Dennis Hopper, actor.

His cancer had been confirmed as terminal a while ago, and here we are.

He definitely left his mark, not least in my young mind as a rather effective King Koopa (your mileage may vary).

Thoughts?

That's too bad, I never like seeing another person die.

R.I.P. Dennis Hopper.

R.I.P Dennis Hopper

Its never fun to hear about a death.

Ehh, the Super Mario Movie jokes won't be nearly as funny anymore.
Rest In Peace, Dennis, and may you be remembered for your better roles.

Its sad that he died but I have to say I've never heard off him.
!!!!

He was getting up there in age. 74 isn't all that young for a guy born in the 30s. I know that sounds weird, but the average lifespan for males changes from decade to decade.

In any case, he made good bad guys and was a great actor back in the day.

Wow, they're dropping like flies.

Dio, Coleman, that Thundercats writer, Hopper.

It's a real shame.
I wouldn't call "that Thundercats writer" a celebrity.

Its weird how much this community has changed, the last time there was an influx of celebrity deaths all I heard was 'Blah blah, just another human being I'm a cynical bastard.' But this time around I see genuine sympathy, and that's nice to see... for once.

Too bad to hear about Dennis Hopper, its sad seeing old actors pass away, seems like old Hollywood is slowly disappearing.

Humor in bad taste is still in bad taste.
Good point.

But I'll stand by my thread title - if I'm not slick with grief over his death, why should I pretend to be? It's a shame and a loss, but that's life (or rather death).

Also, after such an outflux of folks I guess I've become a little flippant.

Wait....Who? I never heard of the guy and from the sound of relation in the Mario Bros. I don't think I want to.....that and I don't know any movies he had stared in.

That's because it's still reletivily early. This thread is over 20 minutes old. Give it time, I'm sure the people who are tired of Celebrity deaths will show up. Or they'll wait for people to make 20 threads about the same thing.

I think this summers is trying to outdo last summer in terms of celebrity death.

Next summer LA is probably going to get nuked.

Sad.
He was an awesome artist(not only actor, also painter & sculptor).
Hope he died peacefully.
