Tonsilectomy

Hey guys and gals,

I just got my tonsils out and it really hurts. Has anyone else had their tonsil's out? I'm 21 and so the recovery is pretty bad. I'm on day 3. All i can eat is popsicles and jello. When I swallow I keep swallowing a lot of air. Who has recovery tips!? Sorry if I write this poorly, i've had a lot of pain killers and it made me a little loopy.

Ice cream. Lots and lots of ice cream. And milkshakes. You'll gain like 15 pounds, but it'll make the pain much more bearable. The combination of cream and sugar got me through my tonsillectomy with minimal discomfort.
