Hey guys, i was just wondering can you trade games in for money or can you just trade them in to pay less for other games? Also would they do this at EB games?

Dunno about other countries, but EB games in Australia generally trades store credit for used games.
Of course, this only applies to games that has resell value.

I find that EB tends to be overpriced, though.

DO NOT DO IT, you will get less cash compared to in store credit and even then it's not worth it. And if you love sports games then you will not get much depending on the year. I say go on e-bay and use that money.

I don't sell games, unless of course I have multiple copies. I tend to trade them to others more often then anything else.

I collect games through, so I think you can see why I don't sell them.

You can trade them in for store credit. At least usually.
And I trade in games only on occasion. There have been times when I get $4 for selling 4 new games, and times when I get $100 for selling older games.
If you want good money, sell things that are rare, and if you want REALLY good money for your games, don't sell them back to stores, just sell them online.

If you trade games for cash at eb, they will give you 10% less than the store credit. Which is pretty poor

There's a used game store right around the corner from my apartment. I was shocked when I traded in the new MOH, they gave me 35 bucks for it. Cash. I was expecting some sort of credit. I don't think EB will give you cash though.

Also, on a side note, I feel trading in games is like walking out of a movie. I've only done it twice. The other was with that horrible newish LotR game.
