While pondering about the title of my PnP RPG that I'm currently writing *shameless self-promotion* I thought that it's funny how many game titles give you only vague description of what is it you're going to play. So with that in mind, let's see how many game titles can you interpret literally by their Title.

For example:

Ghost Recon- Game about a team of investigators, gathering info about supernatural phenomenons, mainly ghosts.

Starcraft- puzzle game about making stars from various gases.

You get the idea.

Your turn.

Torchlight - a cave exploration game, possibly like trying to escape from a maze or something. You need torches, though, since it's quite dark there, and light is essential...however the torches only last that long.

Dragon Age: A game in which you slowly, very, very, very slowly watch dragons hatch from their eggs, grow through childhood and puberty into adulthood, eventually become elderly until, finally, after years and years they die of old age.

In that case, any Final Fantasy game.

OT: Sonic the Hedgehog. Launch spine backed rodents out of a pressurized cannon and attempt to break the sound barrier.

Halo: A top-view game set in the modern times where you, the player, helps a man whose life is a complete wreck due to 32 years of bad decisions. Your job is to get him back on track, solving puzzles, organize his life, help him make friends and contacts so he can become successful in life. The compelling story that revolves around your relationship with the man and your very own existence will be the main theme of the game, with several different endings and with a whole bunch of sidequests there is something for everybody in this game.

Dragon Age: You play as a person as old as a dragon (i.e., VERY OLD) and die within seconds of startup.

Magicka: A puzzle game set inside a mana/magicka bar, where the player must play a tetris-esque game in order to regenerate the mana of the hero and prevent him from dying.

Guitar Hero: An action game set in a fantasy world in which the hero hits things with his guitar. So, essentially, Brütal Legend.

Wouldn't that be the end of any fantasy you have? Fantasy basically means not real while a story can be a real happening?

Final Fantasy insinuates that it will be the last fantasy.

There should not be any sequel. 'Final Fantasy 4', for example, is an oxymoron.

An oxymoron is two conflicting points of description. Like 'the blue man has red skin', or 'the living dead'. Yes, I know living dead refers to zombies, but still.

Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl.
You are some creeper who follows people as they tour Chernobyl. Or, it's a mystery game where you're a tour guide being stalked by someone in the shadows.

Bastion
A fortress creating simulator. Like a tower defense, except you can build walls and such.

Moonbase Alpha
You are some astronaut on the Moonbase Alpha.

Killing Floor
You are a butcher in the 1900's industrial mess, mirroring the book "The Jungle." Have fun in the meat packing plant as you slowly get infected by 100 randomly generated diseases!
