Well, this promises to be fun.
King (Art of Fighting & King of Fighters, see avatar)
Determined, powerful, independant, a good organiser (almost always leads the team she's in and has at some point owned a bar and/or a restaurant), always well dressed, likes to kick stereotypes in the nads (by being not only a woman but also the only muay thai fighter in video games not dressed in shorts).
Elena Fisher (Uncharted)
Determined, independant (hhmmm, I'm detecting a pattern here), resourceful, quick wit and a pretty smile.
Vanessa Lewis (Virtua Fighter 4-5)
What you get when a woman goes through military training and goes professional. Works as a bodyguard and is utterly devoted to her task. Where King and Vanessa (the other one, from KoF) already mess with the general concept that women in fighting games are quick instead of powerful, Vane takes this to a whole new level by having a moveset that includes takedowns, locks, the breaking of various limbs, snapping necks, haymakers and flying roundhouses. She will basically break you in half if you get in the way. Like the next entry they felt she needed a boobjob for VF5, but it wasn't nearly as gratuitous.
Ivy Valentine (Soul Blade, Soul Calibur 1-4)
Before upgrading to full porn star status in the last game (a game I generally ignore exists) always managed to be both sexy and classy at the same time. Highly independant to the point of beating the snot out of her bastard of a father. Always ends up making the right choice despite the evil influences that try to sway her (ie. her heritage and want for revenge).
Ishmael (Blood 2: The Chosen and Blood 1 cameo/corpse)
Mysterious nutcase with magical abilities who will go to any length to gain power. Joins a doomsday cult that actually manages to summon their god of choice. Of course he then decides to betray said deity because he figures he can get something out of it from the powers that be. So maybe not the smartest cookie, but he's got guts. He's also the one who seems to glue the Chosen together. If you can keep those other three psychopaths (Caleb a vengefuelled half-corpse, Ophelia the zombie-man's girlfriend who seems to like to torture people and Gabriella a transsexual who hates human beings in general and likes shooting the biggest cannon she can find) focused you've got to be doing something right.
ps.
I had half a mind to put Vanessa (KoF), Cammy White, Kate Archer or Bayonetta up there instead of Ishmael and make a full set. But they're just a tad (or a mile in the case of B.) over the top in the sassy lady stereotype department. Jade didn't make it because she never really stuck with me for some reason, same goes for Ms Vance. Plus I like weirdos as well so had to put an example of that up there. I'm also a huge fan of Blood but Caleb never seemed too much of an interesting character.
