Okay yeah, I know it's early days, but I'm already disappointed. I actually liked XIII and it's party members, now they replace them for some new dork and a side character?

With all the quicktime events all the developers are putting into games it doesn't seem as if the smartphone games are competing with the mainstream games, but that the mainstream games are trying to compete with smartphone games.

Don't want quicktime events.

Interesting... there's some sort of monsters as team members going on. At 1:20, there's a Pulseworker as a party member. Also, Moogles!

They made a big deal about Lightning, but where the hell is Snow and the rest of the l'Cie?

I also noticed that in every battle scene except Lightning's, everyone is a commando. I wonder if there will be different classes from last time.

Huh, so we'll get to play Serah and some dude that looks like Fang if she had blonde hair?

Hmm... I will still get it and so far there are no signs of Hope, which makes me happy.

Prediction: Noel will turn out to be sinister and be leading Serah into a trap for an overall gain.

The line "A future where everyone lives" reeks of someone who has lost loved ones and will happily take a hit on the karma level to undo it/protect others.

Putting QTEs can work with this - Legend of Dragoon had it and it worked wonders, plus it's putting interactivity back into the fights.

Good to see some cinematic fights too (Lightning riding Odin/Sleipner shooting at whatever that creature was), no change mechanically but certainly makes things more interesting.

That aside, X-2 story sucked as it was made post mortem - hopefully this isn't true here.

I'll pray that they learned what we hated about XIII and do it right this time.

In any case, being the fanboy I am, I'll probably get it either way.
