What the F***? Q*Bert? Pac-man? Are these even "heroes" in any sense of the word? And how is Snake not on the list? And if you're going to go retro, you need to include sonic.

I agree with his inclusion of Samus Aran... most of the others I don't care about. Shepard should be in there somewhere.

I can't really pick a "greatest", but my favorite hero(well, heroine) is Heather Mason from SH3. Adore her.

Yes, they probably are, but I don't know them. But then again, I'm 17 years old and my very first game I played was Tomb Raider and my first pokémon game was Saphire, so I'm a bit after.

I think old wizard is wrong about most of the things he talks about. The dude should man up get a PS2 or Xbox. Hes just a hater about new games.
I was going to add Kratos because he is my favorite character but I dont think he is a bastard. The issue with this gen of games is that they aren't classical heroes they all have a darkside or they are anti-heros. I think the list of heros stated above has that goody two shoes type hero. Also Nathan Drake is a great character but he's more out for his own good than doing hero stuff. The hero stuff happens by accident.
