I want to get a cell phone and I was just wondering what's the best Cell phone company to go with? I use my mother's cell phone (her work gave her a black berry) and she is with Rogers which is shit (from my own experience) and so I want to get my own Cell phone but I would like to know what company is bestto get one with.

Sorry about that other topic of mine. Completely forgot to put in the fact that I am Canadian and live in Canadiana

I'm with Telus. I've yet to have any problems, although the plans aren't the greatest when compared to something like Wind Mobile.

I would choose Bell for sure. that's what I use. They have some awesome plans and my phone ALWAYS has service.

The whole "Rogers/Bell is shit" thing varies from person to person. I for one am with Bell and I have never had a problem despite everyone calling them shit. You could probably get a better deal from some of the other competitors. The main reason I stick with bell, is because I have a corporate plan that cuts my bill in half. So I have 1100 minutes, unlimited data, call display, call waiting etc etc. Basically everything.

It also depends on what kind of phone you're looking to get. Generic? Probably Koodo or Virgin. Smart Phone? Bell, rogers, I THINK Fido and Telus.

I also heard Wind is pretty good, but I'm not sure if they have service outside Ontario.

Just what ever you do stay away from bell and rogers they are notorious from screwing there customers over with hidden fee's or charging you for things you didn't do or even simply doubling your rate just cause happens to everyone I have ever known that's gone with them myself included '

I use Fido, but I don't have a data plan. Unlimited text and 100 minutes from 7pm onwards. I've done some research and Koodo seems a little bit cheaper, but I have the LG Gossip and I like that. Again, don't use a data plan though. I have an HP Touchpad.

I'm in the prairies, maybe if you have a Wireless Wave store near you, try them, they offer a few different companies, I think.

Fido is Rogers, though, you have to remember everything is either Bell or Rogers in Canada. Just under different names with slightly different deals.

Edit: Yes, there are a few new companies in the market now, but the coverage is monopolized by Bell and Rogers.

We've tried a few companies in the past, Rogers, Telus, Bell, Virgin. So far, in terms of pricing and coverage, weve actually found Bell to be the best. Rogers is terrible in every sense of the word. But Bell has decent pricing, decent customer service, and we found the network was the best out of all of them. We also really really liked Virgin, but the connectivity wasn't as good.

I'm with Wind. They're good but check the service maps online to make sure you'll be covered. They only started operating like 2 years ago, so the service area isn't as big as like Rogers, but you might be covered.

Just btw, Canada is a big place, like a REALLY big place. If you want better answer you should be more specific.

I find that Rogers and Bell generally provide worse service than other communications providers (given their overall market dominance, they seem to have a competition in how poor a service they can provide their customers without them switching to the other provider.)

As such, I'd suggest steering clear of them. I've heard moderately good things about Wind mobile, and I've always been with Telus, and have gotten pretty solid service from them. I'd suggest picking up one of those two.

It could have something to do with the fact that Canadians suffer from not having the same service providers as Americans, but who knows, we just like each other better. And who likes Americans? Psh.

I actually kinda like Rogers...

Then again, the fact that it's a company phone that i don't pay for probably has something to do with it, everything's more bearable when it's free (for me! :p)

Used to be fido. Presently Mobilicity. Unlimited call, text, and data for about $50 a month after tax. I'm a lot happier to be contract free.

Sorry, nerved owned a phone so I can't say but what part of Canada do you live in. I here in Alberta.

I believed he said Canadian because he wants a phone that will be good in this country. Also not to discriminate but some Americans I know think we live in igloo's, and think This country is part of the USA.
