So to all who said it was a waste of time and I say "HAH!". Water is now proven to be on the moon. This opens up all kinds of possibilities to colonizing the Moon as they now don't have to ship water there. It makes it all so much easier! People were all disappointed because there was no cool explosion for every to gawk at. But the science got done and it was not a waste. NASA kicks ass! First the Moon and then onto Mars!

Where there is water, there is stuff! So now we have reasons to travel to the moon again. And again. And AGAIN!

Perfect. Now we can actually think about colonization. And maybe someday,we'll have entire interstellar republic!

Or in simpler words,RAWK ON!

Actually this was a report made before the Lcross hit the moon. And it doesnt say that water is proven to be on the moon. It says there is evidence of it.

Plus, the Lcross impact failed to put up as much debris as they had planned so it has made it impossible to test the result of the Lcross.

I think Lcross was a good idea, but it failed.

The new findings, detailed in the Sept. 25 issue of the journal Science, come in the wake of further evidence of lunar polar water ice by NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter and just weeks before the planned lunar impact of NASA's LCROSS satellite, which will hit one of the permanently shadowed craters at the moon's south pole in hope of churning up evidence of water ice deposits in the debris field.
a swing and a miss.

EDIT: ninja'd and failed. -.-

if we can't breath on it and its that hard to get water colonizing on it will be difficult we should look to colonizing underwater that's where most of the earth is we would have a lot more room.

I didn't find it a waste, I say we bomb every planet. Nothing scientific, just for my entertainment.
No, no, we need to do it in the name of science. See how big an exploision we can get! The shits and giggles come after we've perfected our uber-de-duper nuclear bomb.

OT: This opens up a world of possibilities.(implied pun intended) I think its good we'er using weapons on somehing other than eachother.

Yeah! Moon Water! Remember it will a long time before we can actually colonize the moon.
