group at its early stage and with the popularity of the show, so did the group to the point that it can make a few new chat pages per minutes!

I escaped bordem from lack of games by joining a few role play games despite my English is bad.

The usual contrivisal stuff.

The slow decline of this site and group chat page.

Yeah I find it depressing at the current state of the site.
