Well, the topic is kinda self-explanatory. There are lots of wonderful series put under ground by strange publishers or any other circumstances. What personally I hope to get from this topic is lots of obscure yet nice forgotten titles )

My list:

5. Space Rangers
This game really needs Part 3. Dominators were nearly perfect procedurally generated humporous space adventure/RPG, and it was soooo close to be really perfect!..
PS And yes, there were recent Space Rangers 2 HD, but seriously, it's not what I mean )

4. Dungeon Keeper
Spawn the Hellspawn, FPS-control them, cast the spells and do tonns of indirect control. All in the name of EVIL!!!11

3. Ground Control
No seriously, who the hell eliminates the title on cliffhanger and without even making a third campagn?! I want to play terrans! Officially!

2. Homeworld
Well, if someone should do Homeworld - it's Relic. And, AFAIK, there was an attempt to buy a franchise from dying THQ by some obscure company. Any way, Homeworld is an awesome series with great atmosphere, original setting and wonderful gameplay. There is no game making you feel a real space admiral then this one (IMHO).

1. Dune
This RTS series from Westwood were simply too awesome. Worm sign!

Captcha: what's that. O___o

I wouldn't mind a new Gotcha Force, a party-based 3D arena beat-um-up style fighter for the Gamecube. It didn't receive all that good of a reception from most sources, but it's a really fun game. The story's almost non-existent, and the voice acting is horrible(I'm pretty sure the developers just had their kids read the lines), but the combat's fun and there's a ton of Gotcha Borgs to collect. It's one of my favorite Gamecube games. It was re-released in 2012 in Japan, so there's some hope for a sequel, but then again, this is Capcom we're talking about.

Mister Mosquito, one of the weirdest PS2 games I've ever played. You play as a mosquito that lives in a house occupied by a family, and the object is to collect blood from the family without being noticed in order to stock up for the winter. It's surprisingly engaging and fun. There was a sequel that never made it out of Japan, and I'd love to see it localized.

Soul Blazer needs to be on my 3DS dammit.

And more Tenchu. I've erased the Wii game from my memory sufficiently.

Space Crusade
Dawn of War (as an RTS, not a Company of Heroes style)

Strange how everybody wants Keeper...... Are there any reviews for War for the Overworld yet? Is it good? Or is it another Impire?

Dude. A new EVO game would be dooooooooope. So much could go so right with that game.

OT: I'd like to see another game in the same vein as Frequency and Amplitude. Such great rhythm games. Basically the best, in terms of mechanics. Song lists could've been better.

5. Metroid (Prime). I can't think of a deader-than-dead fifth series to round out this list, so I'll just be honest with something that would make me buy a new console. While I'd probably enjoy a new entry of this more than the rest of this list, I don't see this hiatus lasting much longer. Who knows... maybe Nintendo has a surprise prototype lined up for E3?

4. Whatever sequels were planned to follow Anachronox [http://www.gog.com/gamecard/anachronox]. Thinking back on it, it probably wasn't as funny, clever, or well-designed as I remember, but I thought it was way better than it had any right to be and I still want to know where it was going.

3. The rest of the Shenmue saga. To be honest, I wasn't even sold on the series until I played the last half hour or so of the second game. I remember feeling really sad witnessing all the interesting things because I was already aware that it was a dead project by the time I played it. Then again, I played them nearly a decade ago during a weird period in my life, so it might just be nostalgia.

2. Panzer Dragoon. The second and third games are just incredible fusions of art, mood, and aesthetic. I don't even care if it's Panzer Dragoon so much as just getting that creative team back together for something not involving Mario and Sonic Olympics.

1. The non-rushed second half and other five episodes of Xenogears (and no, the Xenosaga games don't count in even the slightest). I remember getting really attached to this game and while I'm not sure I'd like it so much now, it's yet another big question mark of my youth. What little I know about what the other episodes involved makes some of them sound a bit iffy (I never understood how the whole "extinction from sterility" backstory worked given how humanity was still just fine), but I'm open-minded.

Tie Fighter - Love crushing the rebellion and blasting pirates.

Dune series - The whole story is so captivating to me, it needs to be done anew but it has to be done right.

Command and Conquer. - Up to Red Alert 2 it was my favorite RTS series. I even did a focus group for RA2 but they didnt like my opinions on the game play.

Dungeon Keeper - Evil is good!

World In Conflict - I really enjoyed the game and it's one add on.

- I agree the 2nd DOW was fun and the last stand was an interesting idea but I prefer a more old school RTS theme. I love the WH universe so I have high expectations for the new WH40k game.

I loved E.V.O.

It's my favorite non-mainstream SNES game. It's really sad that nothing similar to it has come out.

Surprisingly enough, nobody has suggested Chrono. There hasn't been a Chrono game since Chrono Cross on the PSX! Square needs to get off their lazy ass and make another one.

And still on the Square thought, I'd like to see another Mana game. The most recent one I played was Legend of Mana also on the PSX. While I know there is one on the PS2, I heard it wasn't any good and skipped it. A next gen open world Mana game could be amazing. It should have local and online co-op or AI partners with decent intelligence.

Thankfully the Xeno series is still going on, at least in spirit, but Nintendo has their grubby hands on Monolith Soft :(
