I played TP on the GC way back in 2006 and bought a Wii last month in prep for zelda 2010. I'v seen TP lying in the ex-rental bins at my local Blocky for 25-30 $AU. is it worth a revisit for the wii waggle?

Horseback combat is a notable step-up, but I wouldn't say it's worth going out of your way to get roughly the same game.[footnote]That said, if it's as available and cheap as you're making it seem, eh.. why not?[/footnote]

Unless the novelty of having a game where Link is right-handed is just too much for you to handle.

Personally I'd say yes. While it doesn't bring anything new except waving your arms around it's still a great game to replay.

I just got it a couple of weeks ago, and I'm quite enjoying it so far. Some of the puzzle solutions and controls have been slightly counterintuitive, but the system is overall quite fun, the story so far is excellent, and the four boss fights I've had by this point were a genuine kick (Stallord is also my new favorite Zelda boss).

I certainly don't know your opinion on or availability of money, but since the price range you mentioned is between $20-25 US, I'd consider it worth it.

EDIT: And because my reading comprehension was shot for a moment, I didn't notice your first sentence.

...yeah, I'd still consider it worth it, but that's because I'm loving the Wii controls so far (but then, I routinely mime Link's victory pose after boss fights with the wiimote, so make of that what you will).

If you still have your GC disc it will play on your Wii. Also depending how much time you put in the GC version will mess you up a bit as all the maps are reversed so your memory will hinder your gameplay(slightly).

Having never played the GC version, I cant say fore sure if it's a step down or a step up, but it certainly isn't bad on the Wii.

If it's cheap and you no longer have your GC version I would say go for it but otherwise I would say just stick with the one you have. I don't see it being that much of a difference.

If you really, really like the fishing then yeah it is. But otherwise no. I wish I'd gotten the gamecube version instead of the wii because it reads the movements like shit so if you're against an enemy that blocks certain type of slashes/stabs whatever then you're fucked until you get lucky and all the moving just to attack is murder on the wrist. But damn is the fishing ever fun on the wii.
0.o Funny. In all three playthroughs of the game on various TV sizes. I've never had this problem.

But yeah. As people are saying. If you already have the cube version no need to upgrade really.

TV size makes no difference on the terrible sensor of the wiimote.
Still had no problem with the Wiimote being unresponsive at any point during this game. Only one time I had trouble with it was getting used to Okami.

Okami is a MUST have game. Everywhere I went (except here.) people say the Wii one is better. The only difference was due to contract reasons they had to remove the credits from the game. Which was a shame. (I think the initial developer went bust/was taken over or something.)

The Wii version has the added advantage of being easier to draw with (if you know that you can hold down Z I think it was to make lines easier.) than the PS2 one. But if you don't have a Wii you can get the PS2 one although its more expensive usually.

If you love Zelda you need it really. And 3D Dot Game Heroes.

It really felt like the world design and the wii control was a great match. I've heard similar things about RE4. I can't imagine playing zelda with stupid sticks anymore.

That's because Nintendo focuses on smoke and mirrors to create their crap. Try this at home.

Turn on your Wii, have a friend hold up a lighter on the left and right edges of your television. Point your Wiimote in between the lighters and it will work. You can just use candles instead of a sensor bar.
