Ouch!

The ending there was very touching. The reverse image of helping someone up, is letting them go.

Saw this yesterday. Amazing trailer. Props to the team that used the footage so well. There's a recut version floating around that runs the entire sequence in chronological order (and forwards), it's nowhere near as compelling, but it helps clarify the scene if you get lost.

Everyone keep in mind what she did wrong; When running away from something NEVER look over your shoulder it reduces your speed by 40-60%.

This is easily the greatest trailer I've ever seen. Nothing comes close in terms of the raw emotion of it. I've killed millions of NPC's in my years as a gamer and watched many characters I like die, but the death of this small family twisted my heart into a knot.

In terms of substance, there's nothing new in Dead Island's concept. It's all about the presentation.

Not afraid to admit that I cry every time I watch this... Turned it off 1/3 of the way through this time.

That was a great watch.
I'll be interested to see what this game does differently to the other zombie games out.

The game definitely begins some serious foreshadowing while the two points of the video meet up. You know she falls from the building, then you find out she had turned, makes you realize she gets caught and bit.

It's finally nice to see a zombie game that has some emotion in it and doesn't seem so horribly farfetch'd. This looks like a game trying to push the barriers of games as an art medium to me and for that, I salute it...

Damn, that's a good trailer, it'd be heartbreaking if the game ended up being a piece of shit after watching that. This trailer alone hypes up the game to me more than FF XIII's did.

Bah, horrifically over-the-top and so clearly trying to make us feel soemthing it goes right past and makes me cynical. A trailer like this is basically the same as jumping up and down waving your arms going 'look at how mature and horrific I am, look at how mature and horrific I am.'

It makes me very, very aware that I'm watching something that someone put together, rather than a naturally evolving scene.

Not moving, not poignant, just painful.

With the amount of talk this trailer is generating, i really hope the game is actually half way decent, on the other hand it will be fun to watch critics tear it apart if it turns out to be a bland run of the mill zombie game.

Very. It's not often that you come across a Zombie game that entices emotions other than disgust and fear, but rather sorrow as well.

A) I think we can give what looks to be an 8 year old a break when it comes to FAST ZOMBIES. ;P
B) 40-60? That sounds a little high to me. XP Sure it isnt around 10-15?
Side note: I could barely watch this trailer, I can only imagine what this does to a father with a girl about her age. -.-

Yeah, as a trailer it's nothing new, but it's done really well. That being said I love the L4D franchise, so this sounds right up my alley. If they work it like Valve did (but better, as it sounds from reading the site) then I'll definitely buy it.
