Traffic Court!

I have a court date tomorrow, because nobody ever bothered to tell the police that out-of-state inspections are still valid in new york.

my case is pretty much bulletproof, but i was wondering what experiences other escapists have had fighting tickets. What happened, what was it like, did the man screw you over?

Also, how are you supposed to dress for traffic court anyway?

Like any court appearance, dress well, as in a suit well. Otherwise you look like you don't care and looks mean a lot when it comes to matters like this. You would wear a suit for a job interview, so you should for a traffic ticket. I haven't had any which is great, no court appearances for me!

It never works in my exp. Just be sure to bring EVERYTHING, documents, law text, papers relating to inspection, whatever is related to your evidence.

I personally hate traffic court, when the policeman who wrote you the ticket is joking with the judge... you are fucked lol. Not even 2-3 witnessess, helped. I just hate that a cops word is enough to convict you. That said a traffic court lawyer is a iWin button. But for something like your case i'd say just the proper documentation is good enough.

I had a small speeding ticket but I was lucky my uncle is a cop in the district so he helped reduce it. Although there was a 16 year old there that was caught doing 135 in a 45, which he claimed he only did because his dad wanted him to test his new car. The judge didn't give him any sympathy.

Just dress well, pay attention to the judge,be respectful, and keep your hands out of your pockets is what i was told.

Falcon Punch the prosecuting lawyer when the judge isn't looking. Proceed to threaten to do the same to each and every member of the jury (assuming you Yanks have juries for traffic court) unless they agree with your plea. Then your case is pretty watertight...

Get in a fight as soon as you enter the courtroom. You gotta kick someone's ass or be someone's *****.

dress well, in a suit or at the very least a shirt and tie. also you should be clean shaven AND have nice hair or at least make it look respectable, ie pony tail or styled.

also refer to the judge at all time as "your honour" if they correct you then use the title they say, if not then resort to "sir" or "ma'am". also refer to the cop as "officer" and you can use his name. at all times be respectful and don't be forceful or act arrogant, heck even be sorry that you are right and that you did nothing wrong. cause if you act idiotic, the judge might not side with you even tho you might be right.

HOWEVER a lot of cops have a bad habit of not showing up for traffic court dates, so you might get lucky and get off on the charge.
