Tips for removing super glue

Earlier today I was trying to fix my guitar with some super glue. It worked but now i have super glue all over my hands its already dry and I need some tips on removing it.

Run your hands under hot water. As hot as you can get your faucet. It'll be hot (dur), but hot water fixes pretty much any glue related problem.

I doubt this will work. Super glue isn't like hot glue, or even Elmer's glue for that matter. It's some sort of chemical change, not physical -- it actually bonds to skin instantly, if you, say, touch two fingers together after getting it on one of them.

On the other hand, the guys who are saying fingernail polish remover is a good option have it right. When I was a kid, I built some model kits and painted some miniatures, and I always had a bottle of fingernail polish remover handy to get the superglue off of my hands after I was done. You might want to use a scrub sponge in tandem with the acetone, to add a little bit of abrasiveness; the acetone weakens the glue, but it doesn't completely remove it.

It worked for me, so I figured I'd mention it. >_>

I apologize, then -- I thought you were speaking with experience from other kinds of glues. It's never worked for me, but then the water at my house doesn't get to scalding levels unless you put it in a pot and stick it on the stove, so you may be right that the kind of hot water you get in apartments, hotels, and the occasional house with a very powerful water heater could help to get rid of it.
